14Absalón y todos los jefes israelitas dijeron: “El consejo de Husai el arquita es mejor que el de Ahitofel”. Pero el Señor había decidido frustrar el buen consejo de Ahitofel, que era mejor, para traer el desastre a Absalón.

14Entonces Absalom y todos los de Israel dijeron: El consejo de Husai Arachîta es mejor que el consejo de Achitophel. Porque había Jehová ordenado que el acertado consejo de Achitophel se frustrara, para que Jehová hiciese venir el mal sobre Absalom.

14And Absalom and all the men of Israel said, The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of Ahithophel. For the LORD had appointed to defeat the good counsel of Ahithophel, to the intent that the LORD might bring evil upon Absalom.
