14Da sprach Absalom und jedermann in Israel: Der Rat Husais, des Arachiten, ist besser denn Ahithophels Rat. Aber der HERR schickte es also, daß der gute Rat Ahithophels verhindert wurde, auf daß der HERR Unheil über Absalom brächte.

14Entonces Absalom y todos los de Israel dijeron: El consejo de Husai Arachîta es mejor que el consejo de Achitophel. Porque había Jehová ordenado que el acertado consejo de Achitophel se frustrara, para que Jehová hiciese venir el mal sobre Absalom.

14And Absalom and all the men of Israel said, The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of Ahithophel. For the LORD had appointed to defeat the good counsel of Ahithophel, to the intent that the LORD might bring evil upon Absalom.
