12Absalom rief auch den Giloniter Achitophel, Davids Ratgeber, aus seiner Stadt Gilo, als er die Opfer darbrachte. So gewann die Verschwörung Kraft, und das Volk ging hin und ward immer zahlreicher bei Absalom.

12And Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David’s counsellor, from his city, even from Giloh, while he offered sacrifices. And the conspiracy was strong; for the people increased continually with Absalom.
