E ora tutta la parentela se la prende contro la tua serva, e dicono: Dà nelle mani a noi colui che ha ucciso il fratello, affinchè lo facciamo morire per vendicare la morte del fratello, cui egli ha ucciso, e leviamo dal mondo l'erede. E cercano di spegnere una scintilla, che mi era rimasa, onde non resti più nome, nè reliquia di mio marito sopra la terra.
Y he aquí toda la parentela se ha levantado contra tu sierva, diciendo: Entrega al que mató á su hermano, para que le hagamos morir por la vida de su hermano á quien él mató, y quitemos también el heredero. Así apagarán el ascua que me ha quedado, no dejando á mi marido nombre ni reliquia sobre la tierra.
And, behold, the whole family is risen against thine handmaid, and they said, Deliver him that smote his brother, that we may kill him, for the life of his brother whom he slew; and we will destroy the heir also: and so they shall quench my coal which is left, and shall not leave to my husband neither name nor remainder upon the earth.
Behold, the whole family has risen against your servant, and they say, ‘Deliver him who struck his brother, that we may kill him for the life of his brother whom he killed, and so destroy the heir also.’ Thus they would quench my coal which is left, and would leave to my husband neither name nor remainder on the surface of the earth.”
