Mandò egli pertanto a chiamar Gioab per farlo andare a trovar il re: ma quegli non volle venire a lui. E avendo mandato per la seconda volta, e quegli avendo ricusato di venire,

Y mandó Absalom por Joab, para enviarlo al rey; mas no quiso venir á él; ni aunque envió por segunda vez, quiso él venir.

Therefore Absalom sent for Joab, to have sent him to the king; but he would not come to him: and when he sent again the second time, he would not come.

Then Absalom sent for Joab, to send him to the king, but he would not come to him. Then he sent again a second time, but he would not come.
