2 Samuel 13

Dopo di ciò egli avvenne che Ammon figliuolo di Davidde s'innamorò di una sorella di Assalonne figliuolo anch'esso di David, chiamata Thamar, che era molto bella,

ACONTECIÓ después de esto, que teniendo Absalom hijo de David una hermana hermosa que se llamaba Thamar, enamoróse de ella Amnón hijo de David.

And it came to pass after this, that Absalom the son of David had a fair sister, whose name was Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loved her.

After this, Absalom the son of David had a beautiful sister, whose name was Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loved her.

E concepì tanta passione, che per troppo amore cadde ammalato: perchè essendo ella fanciulla, gli parve difficile di poter far male con lei.

Y estaba Amnón angustiado hasta enfermar, por Thamar su hermana: porque por ser ella virgen, parecía á Amnón que sería cosa dificultosa hacerle algo.

And Amnon was so vexed, that he fell sick for his sister Tamar; for she was a virgin; and Amnon thought it hard for him to do any thing to her.

Amnon was so troubled that he became sick because of his sister Tamar, for she was a virgin, and it seemed hard to Amnon to do anything to her.

Or Ammon avea un amico, uomo molto sagace, per nome Gionadab, che era figliuolo di Semmaa fratello di Davidde.

Y Amnón tenía un amigo que se llamaba Jonadab, hijo de Simea, hermano de David: y era Jonadab hombre muy astuto.

But Amnon had a friend, whose name was Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David’s brother: and Jonadab was a very subtil man.

E questi gli disse: Perchè ti vai tu struggendo ogni dì più, tu figliuolo del re? perchè non ti apri con me? E Ammon gli disse: Sono innamorato di Thamar sorella di mio fratello Assalonne.

Y éste le dijo: Hijo del rey, ¿por qué de día en día vas así enflaqueciendo? ¿no me lo descubrirás á mí? Y Amnón le respondió: Yo amo á Thamar la hermana de Absalom mi hermano.

And he said unto him, Why art thou, being the king’s son, lean from day to day? wilt thou not tell me? And Amnon said unto him, I love Tamar, my brother Absalom’s sister.

He said to him, “Why, son of the king, are you so sad from day to day? Won’t you tell me?” Amnon said to him, “I love Tamar, my brother Absalom’s sister.”

Rispose a lui Gionadab: Mettiti a letto, e fingi qualche malattia: e quando venga il padre tuo a vederti di' a lui: Venga, ti prego, da me la mia sorella Thamar, e mi dia da mangiare e mi faccia colle sue mani un manicaretto, onde io mi ristori.

Y Jonadab le dijo: Acuéstate en tu cama, y finge que estás enfermo; y cuando tu padre viniere á visitarte, dile: Ruégote que venga mi hermana Thamar, para que me conforte con alguna comida, y aderece delante de mí alguna vianda, para que viendo yo, la coma de su mano.

And Jonadab said unto him, Lay thee down on thy bed, and make thyself sick: and when thy father cometh to see thee, say unto him, I pray thee, let my sister Tamar come, and give me meat, and dress the meat in my sight, that I may see it, and eat it at her hand.

Jonadab said to him, “Lay down on your bed and pretend to be sick. When your father comes to see you, tell him, ‘Please let my sister Tamar come and give me bread to eat, and prepare the food in my sight, that I may see it and eat it from her hand.’”

Ammon adunque si mise a letto, e cominciò a fare il malato: ed essendo andato il re a vederlo, disse Ammon al re. Venga, ti prego, a vedermi la mia sorella Thamar, affinchè faccia in mia presenza due cordiali, e dalle mani di lei io prenda mia refezione.

Acostóse pues Amnón, y fingió que estaba enfermo, y vino el rey á visitarle: y dijo Amnón al rey: Yo te ruego que venga mi hermana Thamar, y haga delante de mí dos hojuelas, que coma yo de su mano.

So Amnon lay down, and made himself sick: and when the king was come to see him, Amnon said unto the king, I pray thee, let Tamar my sister come, and make me a couple of cakes in my sight, that I may eat at her hand.

So Amnon lay down and faked being sick. When the king came to see him, Amnon said to the king, “Please let my sister Tamar come and make me a couple of cakes in my sight, that I may eat from her hand.”

Davidde adunque mandò a dire a Thamar: Va a casa di Ammon tuo fratello, e fagli qualche cosa da mangiare.

Y David envió á Thamar á su casa, diciendo: Ve ahora á casa de Amnón tu hermano, y hazle de comer.

Then David sent home to Tamar, saying, Go now to thy brother Amnon’s house, and dress him meat.

E Thamar entrò nella camera di Ammon suo fratello che giaceva in letto: ed ella avendo preso della farina, e stemperatala con acqua in sua presenza fece cuocere i cordiali.

Y fué Thamar á casa de su hermano Amnón, el cual estaba acostado; y tomó harina, y amasó é hizo hojuelas delante de él, y aderezólas.

So Tamar went to her brother Amnon’s house; and he was laid down. And she took flour, and kneaded it, and made cakes in his sight, and did bake the cakes.

E dopo avergli fatti cuocere, li prese, e gli mise in un vaso, e li pose dinanzi a lui, il quale non volle mangiare: ma disse Ammon: Si mandi via tutta la gente: E quando tutti si furono ritirati,

Tomó luego la sartén, y sacólas delante de él: mas él no quiso comer. Y dijo Amnón: Echad fuera de aquí á todos. Y todos se salieron de allí.

And she took a pan, and poured them out before him; but he refused to eat. And Amnon said, Have out all men from me. And they went out every man from him.

Disse Ammon a Thamar: porta il cibo nella mia camera, affinchè io lo riceva dalla tua mano. Thamar allora portò i cordiali, che avea fatti, e li presentò al fratello Ammon nella camera.

Entonces Amnón dijo á Thamar: Trae la comida á la alcoba, para que yo coma de tu mano. Y tomando Thamar las hojuelas que había aderezado, llevólas á su hermano Amnón á la alcoba.

And Amnon said unto Tamar, Bring the meat into the chamber, that I may eat of thine hand. And Tamar took the cakes which she had made, and brought them into the chamber to Amnon her brother.

Amnon said to Tamar, “Bring the food into the room, that I may eat from your hand.” Tamar took the cakes which she had made, and brought them into the room to Amnon her brother.

Ma quand'ella gli ebbe presentato il cibo egli la prese, e disse: Vieni, sorella mia nel letto con me.

Y como ella se las puso delante para que comiese, él trabó de ella, diciéndole: Ven, hermana mía acuéstate conmigo.

And when she had brought them unto him to eat, he took hold of her, and said unto her, Come lie with me, my sister.

When she had brought them near to him to eat, he took hold of her and said to her, “Come, lie with me, my sister!”

Ma ella risposegli: Non fare, fratel mio non farmi violenza; perocché simil cosa non è permessa in Israele non fare questa pazzia.

Ella entonces le respondió: No, hermano mío, no me hagas fuerza; porque no se ha de hacer así en Israel. No hagas tal desacierto.

And she answered him, Nay, my brother, do not force me; for no such thing ought to be done in Israel: do not thou this folly.

She answered him, “No, my brother, do not force me! For no such thing ought to be done in Israel. Don’t you do this folly!

Perocché io non potrò soffrire il mio obbrobrio, e tu sarai come un insensato in Israele: ma parla piuttosto al re, ed egli non mi negherà a te.

Porque, ¿dónde iría yo con mi deshonra? Y aun tú serías estimado como uno de los perversos en Israel. Ruégote pues ahora que hables al rey, que no me negará á ti.

And I, whither shall I cause my shame to go? and as for thee, thou shalt be as one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, I pray thee, speak unto the king; for he will not withhold me from thee.

As for me, where would I carry my shame? And as for you, you will be as one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, please speak to the king; for he will not withhold me from you.”

Quegli però non volle piegarsi alle sue preghiere: ma come più forte le fe' violenza, e la disonorò.

Mas él no la quiso oir; antes pudiendo más que ella la forzó, y echóse con ella.

Howbeit he would not hearken unto her voice: but, being stronger than she, forced her, and lay with her.

E Ammon concepì avversione somma verso di lei, talmente che maggiore fu l'odio che le portava, che l'amore che avea prima avuto per essa: onde le disse: Levati e vattene.

Aborrecióla luego Amnón de tan grande aborrecimiento, que el odio con que la aborreció fué mayor que el amor con que la había amado. Y díjole Amnón: Levántate y vete.

Then Amnon hated her exceedingly; so that the hatred wherewith he hated her was greater than the love wherewith he had loved her. And Amnon said unto her, Arise, be gone.

Then Amnon hated her with exceedingly great hatred; for the hatred with which he hated her was greater than the love with which he had loved her. Amnon said to her, “Arise, be gone!”

Ed ella rispose a lui: Più gran male è questo, che tu fai ora in discacciandomi che quello fatto prima da te. Ed ei non le diede retta.

Y ella le respondió: No es razón; mayor mal es éste de echarme, que el que me has hecho. Mas él no la quiso oir:

And she said unto him, There is no cause: this evil in sending me away is greater than the other that thou didst unto me. But he would not hearken unto her.

She said to him, “Not so, because this great wrong in sending me away is worse than the other that you did to me!” But he would not listen to her.

Ma chiamato un servo che lo assisteva, gli disse: Caccia via costei lungi da me e chiudile la porta dietro.

Antes llamando su criado que le servía dijo: Echame ésta allá fuera, y tras ella cierra la puerta.

Then he called his servant that ministered unto him, and said, Put now this woman out from me, and bolt the door after her.

Ella era vestita di una tonaca collo strascico: perocché tale era la veste delle vergini figliuole del re. Il servo adunque la spinse fuora, e le chiuse la porta dietro.

Y tenía ella sobre sí una ropa de colores, traje que las hijas vírgenes de los reyes vestían. Echóla pues fuera su criado, y cerró la puerta tras ella.

And she had a garment of divers colours upon her: for with such robes were the king’s daughters that were virgins apparelled. Then his servant brought her out, and bolted the door after her.

Ma ella sparsa di cenere la sua testa, e stracciata la veste talare, e incrociate le mani sul capo se ne andava gridando.

Entonces Thamar tomó ceniza, y esparcióla sobre su cabeza, y rasgó la ropa de colores de que estaba vestida, y puestas sus manos sobre su cabeza, fuése gritando.

And Tamar put ashes on her head, and rent her garment of divers colours that was on her, and laid her hand on her head, and went on crying.

Ma Assalonne suo fratello le disse: Forse Ammon tuo fratello ti ha fatto violenza? ma per adesso, sorella mia, sta cheta, egli è tuo fratello: non ti affliggere per questo. Rimase adunque Thamar a struggersi in casa di Assalonne suo fratello.

Y díjole su hermano Absalom: ¿Ha estado contigo tu hermano Amnón? Pues calla ahora, hermana mía: tu hermano es; no pongas tu corazón en este negocio. Y quedóse Thamar desconsolada en casa de Absalom su hermano.

And Absalom her brother said unto her, Hath Amnon thy brother been with thee? but hold now thy peace, my sister: he is thy brother; regard not this thing. So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalom’s house.

Absalom her brother said to her, “Has Amnon your brother been with you? But now hold your peace, my sister. He is your brother. Don’t take this thing to heart.” So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalom’s house.

Ed essendo state riferite al re David queste cose, se ne afflisse grandemente: ma non volle disgustare Ammon suo figliuolo, perchè lo amava come suo primogenito.

Y luego que el rey David oyó todo esto, fué muy enojado.

But when king David heard of all these things, he was very wroth.

Or Assalonne non uscì a veruna parola con Ammon, benché Assalonne odiasse Ammon per la violenza fatta alla sua sorella Thamar.

Mas Absalom no habló con Amnón ni malo ni bueno; bien que Absalom aborrecía á Amnón, porque había forzado á Thamar su hermana.

And Absalom spake unto his brother Amnon neither good nor bad: for Absalom hated Amnon, because he had forced his sister Tamar.

Ma di lì a due anni avvenne che Assalonne fece tosare le sue pecore a Baal-hasor, che è vicino ad Ephraim: e Assalonne invitò tutti i figliuoli del re.

Y aconteció pasados dos años, que Absalom tenía esquiladores en Bala-hasor, que está junto á Ephraim; y convidó Absalom á todos los hijos del rey.

And it came to pass after two full years, that Absalom had sheepshearers in Baal-hazor, which is beside Ephraim: and Absalom invited all the king’s sons.

E andò a trovar il re, e gli disse: Sappi che si tosano le pecore del tuo servo; venga, ti prego, il re co' suoi servi a casa del suo servo.

Y vino Absalom al rey, y díjole: He aquí, tu siervo tiene ahora esquiladores: yo ruego que venga el rey y sus siervos con tu siervo.

And Absalom came to the king, and said, Behold now, thy servant hath sheepshearers; let the king, I beseech thee, and his servants go with thy servant.

Absalom came to the king and said, “See now, your servant has sheep shearers. Please let the king and his servants go with your servant.”

E il re disse ad Assalonne: No, figliuol mio, non domandare che venghiamo tutti a recarti incomodo. E quegli pressandolo, e (il re) non volendo andare, gli diede la benedizione.

Y respondió el rey á Absalom: No, hijo mío, no vamos todos, porque no te hagamos costa. Y aunque porfió con él, no quiso ir, mas bendíjolo.

And the king said to Absalom, Nay, my son, let us not all now go, lest we be chargeable unto thee. And he pressed him: howbeit he would not go, but blessed him.

The king said to Absalom, “No, my son, let’s not all go, lest we be burdensome to you.” He pressed him; however he would not go, but blessed him.

E Assalonne disse: Se non vuoi venir tu: venga con noi di grazia almeno il mio fratello Amnon. E il re dissegli: Non è necessario, che ei venga teco.

Entonces dijo Absalom: Si no, ruégote que venga con nosotros Amnón mi hermano. Y el rey le respondió: ¿Para qué ha de ir contigo?

Then said Absalom, If not, I pray thee, let my brother Amnon go with us. And the king said unto him, Why should he go with thee?

Then Absalom said, “If not, please let my brother Amnon go with us.” The king said to him, “Why should he go with you?”

Ma Assalonne tanto importunò che il re lasciò andare con lui Amnon e tutti i suoi figliuoli. E Assalonne fece un convito come da re.

But Absalom pressed him, that he let Amnon and all the king’s sons go with him.

Or egli avea ordinato, e detto a' servi suoi: Badate, quando Amnon sarà riscaldato dal vino, e io vi darò il segno, andategli alla vita, e uccidetelo: non abbiate paura, perocché sono io che vel comando: fatevi cuore, e operate da forti.

Y había Absalom dado orden á sus criados, diciendo: Ahora bien, mirad cuándo el corazón de Amnón estará alegre del vino, y en diciéndoos yo, Herid á Amnón, entonces matadle, y no temáis; que yo os lo he mandado. Esforzaos pues, y sed valientes.

Now Absalom had commanded his servants, saying, Mark ye now when Amnon’s heart is merry with wine, and when I say unto you, Smite Amnon; then kill him, fear not: have not I commanded you? be courageous, and be valiant.

Absalom commanded his servants, saying, “Mark now, when Amnon’s heart is merry with wine; and when I tell you, ‘Strike Amnon,’ then kill him. Don’t be afraid. Haven’t I commanded you? Be courageous, and be valiant!”

E i servi di Assalonne fecero ad Amnon come avea lor comandato Assalonne. Alzatisi tutti i figliuoli del re salirono sulle loro mule, e si fuggirono.

Y los criados de Absalom hicieron con Amnón como Absalom lo había mandado. Levantáronse luego todos los hijos del rey, y subieron todos en sus mulos, y huyeron.

And the servants of Absalom did unto Amnon as Absalom had commanded. Then all the king’s sons arose, and every man gat him up upon his mule, and fled.

E mentre eran tuttavia per istrada, andò alle orecchie di David la fama, che Assalonne avea uccisi tutti i figliuoli del re, e non ne era restato un solo.

Y estando aún ellos en el camino, llegó á David el rumor que decía: Absalom ha muerto á todos los hijos del rey, que ninguno de ellos ha quedado.

And it came to pass, while they were in the way, that tidings came to David, saying, Absalom hath slain all the king’s sons, and there is not one of them left.

While they were on the way, the news came to David, saying, “Absalom has slain all the king’s sons, and there is not one of them left!”

Si alzò subito il re, e stracciò le sue vestimenta, e gettossi per terra: e tutti i suoi che erano attorno a lui, stracciarono le loro vesti.

Entonces levantándose David, rasgó sus vestidos, y echóse en tierra, y todos sus criados, rasgados sus vestidos, estaban delante.

Then the king arose, and tare his garments, and lay on the earth; and all his servants stood by with their clothes rent.

Ma Gionadab figliuolo di Semmaa fratello di Davidde prese la parola, e disse: Non si metta in cuore il re mio signore, che sieno stati uccisi tutti i figliuoli del re: il solo Amnon è morto, ed Assalonne gliela serbava fin da quel giorno, in cui quegli fece violenza a sua sorella Thamar.

Y Jonadab, hijo de Simea hermano de David, habló y dijo: No diga mi señor que han muerto á todos los jóvenes hijos del rey, que sólo Amnón es muerto: porque en boca de Absalom estaba puesto desde el día que Amnón forzó á Thamar su hermana.

And Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David’s brother, answered and said, Let not my lord suppose that they have slain all the young men the king’s sons; for Amnon only is dead: for by the appointment of Absalom this hath been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar.

Jonadab the son of Shimeah, David’s brother, answered, “Don’t let my lord suppose that they have killed all the young men, the king’s sons, for Amnon only is dead; for by the appointment of Absalom this has been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar.

Or non si metta in cuore il re mio signore tal cosa, e non dica: Sono stati uccisi tutti i figliuoli del re: perocché il solo Amnon è morto.

Por tanto, ahora no ponga mi señor el rey en su corazón esa voz que dice: Todos los hijos del rey son muertos: porque sólo Amnón es muerto.

Now therefore let not my lord the king take the thing to his heart, to think that all the king’s sons are dead: for Amnon only is dead.

Ma Assalonne prese la fuga. Or un servo, che stava alle vedette alzati li suoi occhi, mirò, e osservò come gran turba di gente se ne veniva per istrada disastrosa da un lato del monte.

Absalom huyó luego. Entre tanto, alzando sus ojos el mozo que estaba en atalaya, miró, y he aquí mucho pueblo que venía á sus espaldas por el camino de hacia el monte.

But Absalom fled. And the young man that kept the watch lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came much people by the way of the hill side behind him.

E Gionadab disse al re: Ecco i figliuoli del re che sono qua: è avvenuto come ti diceva il tuo servo.

Y dijo Jonadab al rey: He allí los hijos del rey que vienen: es así como tu siervo ha dicho.

And Jonadab said unto the king, Behold, the king’s sons come: as thy servant said, so it is.

Jonadab said to the king, “Behold, the king’s sons are coming! It is as your servant said.”

E finito che egli ebbe di parlare, comparvero i figliuoli del re, e in entrando dettero uno strido, e piansero, e anche il re, e tutti i suoi servi piansero a caldi occhi.

Y como él acabó de hablar, he aquí los hijos del rey que vinieron, y alzando su voz lloraron. Y también el mismo rey y todos sus siervos lloraron con muy grandes lamentos.

And it came to pass, as soon as he had made an end of speaking, that, behold, the king’s sons came, and lifted up their voice and wept: and the king also and all his servants wept very sore.

Ma Assalonne se ne andò fuggendo a casa di Tholomai figliuolo di Ammiud, re di Gessur. E David pianse il figliuolo Amnon continuamente.

Mas Absalom huyó, y fuése á Talmai hijo de Amiud, rey de Gessur. Y David lloraba por su hijo todos los días.

But Absalom fled, and went to Talmai, the son of Ammihud, king of Geshur. And David mourned for his son every day.

E Assalonne rifuggendosi in Gessur, vi stette tre anni.

Y después que Absalom huyó y se fué á Gessur, estuvo allá tres años.

E il re David non cercò più di aver nelle mani Assalonne, perché si consolò della morte di Amnon. Gioabbo, mediante l'industria di una donna di Thecua, proccura di far richiamare Assalonne da Gessur a Gerusalemme. Bellezza di Assalonne: suoi figliuoli. Egli dopo il suo ritorno non vede il volto del padre per due anni, fino a tanto che fece dar il fuoco alla messe di Gioabbo.

Y el rey David deseó ver á Absalom: porque ya estaba consolado acerca de Amnón que era muerto.

And the soul of king David longed to go forth unto Absalom: for he was comforted concerning Amnon, seeing he was dead.

King David longed to go out to Absalom, for he was comforted concerning Amnon, since he was dead.
