Mas el pobre no tenía más que una sola cordera, que él había comprado y criado, y que había crecido con él y con sus hijos juntamente, comiendo de su bocado, y bebiendo de su vaso, y durmiendo en su seno: y teníala como á una hija.

And there came a traveller unto the rich man, and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd, to dress for the wayfaring man that was come unto him; but took the poor man’s lamb, and dressed it for the man that was come to him.

Sdegnato altamente David contro un tal uomo, disse a Nathan: Viva il Signore: colui che ha fatto questo, è reo di morte.
Entonces se encendió el furor de David en gran manera contra aquel hombre, y dijo á Nathán: Vive Jehová, que el que tal hizo es digno de muerte.
And David’s anger was greatly kindled against the man; and he said to Nathan, As the LORD liveth, the man that hath done this thing shall surely die:
David’s anger burned hot against the man, and he said to Nathan, “As the LORD lives, the man who has done this deserves to die!
Pagherà quattro volte il valor della pecora per aver fatto tal cosa, e non aver avuta pietà.
Y que él debe pagar la cordera con cuatro tantos, porque hizo esta tal cosa, y no tuvo misericordia.

Ma Nathan disse a David: Tu se' quell'uomo: Ecco quello che dice il Signore re Dio d'Israele: Io ti unsi re d'Israele, e io ti salvai dalle mani di Saul.
Entonces dijo Nathán á David: Tú eres aquel hombre. Así ha dicho Jehová, Dios de Israel: Yo te ungí por rey sobre Israel, y te libré de la mano de Saúl;
And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul;
Nathan said to David, “You are the man! This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you out of the hand of Saul.
E ti feci padrone della casa del tuo Signore, e della casa d'Israele, e di Giuda: e se questo è poco, io ti aggiungerò cose molte maggiori.
Yo te dí la casa de tu señor, y las mujeres de tu señor en tu seno: demás de esto te dí la casa de Israel y de Judá; y si esto es poco, yo te añadiré tales y tales cosas.
And I gave thee thy master’s house, and thy master’s wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too little, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things.

Per qual motivo adunque hai tu disprezzata la parola del Signore, facendo il male nel mio cospetto? tu hai ucciso di spada Uria di Heth, e hai presa per tua moglie la moglie di lui, e lui hai ucciso colla spada dei figliuoli di Ammon.
¿Por qué pues tuviste en poco la palabra de Jehová, haciendo lo malo delante de sus ojos? A Uría Hetheo heriste á cuchillo, y tomaste por tu mujer á su mujer, y á él mataste con el cuchillo de los hijos de Ammón.
Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.
Why have you despised the LORD’s word, to do that which is evil in his sight? You have struck Uriah the Hittite with the sword, have taken his wife to be your wife, and have slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.
Per la qual cosa la spada penderà sempre sulla tua casa perchè tu mi hai disprezzato, e hai presa la moglie di Uria di Heth per farla tua moglie.
Por lo cual ahora no se apartará jamás de tu casa la espada; por cuanto me menospreciaste, y tomaste la mujer de Uría Hetheo para que fuese tu mujer.
Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife.

Quindi tali cose dice il Signore: Ecco che io farò nascere le tue sciagure dalla tua stessa casa, e sotto gli occhi tuoi prenderò le tue mogli, e darolle ad un altro, il qual dormirà colle stesse tue mogli in faccia a questo sole:
Así ha dicho Jehová: He aquí yo levantaré sobre ti el mal de tu misma casa, y tomaré tus mujeres delante de tus ojos, y las daré á tu prójimo, el cual yacerá con tus mujeres á la vista de este sol.
Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.
“This is what the LORD says: ‘Behold, I will raise up evil against you out of your own house; and I will take your wives before your eyes and give them to your neighbor, and he will lie with your wives in the sight of this sun.
Perocché tu hai fatto in segreto, e io farò queste cose a vista di tutto Israele, e a vista di questo sole.

E David disse a Nathan: Ho peccato contro il Signore. E Nathan disse a David: Il Signore ancora ha tolto il tuo peccato: tu non morrai.
Entonces dijo David á Nathán: Pequé contra Jehová. Y Nathán dijo á David: También Jehová ha remitido tu pecado: no morirás.
And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die.
David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the LORD.” Nathan said to David, “The LORD also has put away your sin. You will not die.
Ma perchè tu hai fatto che i nemici del Signore bestemmiassero per tal causa, il figliuolo che ti è nato, certamente morrà.
Mas por cuanto con este negocio hiciste blasfemar á los enemigos de Jehová, el hijo que te ha nacido morirá ciertamente.
Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die.
However, because by this deed you have given great occasion to the LORD’s enemies to blaspheme, the child also who is born to you will surely die.”
E Nathan se ne tornò a casa sua. E il Signore percosse il bambino partorito a David dalla moglie di Uria, e non vi restò speranza.
Y Nathán se volvió á su casa. Y Jehová hirió al niño que la mujer de Uría había parido á David, y enfermó gravemente.
And Nathan departed unto his house. And the LORD struck the child that Uriah’s wife bare unto David, and it was very sick.

E David fece orazione al Signore pel bambino, e digiunò rigorosamente, e stava segregato, giacendo sopra la terra.

Or venne che al settimo giorno il bambino si morì: e i servi di David non ardivano di dargli la nuova della morte del bambino: perocché dicevano: Quando il bambino era tuttora in vita, noi gli parlavamo, ed egli non ascoltava le nostre parole: quanto più si affliggerà ove noi gli diciamo: Il bambino è morto?
Y al séptimo día murió el niño; pero sus siervos no osaban hacerle saber que el niño era muerto, diciendo entre sí: Cuando el niño aun vivía, le hablábamos, y no quería oir nuestra voz: ¿pues cuánto más mal le hará, si le dijéremos que el niño es muerto?
And it came to pass on the seventh day, that the child died. And the servants of David feared to tell him that the child was dead: for they said, Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spake unto him, and he would not hearken unto our voice: how will he then vex himself, if we tell him that the child is dead?
On the seventh day, the child died. David’s servants were afraid to tell him that the child was dead, for they said, “Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spoke to him and he didn’t listen to our voice. How will he then harm himself if we tell him that the child is dead?”
Ma veggendo David, come i suoi servi cicalavano sotto voce: comprese, che il bambino era morto; e disse a' suoi servi: È egli forse morto il bambino? Risposero: È morto.
Mas David viendo á sus siervos hablar entre sí, entendió que el niño era muerto; por lo que dijo David á sus siervos: ¿Es muerto el niño? Y ellos respondieron: Muerto es.
But when David saw that his servants whispered, David perceived that the child was dead: therefore David said unto his servants, Is the child dead? And they said, He is dead.

Allora David si alzò da terra e si lavò, e si unse: e cangiate le vesti entrò nella casa del Signore, e lo adorò, e tornato a sua casa chiese, che gli portasser da mangiare e mangiò.
Entonces David se levantó de tierra, y lavóse y ungióse, y mudó sus ropas, y entró á la casa de Jehová, y adoró. Y después vino á su casa, y demandó, y pusiéronle pan, y comió.
Then David arose from the earth, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his apparel, and came into the house of the LORD, and worshipped: then he came to his own house; and when he required, they set bread before him, and he did eat.

E i suoi servi gli dissero: Che vuol dir questo? quando il bambino era ancor vivo, tu hai digiunato, e pianto: morto che è stato, ti sei alzato, e hai mangiato.
Y dijéronle sus siervos: ¿Qué es esto que has hecho? Por el niño, viviendo aún, ayunabas y llorabas; y él muerto, levantástete y comiste pan.
Then said his servants unto him, What thing is this that thou hast done? thou didst fast and weep for the child, while it was alive; but when the child was dead, thou didst rise and eat bread.
Then his servants said to him, “What is this that you have done? You fasted and wept for the child while he was alive, but when the child was dead, you rose up and ate bread.”
Ed egli disse: Ho digiunato, e ho pianto a causa del bambino, mentr'ei vivea tuttora, perchè io diceva: Chi sa, che forse il Signore non me lo renda, e resti in vita il figliuolo?
Y él respondió: Viviendo aún el niño, yo ayunaba y lloraba, diciendo: ¿Quién sabe si Dios tendrá compasión de mí, por manera que viva el niño?
And he said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept: for I said, Who can tell whether GOD will be gracious to me, that the child may live?
He said, “While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept; for I said, ‘Who knows whether the LORD will not be gracious to me, that the child may live?’
Ma ora ch'egli è morto, perchè ho io da digiunare? Potrò io ancor ritornarlo alla vita? piuttosto andrò io a trovarlo: ma egli non tornerà a me.
Mas ahora que ya es muerto, ¿para qué tengo de ayunar? ¿podré yo hacerle volver? Yo voy á él, mas él no volverá á mí.
But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.

E David racconsolò Bethsabea sua moglie, e andò a dormir con essa: ed ella ebbe un figliuolo, e gli diede il nome di Salomone, e il Signore lo amò.
Y consoló David á Bath-sheba su mujer, y entrando á ella, durmió con ella; y parió un hijo, y llamó su nombre Salomón, al cual amó Jehová:
And David comforted Bath-sheba his wife, and went in unto her, and lay with her: and she bare a son, and he called his name Solomon: and the LORD loved him.

E mandò il profeta Nathan, e gli fece porre il nome di Amabile al Signore, perchè il Signore lo amava.
