12Der König aber erhob sich in der Nacht und sprach zu seinen Dienern: Ich will euch sagen, was die Syrer gegen uns vorhaben. Sie wissen, dass wir Hunger leiden; da sind sie denn aus dem Lager weggegangen, um sich auf dem Felde zu verbergen, und denken: "Wenn sie aus der Stadt herauskommen, können wir sie lebendig greifen und in die Stadt eindringen."

12And the king arose in the night, and said unto his servants, I will now shew you what the Syrians have done to us. They know that we be hungry; therefore are they gone out of the camp to hide themselves in the field, saying, When they come out of the city, we shall catch them alive, and get into the city.
