1Und es geschah im neunten Jahre seines Königtums, im zehnten Monat am zehnten des Monats, kam Nebuchadnezzar, der König von Babel, er und all seine Streitmacht wider Jerusalem, und lagerte sich wider sie und bauten ein Bollwerk auf wider sie ringsumher.
2Und die Stadt kam in Belagerung bis ins elfte Jahr des Königs Zidkijahu.
3Am neunten des Monats war die Hungersnot in der Stadt stark geworden, und es war kein Brot für das Volk des Landes:
4Und die Stadt ward erbrochen und alle Männer des Streites bei Nacht des Weges durch das Tor zwischen den zwei Stadtmauern am Garten des Königs, und die Chaldäer waren wider die Stadt ringsumher. Er aber ging des Weges nach dem Blachfelde.
5Aber die Streitmacht der Chaldäer setzte hinter dem König nach und holten ihn ein auf dem Blachfeld von Jericho, und seine ganze Streitmacht zerstreute sich von ihm.
6Und sie erfaßten den König und brachten ihn hinauf zum König von Babel nach Riblath, und sie redeten mit ihm im Gericht.
7Und die Söhne Zidkijahus schlachteten sie vor seinen Augen, und dem Zidkijahu blendete er die Augen und band ihn in zwei Erzfesseln und brachte ihn hinein nach Babel.
8Und im fünften Monat, am siebenten des Monats, das ist das neunzehnte Jahr der Jahre Nebuchadnezzars, König von Babel, kam Nebusaradan, der Oberste der Leibwachen, ein Knecht des Königs von Babel, nach Jerusalem;
9Und er verbrannte das Haus Jehovahs und das Haus des Königs und alle Häuser Jerusalems, und jegliches große Haus verbrannte er mit Feuer.
10Und die Stadtmauern Jerusalems ringsumher riß die ganze Streitmacht der Chaldäer mit dem Obersten der Leibwachen ein.
11Und das übrige Volk, das in der Stadt verblieben war, und die Abgefallenen, die zum König von Babel abfielen, und die übrige Menge führte Nebusaradan, der Oberste der Leibwache weg.
12Und von den Armen des Landes ließ der Oberste der Leibwachen verbleiben zu Weingärtnern und Ackerleuten.
13Die ehernen Säulen aber am Hause Jehovahs und die Gestelle und das eherne Meer im Hause Jehovahs zerbrachen die Chaldäer und brachten das Erz davon nach Babel.
14Und die Töpfe und die Schaufeln und die Messer und die Pfannen und alle ehernen Gefäße, womit man Dienst tat, nahmen sie.
15Und auch die Räuchpfannen und die Sprengbecken, was von Gold war, das Gold, und was von Silber war, das Silber, nahm der Oberste der Leibwachen.
16Die zwei Säulen, das eine Meer und die Gestelle, die Salomoh für das Haus Jehovahs gemacht - das Erz aller dieser Geräte war nicht zu wägen.
17Achtzehn Ellen hoch war die eine Säule, und ein Knauf darauf von Erz, und der Knauf drei Ellen hoch, und ein Flechtwerk und Granatäpfel rings an dem Knauf, alles von Erz, und ebenso an der zweiten Säule am Flechtwerk.
18Und der Oberste der Leibwachen nahm Serajah, den Hauptpriester, und Zephanjahu, den zweiten Priester, und drei Hüter der Schwelle.
19Und aus der Stadt nahm er einen Hofbeamten, der über die Kriegsleute bestellt war, und fünf Männer, die das Angesicht des Königs sahen, die in der Stadt gefunden wurden, und den Schreiber des Obersten des Heeres, der das Volk des Landes zum Heere aushob, und sechzig Mann vom Volke des Landes, die in der Stadt gefunden wurden.
20Und Nebusaradan, der Oberste der Leibwachen, nahm sie und brachte sie zum König von Babel nach Riblath.
21Und der König von Babel schlug sie und tötete sie in Riblath im Lande Chamath, und Judah ward von seinem Boden weggeführt.
22Und anlangend das Volk, das im Lande Judah verblieben war, das Nebuchadnezzar, der König von Babel, zurückließ; über sie bestellte er Gedaljahu, den Sohn Achikams, des Sohnes Schaphans.
23Und es hörten alle Obersten der Streitmächte, sie und ihre Mannen, daß der König von Babel Gedaljahu bestellt hätte, und kamen zu Gedaljahu nach Mizpah. Und Jischmael, der Sohn Nethanjahs, und Jochanan, Kareachs Sohn, und Seraja, der Sohn Tanchumeths, des Netophiters, und Jaasanjahu, der Sohn des Maachathi, sie und ihre Mannen.
24Und Gedaljahu schwur ihnen und ihren Mannen und sprach zu ihnen: Fürchtet euch nicht vor den Knechten der Chaldäer. Wohnet im Land und dienet dem König von Babel, so wird es euch wohl gehen.
25Und es geschah im siebenten Monat, daß Ischmael, Nethanjahs Sohn, des Sohnes Elischamas, von königlichem Samen, kam, und zehn Männer mit ihm, und sie schlugen Gedal- jahu, daß er starb, und die Juden und die Chaldäer, die mit ihm waren in Mizpah.
26Und es machte sich alles Volk, vom Kleinen bis zum Großen, und auch die Obersten der Streitmächte auf, und gingen nach Ägypten; denn sie fürchteten sich vor den Chaldäern.
27Und es geschah im siebenunddreißigsten Jahre der Wegführung Jehojachins, des Königs von Judah, im zwölften Monat am siebenundzwanzigsten des Monats, erhob Evil Merodach, König von Babel, im Jahre, da er König ward, das Haupt Jeojachins des Königs von Judah aus dem Hause des Kerkers,
28Und redete Gutes mit ihm und setzte seinen Thron über den Thron der Könige, die bei ihm in Babel waren.
29Und veränderte die Kleider seines Kerkers und er aß das Brot beständig vor ihm alle Tage seines Lebens.
30Auch wurde ihm sein Unterhalt, ein beständiger Unterhalt vom Könige gegeben, der Betrag eines Tages an seinem Tag, alle Tage seines Lebens.

1Y ACONTECIÓ á los nueve años de su reinado, en el mes décimo, á los diez del mes, que Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia vino con todo su ejército contra Jerusalem, y cercóla; y levantaron contra ella ingenios alrededor.
2Y estuvo la ciudad cercada hasta el undécimo año del rey Sedecías.
3A los nueve del mes prevaleció el hambre en la ciudad, que no hubo pan para el pueblo de la tierra.
4Abierta ya la ciudad, huyeron de noche todos los hombres de guerra por el camino de la puerta que estaba entre los dos muros, junto á los huertos del rey, estando los Caldeos alrededor de la ciudad; y el rey se fué camino de la campiña.
5Y el ejército de los Caldeos siguió al rey, y tomólo en las llanuras de Jericó, habiéndose esparcido de él todo su ejército.
6Tomado pues el rey, trajéronle al rey de Babilonia á Ribla, y profirieron contra él sentencia.
7Y degollaron á los hijos de Sedecías en presencia suya; y á Sedecías sacaron los ojos, y atado con cadenas lleváronlo á Babilonia.
8En el mes quinto, á los siete del mes, siendo el año diecinueve de Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia, vino á Jerusalem Nabuzaradán, capitán de los de la guardia, siervo del rey de Babilonia.
9Y quemó la casa de Jehová, y la casa del rey, y todas las casas de Jerusalem; y todas las casas de los príncipes quemó á fuego.
10Y todo el ejército de los Caldeos que estaba con el capitán de la guardia, derribó los muros de Jerusalem alrededor.
11Y á los del pueblo que habían quedado en la ciudad, y á los que se habían juntado al rey de Babilonia, y á los que habían quedado del vulgo, trasportólos Nabuzaradán, capitán de los de la guardia.
12Mas de los pobres de la tierra dejó Nabuzaradán, capitán de los de la guardia, para que labrasen las viñas y las tierras.
13Y quebraron los Caldeos las columnas de bronce que estaban en la casa de Jehová, y las basas, y el mar de bronce que estaba en la casa de Jehová, y llevaron el metal de ello á Babilonia.
14Lleváronse también los calderos, y las paletas, y las tenazas, y los cucharones, y todos los vasos de metal con que ministraban.
15Incensarios, cuencos, los que de oro, en oro, y los que de plata, en plata, todo lo llevó el capitán de los de la guardia;
16Las dos columnas, un mar, y las basas que Salomón había hecho para la casa de Jehová: no había peso de todos estos vasos.
17La altura de la una columna era diez y ocho codos y tenía encima un capitel de bronce, y la altura del capitel era de tres codos; y sobre el capitel había un enredado y granadas alrededor, todo de bronce: y semejante obra había en la otra columna con el enredado.
18Tomó entonces el capitán de los de la guardia á Saraías primer sacerdote, y á Sophonías segundo sacerdote, y tres guardas de la vajilla;
19Y de la ciudad tomó un eunuco, el cual era maestre de campo, y cinco varones de los continuos del rey, que se hallaron en la ciudad; y al principal escriba del ejército, que hacía la reseña de la gente del país; y sesenta varones del pueblo de la tierra, que se hallaron en la ciudad.
20Estos tomó Nabuzaradán, capitán de los de la guardia, y llevólos á Ribla al rey de Babilonia.
21Y el rey de Babilonia los hirió y mató en Ribla, en tierra de Hamath. Así fué trasportado Judá de sobre su tierra.
22Y al pueblo que Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia dejó en tierra de Judá, puso por gobernador á Gedalías, hijo de Ahicam hijo de Saphán.
23Y oyendo todos los príncipes del ejército, ellos y su gente, que el rey de Babilonia había puesto por gobernador á Gedalías, viniéronse á él en Mizpa, es á saber, Ismael hijo de Nathanías, y Johanán hijo de Carea, y Saraía hijo de Tanhumet Netofatita, y Jaazanías hijo de Maachâti, ellos con los suyos.
24Entonces Gedalías les hizo juramento, á ellos y á los suyos, y díjoles: No temáis de ser siervos de los Caldeos; habitad en la tierra, y servid al rey de Babilonia, y os irá bien.
25Mas en el mes séptimo vino Ismael hijo de Nathanías, hijo de Elisama, de la estirpe real, y con él diez varones, é hirieron á Gedalías, y murió: y también á los Judíos y Caldeos que estaban con él en Mizpa.
26Y levantándose todo el pueblo, desde el menor hasta el mayor, con los capitanes del ejército, fuéronse á Egipto por temor de los Caldeos.
27Y aconteció á los treinta y siete años de la trasportación de Joachîn rey de Judá, en el mes duodécimo, á los veinte y siete del mes, que Evil-merodach rey de Babilonia, en el primer año de su reinado, levantó la cabeza de Joachîn rey de Judá, sacándolo de la casa de la cárcel;
28Y hablóle bien, y puso su asiento sobre el asiento de los reyes que con él estaban en Babilonia.
29Y mudóle los vestidos de su prisión, y comió siempre delante de él todos los días de su vida.
30Y fuéle diariamente dada su comida de parte del rey de continuo, todos los días de su vida.

1And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came, he, and all his host, against Jerusalem, and pitched against it; and they built forts against it round about.
2And the city was besieged unto the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.
3And on the ninth day of the fourth month the famine prevailed in the city, and there was no bread for the people of the land.
4And the city was broken up, and all the men of war fled by night by the way of the gate between two walls, which is by the king’s garden: (now the Chaldees were against the city round about:) and the king went the way toward the plain.
5And the army of the Chaldees pursued after the king, and overtook him in the plains of Jericho: and all his army were scattered from him.
6So they took the king, and brought him up to the king of Babylon to Riblah; and they gave judgment upon him.
7And they slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and put out the eyes of Zedekiah, and bound him with fetters of brass, and carried him to Babylon.
8And in the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month, which is the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, came Nebuzar-adan, captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, unto Jerusalem:
9And he burnt the house of the LORD, and the king’s house, and all the houses of Jerusalem, and every great man’s house burnt he with fire.
10And all the army of the Chaldees, that were with the captain of the guard, brake down the walls of Jerusalem round about.
11Now the rest of the people that were left in the city, and the fugitives that fell away to the king of Babylon, with the remnant of the multitude, did Nebuzar-adan the captain of the guard carry away.
12But the captain of the guard left of the poor of the land to be vinedressers and husbandmen.
13And the pillars of brass that were in the house of the LORD, and the bases, and the brasen sea that was in the house of the LORD, did the Chaldees break in pieces, and carried the brass of them to Babylon.
14And the pots, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass wherewith they ministered, took they away.
15And the firepans, and the bowls, and such things as were of gold, in gold, and of silver, in silver, the captain of the guard took away.
16The two pillars, one sea, and the bases which Solomon had made for the house of the LORD; the brass of all these vessels was without weight.
17The height of the one pillar was eighteen cubits, and the chapiter upon it was brass: and the height of the chapiter three cubits; and the wreathen work, and pomegranates upon the chapiter round about, all of brass: and like unto these had the second pillar with wreathen work.
18And the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the door:
19And out of the city he took an officer that was set over the men of war, and five men of them that were in the king’s presence, which were found in the city, and the principal scribe of the host, which mustered the people of the land, and threescore men of the people of the land that were found in the city:
20And Nebuzar-adan captain of the guard took these, and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah:
21And the king of Babylon smote them, and slew them at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was carried away out of their land.
22And as for the people that remained in the land of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had left, even over them he made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, ruler.
23And when all the captains of the armies, they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah governor, there came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, even Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan the son of Careah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth the Netophathite, and Jaazaniah the son of a Maachathite, they and their men.
24And Gedaliah sware to them, and to their men, and said unto them, Fear not to be the servants of the Chaldees: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon; and it shall be well with you.
25But it came to pass in the seventh month, that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the seed royal, came, and ten men with him, and smote Gedaliah, that he died, and the Jews and the Chaldees that were with him at Mizpah.
26And all the people, both small and great, and the captains of the armies, arose, and came to Egypt: for they were afraid of the Chaldees.
27And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, that Evil-merodach king of Babylon in the year that he began to reign did lift up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah out of prison;
28And he spake kindly to him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that were with him in Babylon;
29And changed his prison garments: and he did eat bread continually before him all the days of his life.
30And his allowance was a continual allowance given him of the king, a daily rate for every day, all the days of his life.

1In the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and encamped against it; and they built forts against it around it.
2So the city was besieged until the eleventh year of King Zedekiah.
3On the ninth day of the fourth month, the famine was severe in the city, so that there was no bread for the people of the land.
4Then a breach was made in the city, and all the men of war fled by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, which was by the king’s garden (now the Chaldeans were against the city around it); and the king went by the way of the Arabah.
5But the Chaldean army pursued the king, and overtook him in the plains of Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him.
6Then they captured the king and carried him up to the king of Babylon to Riblah; and they passed judgment on him.
7They killed Zedekiah’s sons before his eyes, then put out Zedekiah’s eyes, bound him in fetters, and carried him to Babylon.
8Now in the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem.
9He burned the LORD’s house, the king’s house, and all the houses of Jerusalem. He burned every great house with fire.
10All the army of the Chaldeans, who were with the captain of the guard, broke down the walls around Jerusalem.
11Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive the rest of the people who were left in the city and those who had deserted to the king of Babylon—all the rest of the multitude.
12But the captain of the guard left some of the poorest of the land to work the vineyards and fields.
13The Chaldeans broke up the pillars of bronze that were in the LORD’s house and the bases and the bronze sea that were in the LORD’s house, and carried the bronze pieces to Babylon.
14They took away the pots, the shovels, the snuffers, the spoons, and all the vessels of bronze with which they ministered.
15The captain of the guard took away the fire pans, the basins, that which was of gold, for gold, and that which was of silver, for silver.
16The two pillars, the one sea, and the bases, which Solomon had made for the LORD’s house, the bronze of all these vessels was not weighed.
17The height of the one pillar was eighteen cubits, and a capital of bronze was on it. The height of the capital was three cubits, with network and pomegranates on the capital around it, all of bronze; and the second pillar with its network was like these.
18The captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the threshold;
19and out of the city he took an officer who was set over the men of war; and five men of those who saw the king’s face, who were found in the city; and the scribe, the captain of the army, who mustered the people of the land, and sixty men of the people of the land who were found in the city.
20Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard took them, and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah.
21The king of Babylon attacked them and put them to death at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was carried away captive out of his land.
22As for the people who were left in the land of Judah whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had left, even over them he made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, governor.
23Now when all the captains of the forces, they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah governor, they came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, even Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, Johanan the son of Kareah, Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth the Netophathite, and Jaazaniah the son of the Maacathite, they and their men.
24Gedaliah swore to them and to their men, and said to them, “Don’t be afraid because of the servants of the Chaldeans. Dwell in the land and serve the king of Babylon, and it will be well with you.”
25But in the seventh month, Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the royal offspring came, and ten men with him, and struck Gedaliah so that he died, with the Jews and the Chaldeans that were with him at Mizpah.
26All the people, both small and great, and the captains of the forces arose and came to Egypt; for they were afraid of the Chaldeans.
27In the thirty-seventh year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, Evilmerodach king of Babylon, in the year that he began to reign, released Jehoiachin king of Judah out of prison,
28and he spoke kindly to him and set his throne above the throne of the kings who were with him in Babylon,
29and changed his prison garments. Jehoiachin ate bread before him continually all the days of his life;
30and for his allowance, there was a continual allowance given him from the king, every day a portion, all the days of his life.
