1Pero el noveno año del reinado de Sedecías, el mes décimo, a los diez días del mes, vino el mismo Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, con todo su ejército sobre Jerusalén , y le puso sitio, y levantó trincheras alrededor de ella.
2Con lo que la ciudad quedó cerrada y circunvalada hasta el año undécimo del reinado de Sedecías,
3y día nueve del mes cuarto; y fue creciendo el hambre en la ciudad, de modo que faltó el pan o alimento a la gente del pueblo.
4Al cabo quedó abierta una brecha en la ciudad; y toda la gente de guerra huyó de noche por el camino de la puerta, que está entre los dos muros, junto al jardín del rey, mientras los caldeos estrechaban el cerco de la ciudad. Huyó, pues, Sedecías por el camino que va a las llanuras del desierto.
5Mas el ejército de los caldeos fue persiguiéndolo, y lo alcanzó en la llanura de Jericó , y todos los soldados que lo acompañaban fueron dispersados, y lo abandonaron.
6Hecho prisionero el rey, lo condujeron a Reblata al rey de Babilonia; el cual pronunció sentencia contra él.
7E hizo matar a los hijos de Sedecías a la presencia de éste, y después sacarle los ojos, y atado con cadenas lo llevó consigo a Babilonia.
8El mes quinto, a los siete del mes, corriendo el año diez y nueve del rey de Babilonia, Nabuzardán, vasallo de este rey y general de su ejército, entró en Jerusalén .
9Y puso fuego al templo del Señor, y al palacio del rey, y a las casas de Jerusalén , y entregó a las llamas todos los edificios.
10Y todo el ejército de los caldeos que seguía a su general, arrasó por todos lados los muros de Jerusalén .
11Al resto del pueblo que había quedado en la ciudad, y a los desertores que se habían pasado al rey de Babilonia, y a la gente más pobre, los transportó Nabuzardán, general del ejército, a otra parte;
12dejando solamente a gentes pobres del país para cultivar las viñas y los campos.
13Mas los caldeos haciendo trozos las columnas de bronce que había en el templo del Señor, las basas y el mar de bronce colocado en la casa del Señor, trasladaron todo este metal a Babilonia.
14Asimismo se llevaron las ollas de cobre, y las jarras, y los tridentes, y las copas, y los morterillos, y todas las vasijas de cobre que se usaban en el ministerio.
15Se llevó también el general del ejército los incensarios y las ampollas, tanto los vasos de oro como los de plata,
16con las dos columnas, el mar o la concha y las bases que había hecho Salomón para el templo del Señor; el peso del bronce de todos los vasos era inmenso.
17Cada una de las columnas tenía dieciocho codos de altura y un capitel de bronce encima, de tres codos de alto; y en torno del capitel de la columna una como red, con granadas, todo de bronce: el adorno de las demás columnas era el mismo.
18Además, se llevó el general del ejército a Saraías, primer sacerdote, y a Sofonías, segundo sacerdote y a tres porteros.
19Y también a un eunuco de la ciudad, bajo cuya inspección estaba la gente de guerra, y cinco señores del servicio doméstico del rey, hallados en la ciudad; y a Sofer, inspector del ejército, que amaestraba a los soldados bisoños del país, y a sesenta varones del pueblo que se hallaron en la ciudad.
20Todos los cuales condujo consigo Nabuzardán, general del ejército, a Reblata, a presencia del rey de Babilonia;
21el cual en la misma Reblata, territorio de Emat, les hizo quitar la vida. Y la tribu de Judá fue transportada fuera de su tierra.
22Para gobernar la gente que había quedado en el país de Judá por disposición de Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, nombró a Godolías, hijo de Ahicam, hijo de Safán.
23Lo que sabido por todos los oficiales del ejército y la gente que estaba con ellos, esto es, que el rey de Babilonia había dado el gobierno a Godolías, acudieron luego a éste en Masfa, Ismael, hijo de Natanías, y Johanán, hijo de Caree, y Saraías, hijo de Tanehumet, netofatita, y Jezonías, hijo de Maacati, así ellos como sus compañeros.
24Y Godolías les aseguró con juramento a ellos y a sus compañeros, diciendo: No temáis a estar sujetos a los caldeos; quedaos en el país, y obedeced al rey de Babilonia, y lo pasaréis bien.
25Pero al séptimo mes sobrevino Ismael, hijo de Natanías y nieto de Elisama, de la estirpe real, acompañado de diez hombres; los cuales hirieron a Godolías, que murió de las heridas, con los judíos y caldeos que estaban con él en Masfa.
26De resultas de esto, todo el pueblo, pequeños y grandes, y los oficiales del ejército huyeron a Egipto por temor de los caldeos.
27A los treinta y siete años de la salida de Joaquín, rey de Judá, al día veintisiete del mes duodécimo, sucedió que Evilmerodac, rey de Babilonia, el mismo año en que comenzó a reinar, levantó a Joaquín del estado de abatimiento en que yacía, y lo sacó de la cárcel;
28y le habló con amor, y le puso un trono o asiento superior al de los demás reyes subyugados que tenía consigo en Babilonia,
29y le hizo mudar los vestidos que había usado en su prisión, y comía siempre a su mesa todo el tiempo que vivió.
30Le señaló asimismo alimentos de ahí en adelante; los cuales le daba el rey diariamente todos los días de su vida.

1Y ACONTECIÓ á los nueve años de su reinado, en el mes décimo, á los diez del mes, que Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia vino con todo su ejército contra Jerusalem, y cercóla; y levantaron contra ella ingenios alrededor.
2Y estuvo la ciudad cercada hasta el undécimo año del rey Sedecías.
3A los nueve del mes prevaleció el hambre en la ciudad, que no hubo pan para el pueblo de la tierra.
4Abierta ya la ciudad, huyeron de noche todos los hombres de guerra por el camino de la puerta que estaba entre los dos muros, junto á los huertos del rey, estando los Caldeos alrededor de la ciudad; y el rey se fué camino de la campiña.
5Y el ejército de los Caldeos siguió al rey, y tomólo en las llanuras de Jericó, habiéndose esparcido de él todo su ejército.
6Tomado pues el rey, trajéronle al rey de Babilonia á Ribla, y profirieron contra él sentencia.
7Y degollaron á los hijos de Sedecías en presencia suya; y á Sedecías sacaron los ojos, y atado con cadenas lleváronlo á Babilonia.
8En el mes quinto, á los siete del mes, siendo el año diecinueve de Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia, vino á Jerusalem Nabuzaradán, capitán de los de la guardia, siervo del rey de Babilonia.
9Y quemó la casa de Jehová, y la casa del rey, y todas las casas de Jerusalem; y todas las casas de los príncipes quemó á fuego.
10Y todo el ejército de los Caldeos que estaba con el capitán de la guardia, derribó los muros de Jerusalem alrededor.
11Y á los del pueblo que habían quedado en la ciudad, y á los que se habían juntado al rey de Babilonia, y á los que habían quedado del vulgo, trasportólos Nabuzaradán, capitán de los de la guardia.
12Mas de los pobres de la tierra dejó Nabuzaradán, capitán de los de la guardia, para que labrasen las viñas y las tierras.
13Y quebraron los Caldeos las columnas de bronce que estaban en la casa de Jehová, y las basas, y el mar de bronce que estaba en la casa de Jehová, y llevaron el metal de ello á Babilonia.
14Lleváronse también los calderos, y las paletas, y las tenazas, y los cucharones, y todos los vasos de metal con que ministraban.
15Incensarios, cuencos, los que de oro, en oro, y los que de plata, en plata, todo lo llevó el capitán de los de la guardia;
16Las dos columnas, un mar, y las basas que Salomón había hecho para la casa de Jehová: no había peso de todos estos vasos.
17La altura de la una columna era diez y ocho codos y tenía encima un capitel de bronce, y la altura del capitel era de tres codos; y sobre el capitel había un enredado y granadas alrededor, todo de bronce: y semejante obra había en la otra columna con el enredado.
18Tomó entonces el capitán de los de la guardia á Saraías primer sacerdote, y á Sophonías segundo sacerdote, y tres guardas de la vajilla;
19Y de la ciudad tomó un eunuco, el cual era maestre de campo, y cinco varones de los continuos del rey, que se hallaron en la ciudad; y al principal escriba del ejército, que hacía la reseña de la gente del país; y sesenta varones del pueblo de la tierra, que se hallaron en la ciudad.
20Estos tomó Nabuzaradán, capitán de los de la guardia, y llevólos á Ribla al rey de Babilonia.
21Y el rey de Babilonia los hirió y mató en Ribla, en tierra de Hamath. Así fué trasportado Judá de sobre su tierra.
22Y al pueblo que Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia dejó en tierra de Judá, puso por gobernador á Gedalías, hijo de Ahicam hijo de Saphán.
23Y oyendo todos los príncipes del ejército, ellos y su gente, que el rey de Babilonia había puesto por gobernador á Gedalías, viniéronse á él en Mizpa, es á saber, Ismael hijo de Nathanías, y Johanán hijo de Carea, y Saraía hijo de Tanhumet Netofatita, y Jaazanías hijo de Maachâti, ellos con los suyos.
24Entonces Gedalías les hizo juramento, á ellos y á los suyos, y díjoles: No temáis de ser siervos de los Caldeos; habitad en la tierra, y servid al rey de Babilonia, y os irá bien.
25Mas en el mes séptimo vino Ismael hijo de Nathanías, hijo de Elisama, de la estirpe real, y con él diez varones, é hirieron á Gedalías, y murió: y también á los Judíos y Caldeos que estaban con él en Mizpa.
26Y levantándose todo el pueblo, desde el menor hasta el mayor, con los capitanes del ejército, fuéronse á Egipto por temor de los Caldeos.
27Y aconteció á los treinta y siete años de la trasportación de Joachîn rey de Judá, en el mes duodécimo, á los veinte y siete del mes, que Evil-merodach rey de Babilonia, en el primer año de su reinado, levantó la cabeza de Joachîn rey de Judá, sacándolo de la casa de la cárcel;
28Y hablóle bien, y puso su asiento sobre el asiento de los reyes que con él estaban en Babilonia.
29Y mudóle los vestidos de su prisión, y comió siempre delante de él todos los días de su vida.
30Y fuéle diariamente dada su comida de parte del rey de continuo, todos los días de su vida.

1And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came, he, and all his host, against Jerusalem, and pitched against it; and they built forts against it round about.
2And the city was besieged unto the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.
3And on the ninth day of the fourth month the famine prevailed in the city, and there was no bread for the people of the land.
4And the city was broken up, and all the men of war fled by night by the way of the gate between two walls, which is by the king’s garden: (now the Chaldees were against the city round about:) and the king went the way toward the plain.
5And the army of the Chaldees pursued after the king, and overtook him in the plains of Jericho: and all his army were scattered from him.
6So they took the king, and brought him up to the king of Babylon to Riblah; and they gave judgment upon him.
7And they slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and put out the eyes of Zedekiah, and bound him with fetters of brass, and carried him to Babylon.
8And in the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month, which is the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, came Nebuzar-adan, captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, unto Jerusalem:
9And he burnt the house of the LORD, and the king’s house, and all the houses of Jerusalem, and every great man’s house burnt he with fire.
10And all the army of the Chaldees, that were with the captain of the guard, brake down the walls of Jerusalem round about.
11Now the rest of the people that were left in the city, and the fugitives that fell away to the king of Babylon, with the remnant of the multitude, did Nebuzar-adan the captain of the guard carry away.
12But the captain of the guard left of the poor of the land to be vinedressers and husbandmen.
13And the pillars of brass that were in the house of the LORD, and the bases, and the brasen sea that was in the house of the LORD, did the Chaldees break in pieces, and carried the brass of them to Babylon.
14And the pots, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass wherewith they ministered, took they away.
15And the firepans, and the bowls, and such things as were of gold, in gold, and of silver, in silver, the captain of the guard took away.
16The two pillars, one sea, and the bases which Solomon had made for the house of the LORD; the brass of all these vessels was without weight.
17The height of the one pillar was eighteen cubits, and the chapiter upon it was brass: and the height of the chapiter three cubits; and the wreathen work, and pomegranates upon the chapiter round about, all of brass: and like unto these had the second pillar with wreathen work.
18And the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the door:
19And out of the city he took an officer that was set over the men of war, and five men of them that were in the king’s presence, which were found in the city, and the principal scribe of the host, which mustered the people of the land, and threescore men of the people of the land that were found in the city:
20And Nebuzar-adan captain of the guard took these, and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah:
21And the king of Babylon smote them, and slew them at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was carried away out of their land.
22And as for the people that remained in the land of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had left, even over them he made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, ruler.
23And when all the captains of the armies, they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah governor, there came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, even Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan the son of Careah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth the Netophathite, and Jaazaniah the son of a Maachathite, they and their men.
24And Gedaliah sware to them, and to their men, and said unto them, Fear not to be the servants of the Chaldees: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon; and it shall be well with you.
25But it came to pass in the seventh month, that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the seed royal, came, and ten men with him, and smote Gedaliah, that he died, and the Jews and the Chaldees that were with him at Mizpah.
26And all the people, both small and great, and the captains of the armies, arose, and came to Egypt: for they were afraid of the Chaldees.
27And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, that Evil-merodach king of Babylon in the year that he began to reign did lift up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah out of prison;
28And he spake kindly to him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that were with him in Babylon;
29And changed his prison garments: and he did eat bread continually before him all the days of his life.
30And his allowance was a continual allowance given him of the king, a daily rate for every day, all the days of his life.

1In the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and encamped against it; and they built forts against it around it.
2So the city was besieged until the eleventh year of King Zedekiah.
3On the ninth day of the fourth month, the famine was severe in the city, so that there was no bread for the people of the land.
4Then a breach was made in the city, and all the men of war fled by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, which was by the king’s garden (now the Chaldeans were against the city around it); and the king went by the way of the Arabah.
5But the Chaldean army pursued the king, and overtook him in the plains of Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him.
6Then they captured the king and carried him up to the king of Babylon to Riblah; and they passed judgment on him.
7They killed Zedekiah’s sons before his eyes, then put out Zedekiah’s eyes, bound him in fetters, and carried him to Babylon.
8Now in the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem.
9He burned the LORD’s house, the king’s house, and all the houses of Jerusalem. He burned every great house with fire.
10All the army of the Chaldeans, who were with the captain of the guard, broke down the walls around Jerusalem.
11Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive the rest of the people who were left in the city and those who had deserted to the king of Babylon—all the rest of the multitude.
12But the captain of the guard left some of the poorest of the land to work the vineyards and fields.
13The Chaldeans broke up the pillars of bronze that were in the LORD’s house and the bases and the bronze sea that were in the LORD’s house, and carried the bronze pieces to Babylon.
14They took away the pots, the shovels, the snuffers, the spoons, and all the vessels of bronze with which they ministered.
15The captain of the guard took away the fire pans, the basins, that which was of gold, for gold, and that which was of silver, for silver.
16The two pillars, the one sea, and the bases, which Solomon had made for the LORD’s house, the bronze of all these vessels was not weighed.
17The height of the one pillar was eighteen cubits, and a capital of bronze was on it. The height of the capital was three cubits, with network and pomegranates on the capital around it, all of bronze; and the second pillar with its network was like these.
18The captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the threshold;
19and out of the city he took an officer who was set over the men of war; and five men of those who saw the king’s face, who were found in the city; and the scribe, the captain of the army, who mustered the people of the land, and sixty men of the people of the land who were found in the city.
20Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard took them, and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah.
21The king of Babylon attacked them and put them to death at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was carried away captive out of his land.
22As for the people who were left in the land of Judah whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had left, even over them he made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, governor.
23Now when all the captains of the forces, they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah governor, they came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, even Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, Johanan the son of Kareah, Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth the Netophathite, and Jaazaniah the son of the Maacathite, they and their men.
24Gedaliah swore to them and to their men, and said to them, “Don’t be afraid because of the servants of the Chaldeans. Dwell in the land and serve the king of Babylon, and it will be well with you.”
25But in the seventh month, Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the royal offspring came, and ten men with him, and struck Gedaliah so that he died, with the Jews and the Chaldeans that were with him at Mizpah.
26All the people, both small and great, and the captains of the forces arose and came to Egypt; for they were afraid of the Chaldeans.
27In the thirty-seventh year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, Evilmerodach king of Babylon, in the year that he began to reign, released Jehoiachin king of Judah out of prison,
28and he spoke kindly to him and set his throne above the throne of the kings who were with him in Babylon,
29and changed his prison garments. Jehoiachin ate bread before him continually all the days of his life;
30and for his allowance, there was a continual allowance given him from the king, every day a portion, all the days of his life.
