Sedecia cieco, e legato (uccisi dinanzi a lui i suoi figliuoli) è condotto a Babilonia col rimanente del popolo, lasciato però un certo numero per coltivare la terra. Nabuchodonosor dopo aver dati alle fiamme tutti i magnifici edifizj insieme col tempio, lasciato per capo Godalla, che è ucciso da Ismaele; e il popolo fugge in Egitto. Joachin nella sua schiavitù è esaltato dal re di Babilonia.
