1In his days went up Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon, and Joakim became his servant three years; and then he turned and revolted from him.
2And the lord sent against him the bands of the Chaldeans, and the bands of Syria, and the bands of Moab, and the bands of the children of Ammon, and sent them into the land of Juda to prevail against it, according to the word of the Lord, which he spoke by his servants the prophets.
3Moreover it was Gr. on the mind the purpose of the Lord concerning Juda, to remove Gr. him them from his presence, because of the sins of Manasses, according to all that he did.
4Moreover he shed innocent blood, and filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, and the Lord would not Gr. be propitiated pardon it.
5And the rest of the acts of Joakim, and all that he did, behold, are not these written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Juda?
6And Joakim slept with his fathers: and Joachim his son reigned in his stead.
7And the king of Egypt came no more out of his land: for the king of Babylon took away all that belonged to the king of Egypt from the river of Egypt as far as the river Euphrates.
8Gr. Joachim a son of 18 years in reigning Eighteen years old was Joachim when he began to reign, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem: and his mother’s name was Nestha, daughter of Ellanastham, of Jerusalem.
9And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father did.
10At that time went up Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon to Jerusalem, and the city Gr. came into siege was besieged.
11And Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon came against the city, and his servants besieged it.
12And Joachim king of Juda came forth to the king of Babylon, he and his servants, and his mother, and his princes, and his eunuchs; and the king of Babylon took him in the eighth year of his reign.
13And he brought forth thence all the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the king’s house, and he cut up all the golden vessels which Solomon the king of Israel had made in the temple of the Lord, according to the word of the Lord.
14And he carried away the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and all the captains, and the mighty men, taking captive ten thousand Lit. captives prisoners, and every artificer and Lit. shutter-up smith: and only the poor of the land were left.
15And he carried Joachim away to Babylon, and the king’s mother, and the king’s wives, and his eunuchs: and he carried away the mighty men of the land into Gr. emigration captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.
16And all the men of might, even seven thousand, and one thousand artificers and smiths: all were mighty men fit for war; and the king of Babylon carried them captive to Babylon.
17And the king of Babylon made A. V. Mattaniah Batthanias his son king in his stead, and called his name Sedekias.
18Gr. a son of 21 years, Sedekias Twenty and one years old was Sedekias when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: and his mother’s name was Amital daughter of Jeremias.
19And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, according to all that Joachim did.
20For it was Lit. it was in the Lord’s mind to bring evil upon according to the Lord’s anger against Jerusalem and on Juda, until he cast them out of his presence, that Sedekias revolted against the king of Babylon.

1EN su tiempo subió Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia, al cual sirvió Joacim tres años; volvióse luego, y se rebeló contra él.
2Jehová empero envió contra él tropas de Caldeos, y tropas de Siros, y tropas de Moabitas, y tropas de Ammonitas; los cuales envió contra Judá para que la destruyesen, conforme á la palabra de Jehová que había hablado por sus siervos los profetas.
3Ciertamente vino esto contra Judá por dicho de Jehová, para quitarla de su presencia, por los pecados de Manasés, conforme á todo lo que hizo;
4Asimismo por la sangre inocente que derramó, pues hinchió á Jerusalem de sangre inocente: Jehová por tanto, no quiso perdonar.
5Lo demás de los hechos de Joacim, y todas las cosas que hizo, ¿no está escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Judá?
6Y durmió Joacim con sus padres, y reinó en su lugar Joachîn su hijo.
7Y nunca más el rey de Egipto salió de su tierra: porque el rey de Babilonia le tomó todo lo que era suyo, desde el río de Egipto hasta el río de Eufrates.
8De dieciocho años era Joachîn cuando comenzó á reinar, y reinó en Jerusalem tres meses. El nombre de su madre fué Neusta hija de Elnathán, de Jerusalem.

10En aquel tiempo subieron los siervos de Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia contra Jerusalem, y la ciudad fué cercada.
11Vino también Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia contra la ciudad, cuando sus siervos la tenían cercada.
12Entonces salió Joachîn rey de Judá al rey de Babilonia, él, y su madre, y sus siervos, y sus príncipes, y sus eunucos: y prendiólo el rey de Babilonia en el octavo año de su reinado.
13Y sacó de allí todos los tesoros de la casa de Jehová, y los tesoros de la casa real, y quebró en piezas todos los vasos de oro que había hecho Salomón rey de Israel en la casa de Jehová, como Jehová había dicho.

16A todos los hombre de guerra, que fueron siete mil, y á los oficiales y herreros, que fueron mil, y á todos los valientes para hacer la guerra, llevó cautivos el rey de Babilonia.
17Y el rey de Babilonia puso por rey en lugar de Joachîn á Mathanías su tío, y mudóle el nombre en el de Sedecías.

1In his days Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up, and Jehoiakim became his servant three years: then he turned and rebelled against him.
2And the LORD sent against him bands of the Chaldees, and bands of the Syrians, and bands of the Moabites, and bands of the children of Ammon, and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by his servants the prophets.
3Surely at the commandment of the LORD came this upon Judah, to remove them out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did;
4And also for the innocent blood that he shed: for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; which the LORD would not pardon.
5Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
6So Jehoiakim slept with his fathers: and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead.

20For through the anger of the LORD it came to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.
