35Joakim dio la plata y el oro al Faraón, pero para pagar el dinero, según la orden del Faraón, tuvo que imponer al país una contribución, por lo cual exigió de cada uno del pueblo del país, según su valuación, oro y plata, para entregarlo al Faraón Necao.

35Y Joacim pagó á Faraón la plata y el oro; mas hizo apreciar la tierra para dar el dinero conforme al mandamiento de Faraón, sacando la plata y oro del pueblo de la tierra, de cada uno según la estimación de su hacienda, para dar á Faraón Nechâo.

35And Jehoiakim gave the silver and the gold to Pharaoh; but he taxed the land to give the money according to the commandment of Pharaoh: he exacted the silver and the gold of the people of the land, of every one according to his taxation, to give it unto Pharaoh-nechoh.
