4Als aber der König von Assyrien eine Verschwörung Hoseas entdeckte – er hatte nämlich Gesandte an den König Sewe von Ägypten geschickt und dem Könige von Assyrien nicht mehr wie sonst alljährlich den Tribut entrichtet –, da ließ der König von Assyrien ihn festnehmen und gefesselt ins Gefängnis werfen.

4And the king of Assyria found conspiracy in Hoshea: for he had sent messengers to So king of Egypt, and brought no present to the king of Assyria, as he had done year by year: therefore the king of Assyria shut him up, and bound him in prison.
