1IM 27. Jahre Jerobeams, des Königs von Israel, wurde Asarja, der Sohn Amazjas, König von Juda.
2Sechzehn Jahre alt war er, als er König wurde, und 52 Jahre regierte er zu Jerusalem. Seine Mutter hiess Jecholja, von Jerusalem.
3Er tat, was dem Herrn wohlgefiel, ganz wie sein Vater Amazja getan hatte;
4nur wurden die Höhen nicht abgeschafft; noch immer opferte und räucherte das Volk auf den Höhen.
5Der Herr aber schlug den König, dass er aussätzig ward bis an den Tag seines Todes, und er wohnte in einem abgesonderten Hause, während Jotham, der Sohn des Königs, dem Palaste vorstand und dem Volk des Landes Recht sprach. (a) 3Mo 13:46

8IM 38. Jahre Asarjas, des Königs von Juda, wurde Sacharja, der Sohn Jerobeams, König über Israel zu Samaria (und regierte) sechs Monate.
9Er tat, was dem Herrn missfiel, wie seine Väter getan hatten; er liess nicht von der Sünde, zu der Jerobeam, der Sohn Nebats, Israel verführt hatte.
10Und Sallum, der Sohn des Jabes, zettelte eine Verschwörung wider ihn an und erschlug ihn zu Jibleam und wurde König an seiner Statt.

13Sallum, der Sohn des Jabes, wurde König im 39. Jahre Usias, des Königs von Juda, und regierte einen Monat zu Samaria.
14Da zog Menahem, der Sohn Gadis, heran von Thirza und kam nach Samaria, erschlug Sallum, den Sohn des Jabes, in Samaria und wurde König an seiner Statt.

16Damals verheerte Menahem von Thirza aus die Stadt Thappuah und alles, was darin war, und ihr ganzes Gebiet, weil man ihm (die Tore) nicht geöffnet hatte. Er zerstörte die Stadt, und die Schwangeren darin liess er aufschlitzen.
17Im 39. Jahre Asarjas, des Königs von Juda, wurde Menahem, der Sohn Gadis, König über Israel zu Samaria (und regierte) zehn Jahre.
18Er tat, was dem Herrn missfiel; er liess nicht von der Sünde, zu der Jerobeam, der Sohn Nebats, Israel verführt hatte. Zu seiner Zeit
19kam Phul, der König von Assyrien, über das Land. Da zahlte Menahem an Phul tausend Talente Silber, dass er ihm helfe, die Herrschaft in seiner Hand zu befestigen.
20Und Menahem erhob das Geld von Israel, von allen begüterten Leuten, fünfzig Lot Silber auf jeden Mann, um es dem König von Assyrien zu geben. Da zog der König von Assyrien wieder heim und blieb nicht dort im Lande.

22Und Menahem legte sich zu seinen Vätern, und sein Sohn Pekahja wurde König an seiner Statt.
23Im fünfzigsten Jahre Asarjas, des Königs von Juda, wurde Pekahja, der Sohn Menahems, König über Israel zu Samaria (und regierte) zwei Jahre.
24Er tat, was dem Herrn missfiel; er liess nicht von der Sünde, zu der Jerobeam, der Sohn Nebats, Israel verführt hatte.
25Und Pekah, der Sohn Remaljas, sein Adjutant, zettelte eine Verschwörung wider ihn an und erschlug ihn zu Samaria in der Burg des königlichen Palastes, während fünfzig Mann von den Gileaditen bei ihm waren. So tötete er ihn und wurde König an seiner Statt.

28Er tat, was dem Herrn missfiel; er liess nicht von der Sünde, zu der Jerobeam, der Sohn Nebats, Israel verführt hatte.
29Zur Zeit des Königs Pekah von Israel kam Thiglath-Pileser, der König von Assyrien, eroberte Jjon, Avel-Beth-Maacha, Janoah, Kedes, Hazor, Gilead und Galiläa, das ganze Land Naphtali, und führte die Bewohner in die Verbannung nach Assyrien. (a) 2Kön 17:6
30Und Hosea, der Sohn Elas, zettelte eine Verschwörung an wider Pekah, den Sohn Remaljas, erschlug ihn und wurde König an seiner Statt im zwanzigsten Jahre Jothams, des Sohnes Usias. (1) V. 33; 2Kön 17:1

32IM zweiten Jahre des Königs Pekah von Israel, des Sohnes Remaljas, wurde Jotham, der Sohn Usias, König von Juda.
3325 Jahre alt war er, als er König wurde, und sechzehn Jahre regierte er zu Jerusalem. Seine Mutter hiess Jerusa, die Tochter Zadoks.
34Er tat, was dem Herrn wohlgefiel, ganz wie sein Vater Usia getan hatte;
35nur wurden die Höhen nicht abgeschafft, noch immer opferte und räucherte das Volk auf den Höhen. Er baute das obere Tor am Tempel des Herrn.

37Zu jener Zeit fing der Herr an, den König Rezin von Syrien und Pekah, den Sohn Remaljas, wider Juda loszulassen.
38Und Jotham legte sich zu seinen Vätern und ward begraben bei seinen Vätern in der Stadt seines Ahnherrn David, und sein Sohn Ahas wurde König an seiner Statt.

1EN el año veintisiete de Jeroboam, rey de Israel, comenzó á reinar Azarías hijo de Amasías rey de Judá.
2Cuando comenzó á reinar era de dieciséis años, y cincuenta y dos años reinó en Jerusalem; el nombre de su madre fué Jecolía, de Jerusalem.
3E hizo lo recto en ojos de Jehová, conforme á todas las cosas que su padre Amasías había hecho.
4Con todo eso los altos no se quitaron; que el pueblo sacrificaba aún y quemaba perfumes en los altos.
5Mas Jehová hirió al rey con lepra, y fué leproso hasta el día de su muerte, y habitó en casa separada, y Jotham hijo del rey tenía el cargo del palacio, gobernando al pueblo de la tierra.

1In the twenty and seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel began Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah to reign.
2Sixteen years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned two and fifty years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Jecholiah of Jerusalem.
3And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah had done;
4Save that the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burnt incense still on the high places.
5And the LORD smote the king, so that he was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a several house. And Jotham the king’s son was over the house, judging the people of the land.
6And the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
7So Azariah slept with his fathers; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David: and Jotham his son reigned in his stead.

14For Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.

16Then Menahem smote Tiphsah, and all that were therein, and the coasts thereof from Tirzah: because they opened not to him, therefore he smote it; and all the women therein that were with child he ripped up.
17In the nine and thirtieth year of Azariah king of Judah began Menahem the son of Gadi to reign over Israel, and reigned ten years in Samaria.
18And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not all his days from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
19And Pul the king of Assyria came against the land: and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.
20And Menahem exacted the money of Israel, even of all the mighty men of wealth, of each man fifty shekels of silver, to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria turned back, and stayed not there in the land.

37In those days the LORD began to send against Judah Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah.

17In the thirty ninth year of Azariah king of Judah, Menahem the son of Gadi began to reign over Israel for ten years in Samaria.
18He did that which was evil in the LORD’s sight. He didn’t depart all his days from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin.
19Pul the king of Assyria came against the land, and Menahem gave Pul one thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.
