1Im siebenundzwanzigsten Jahre Jerobeams, des Königs von Israel, ward Asarja König, der Sohn Amazjas, des Königs von Juda.
2Sechzehn Jahre war er alt, als er König ward, und zweiundfünzig Jahre regierte er zu Jerusalem. Seine Mutter aber Hieß Jecholja und stammte aus Jerusalem.
3Und er that, was Jahwe wohlgefiel, ganz wie sein Vater Amazja gethan hatte.
4Nur wurden die Höhen nicht abgeschafft; das Volk opferte und räucherte noch immer auf den Höhen.
5Und Jahwe verhängte eine Plage über den König, daß er aussätzig ward bis zum Tage seines Todes. Und er wohnte in einem besonderen Hause; Jotham aber, der Sohn des Königs, stand dem Palaste vor und sprach dem Volke des Landes Recht.
6Was aber sonst noch von Asarja zu sagen ist und alles, was er ausgeführt hat, das ist ja aufgezeichnet im Buche der Geschichte der Könige von Juda.
7Und Asarja legte sich zu seinen Vätern, und man begrub ihn bei seinen Vätern in der Stadt Davids. Und sein Sohn Jotham ward König an seiner Statt.
8Im achtundreißigsten Jahre Asarjas, des Königs von Juda, ward Sacharja, der Sohn Jerobeams, König über Israel zu Samaria und regierte sechs Monate.
9Und er that, was Jahwe mißfiel, wie seine Väter gethan hatten. Er ließ nicht ab, von den Sünden Jerobeams, des Sohnes Nebats, zu denen er Israel verführt hatte.
10Und Sallum, der Sohn Jabes', zettelte eine Verschwörung wider ihn an und ermordete ihn zu Jibleam und ward König an seiner Statt.
11Was aber sonst noch von Sacharja zu sagen ist, das ist ja aufgezeichnet im Buche der Geschichte der Könige von Israel.
12So erfüllte sich das Wort Jahwes, das er zu Jehu geredet hatte, als er sprach: Es sollen Nachkommen von dir bis ins vierte Glied auf dem Thron Israels sitzen. Und so ist es geschehen.
13Sallum, der Sohn Jabes', ward König im neununddreißigsten Jahre Usias, des Königs von Juda, und regierte einen Monat lang zu Samaria.
14Da zog Menahem, der Sohn Gadis', von Thirza heran, und als er nach Samaria gelangt war, ermordete er Sallum, den Sohn Jabes', zu Samaria und ward König an seiner Statt.
15Was aber sonst noch von Sallum zu sagen ist und die Verschwörung, die er anzettelte, das ist ja aufgezeichnet im Buche der Geschichte der Könige von Israel.
16Damals verheerte Menahem die Stadt Thappuah und alles, was darin war, und ihr ganzes Gebiet von Thirza aus, weil man ihm die Thore nicht geöffnet hatte, und alle Schwangeren darin ließ er aufschlitzen.
17Im neununddreißigsten Jahre Asarjas, des Königs von Juda, ward Menahem, der Sohn Gadis', König über Israel und regierte zehn Jahre zu Samaria.
18Und er that was Jahwe mißfiel; er ließ nicht ab von allen Sünden Jerobeams, des Sohnes Nebats, zu denen er Israel verführt hatte.
19Zu seiner Zeit überfiel Phul, der König von Assyrien, das Land, und Menahem gab dem Phul tausend Talente Silbers, daß er es mit ihm hielte und so die Herrschaft in seiner Hand befestigte.
20Und Menahem erhob das Geld von Israel, von allen wehrpflichtigen Männern, um es dem Könige von Assyrien zu geben; fünfzig Sekel Silbers kamen auf einen jeden. Da zog der König von Assyrien wieder ab und verweilte nicht länger da im Lande.
21Was aber sonst noch von Menahem zu sagen ist und alles, was er ausgeführt hat, das ist ja aufgezeichnet im Buche der Geschichte der Könige von Israel.
22Und Menahem legte sich zu seinen Vätern, und sein Sohn Pekahjah ward König an seiner Statt.
23Im fünfzigsten Jahre Asarjas, des Kömigs von Juda, ward Pekahjah, der Sohn Menahems, König über Israel und regierte zu Samaria zwei Jahre.
24Und er that, was Jahwe mißfiel; er ließ nicht von den Sünden Jerobeams, des Sohnes Nebats, zu denen er Israel verführt hatte.
25Und Pekah, der Sohn Remaljas, sein Ritter, zettelte eine Verschwörung wider ihn an und ermordete ihn zu Samaria in der Burg des königlichen Palastes mit Argob und Arje; dabei halfen ihm fünzig Mann von den Gileaditern. Also tötete er ihn und ward König an seiner Statt.
26Was aber sonst noch von Pekahjah zu sagen ist und alles, was er ausgeführt hat, das ist ja aufgezeichnet im Buche der Geschichte der Könige von Israel.
27Im zweiundfünfzigsten Jahre Assarjas, des Königs von Juda, ward Pekah, der Sohn Remaljas, König über Israel zu Samaria und regierte zwanzig Jahre.
28Und er that, was Jahwe mißfiel; er ließ nicht von den Sünden Jerobeams, des Sohnes Nebats, zu denen er Israel verführt hatte.
29Zur Zeit Pekahs, des Königs von Israel, erschien Thiglath-Pileser, der König von Assyrien, eroberte Ijon, Abel-Beth-Maacha, Janoah, Kedes und Hazor, Gilead und Galiläa, das ganze Land Naphtali, und führte die Bewohner gefangen nach Assyrien.
30Und Hosea, der Sohn Elas, zettelte eine Verschwörung wider Pekah, den Sohn Remaljas, an, ermordete ihn und ward König an seiner Statt im zwanzigsten Jahre Jothams, des Sohnes Usias.
31Was aber sonst noch von Pekah zu sagen ist, und alles was er ausgeführt hat, das ist ja aufgezeichnet im Buche der Geschichte der Könige von Israel.
32Im zweiten Jahre Pekahs, des Sohnes Remaljas, ward Jotham König, der Sohn Usias, des Königs von Juda.
33Fünfundzwanzig Jahre war er alt, als er König ward, und sechzehn Jahre regierte er zu Jerusalem. Seine Mutter aber hieß Jerusa, die Tochter Zadoks.
34Und er that, was Jahwe wohlgefiel, ganz wie sein Vater Usia gethan hatte.
35Nur wurden die Höhen nicht abgeschafft; das Volk opferte und räucherte noch immer auf den Höhen. Derselbe baute das obere Thor am Tempel Jahwes.
36Was aber sonst noch von Jotham zu sagen ist und alles, was er ausgeführt hat, das ist ja aufgezeichnet im Buche der Geschichte der Könige von Juda.
37Zu jener Zeit begann Jahwe Rezin, den König von Aram, und Pekah, den Sohn Remaljas, gegen Juda loszulassen.
38Jotham aber legte sich zu seinen Vätern und ward bei seinen Vätern in der Stadt Davids begraben, und sein Sohn Ahas ward König an seiner Statt.

1EN el año veintisiete de Jeroboam, rey de Israel, comenzó á reinar Azarías hijo de Amasías rey de Judá.
2Cuando comenzó á reinar era de dieciséis años, y cincuenta y dos años reinó en Jerusalem; el nombre de su madre fué Jecolía, de Jerusalem.
3E hizo lo recto en ojos de Jehová, conforme á todas las cosas que su padre Amasías había hecho.
4Con todo eso los altos no se quitaron; que el pueblo sacrificaba aún y quemaba perfumes en los altos.
5Mas Jehová hirió al rey con lepra, y fué leproso hasta el día de su muerte, y habitó en casa separada, y Jotham hijo del rey tenía el cargo del palacio, gobernando al pueblo de la tierra.
6Lo demás de los hechos de Azarías, y todas las cosas que hizo, ¿no está escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Judá?
7Y durmió Azarías con sus padres, y sepultáronlo con sus padres en la ciudad de David: y reinó en su lugar Jotham su hijo.

12Y esta fué la palabra de Jehová que había hablado á Jehú, diciendo: Tus hijos hasta la cuarta generación se sentarán en el trono de Israel. Y fué así.
13Sallum hijo de Jabes comenzó á reinar en el año treinta y nueve de Uzzía rey de Judá, y reinó el tiempo de un mes en Samaria;
14Pues subió Manahem hijo de Gadi, de Thirsa, y vino á Samaria, é hirió á Sallum hijo de Jabes en Samaria, y matólo, y reinó en su lugar.

16Entonces hirió Manahem á Tiphsa, y á todos los que estaban en ella, y también sus términos desde Thirsa; é hirióla porque no le habían abierto; y abrió á todas sus preñadas.
17En el año treinta y nueve de Azarías rey de Judá, reinó Manahem hijo de Gadi sobre Israel diez años, en Samaria.
18E hizo lo malo en ojos de Jehová: no se apartó en todo su tiempo de los pecados de Jeroboam hijo de Nabat, el que hizo pecar á Israel.
19Y vino Phul rey de Asiria á la tierra; y dió Manahem á Phul mil talentos de plata porque le ayudara á confirmarse en el reino.
20E impuso Manahem este dinero sobre Israel, sobre todos los poderosos y opulentos: de cada uno cincuenta siclos de plata, para dar al rey de Asiria, y el rey de Asiria se volvió, y no se detuvo allí en la tierra.

25Y conspiró contra él Peka hijo de Remalías, capitán suyo, é hiriólo en Samaria, en el palacio de la casa real, en compañía de Argob y de Ariph, y con cincuenta hombres de los hijos de los Galaaditas; y matólo, y reinó en su lugar.

33Cuando comenzó á reinar era de veinticinco años, y reinó dieciséis años en Jerusalem. El nombre de su madre fué Jerusa hija de Sadoc.
34Y él hizo lo recto en ojos de Jehová; hizo conforme á todas las cosas que había hecho su padre Uzzía.
35Con todo eso los altos no fueron quitados; que el pueblo sacrificaba aún, y quemaba perfumes en los altos. Edificó él la puerta más alta de la casa de Jehová.

37En aquel tiempo comenzó Jehová á enviar contra Judá á Resín rey de Siria, y á Peka hijo de Remalías.

1In the twenty and seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel began Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah to reign.
2Sixteen years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned two and fifty years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Jecholiah of Jerusalem.
3And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah had done;
4Save that the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burnt incense still on the high places.
5And the LORD smote the king, so that he was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a several house. And Jotham the king’s son was over the house, judging the people of the land.
6And the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
7So Azariah slept with his fathers; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David: and Jotham his son reigned in his stead.
8In the thirty and eighth year of Azariah king of Judah did Zachariah the son of Jeroboam reign over Israel in Samaria six months.
9And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as his fathers had done: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

13Shallum the son of Jabesh began to reign in the nine and thirtieth year of Uzziah king of Judah; and he reigned a full month in Samaria.
14For Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.
15And the rest of the acts of Shallum, and his conspiracy which he made, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.
16Then Menahem smote Tiphsah, and all that were therein, and the coasts thereof from Tirzah: because they opened not to him, therefore he smote it; and all the women therein that were with child he ripped up.
17In the nine and thirtieth year of Azariah king of Judah began Menahem the son of Gadi to reign over Israel, and reigned ten years in Samaria.
18And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not all his days from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
19And Pul the king of Assyria came against the land: and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.
20And Menahem exacted the money of Israel, even of all the mighty men of wealth, of each man fifty shekels of silver, to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria turned back, and stayed not there in the land.

22And Menahem slept with his fathers; and Pekahiah his son reigned in his stead.

35Howbeit the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burned incense still in the high places. He built the higher gate of the house of the LORD.
36Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
37In those days the LORD began to send against Judah Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah.
38And Jotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.

16Then Menahem attacked Tiphsah and all who were in it and its border areas, from Tirzah. He attacked it because they didn’t open their gates to him, and he ripped up all their women who were with child.
17In the thirty ninth year of Azariah king of Judah, Menahem the son of Gadi began to reign over Israel for ten years in Samaria.
18He did that which was evil in the LORD’s sight. He didn’t depart all his days from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin.
19Pul the king of Assyria came against the land, and Menahem gave Pul one thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.

27In the fifty-second year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekah the son of Remaliah began to reign over Israel in Samaria for twenty years.
