Im siebenten Jahre Jehus wurde Joas König, und vierzig Jahre regierte er in Jerusalem. Seine Mutter hiess Zibja, von Beerseba.

EN el séptimo año de Jehú comenzó á reinar Joas, y reinó cuarenta años en Jerusalem. El nombre de su madre fué Sibia, de Beer-seba.

In the seventh year of Jehu Jehoash began to reign; and forty years reigned he in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Zibiah of Beer-sheba.

Und Joas tat, was dem Herrn wohlgefiel, sein ganzes Leben lang, weil ihn der Priester Jojada unterwies.

Y Joas dijo á los sacerdotes: Todo el dinero de las santificaciones que se suele traer á la casa de Jehová, el dinero de los que pasan en cuenta, el dinero por las personas, cada cual según su tasa, y todo el dinero que cada uno de su propia voluntad mete en la casa de Jehová,

And Jehoash said to the priests, All the money of the dedicated things that is brought into the house of the LORD, even the money of every one that passeth the account, the money that every man is set at, and all the money that cometh into any man’s heart to bring into the house of the LORD,

das mögen die Priester an sich nehmen, ein jeder von seinem Bekannten; aber sie sollen davon ausbessern, was am Tempel baufällig ist, wo immer sich etwas Baufälliges daran findet.

Recíbanlo los sacerdotes, cada uno de sus familiares, y reparen los portillos del templo donde quiera que se hallare abertura.

Im 23. Jahre des Königs Joas aber hatten die Priester die Schäden am Tempel noch nicht ausgebessert.

Da berief der König Joas den Priester Jojada und die (andern) Priester und sprach zu ihnen: Warum bessert ihr die Schäden am Tempel nicht aus? Von nun an sollt ihr kein Geld von euren Bekannten mehr entgegennehmen, sondern sollt es hergeben, die Schäden am Tempel auszubessern.

Llamando entonces el rey Joas al pontífice Joiada y á los sacerdotes, díjoles: ¿Por qué no reparáis las aberturas del templo? Ahora pues, no toméis más el dinero de vuestros familiares, sino dadlo para reparar las roturas del templo.

Then king Jehoash called for Jehoiada the priest, and the other priests, and said unto them, Why repair ye not the breaches of the house? now therefore receive no more money of your acquaintance, but deliver it for the breaches of the house.

Und die Priester waren damit einverstanden, dass sie von den Leuten kein Geld mehr entgegennehmen, aber auch die Schäden am Tempel nicht ausbessern sollten.

Y los sacerdotes consintieron en no tomar más dinero del pueblo, ni tener cargo de reparar las aberturas del templo.

And the priests consented to receive no more money of the people, neither to repair the breaches of the house.

Hierauf nahm der Priester Jojada eine Lade, bohrte ein Loch in den Deckel und stellte sie neben den Malstein rechts am Eingang in den Tempel des Herrn. Dahinein taten die Priester, welche die Schwelle hüteten, alles Geld, das zum Tempel gebracht wurde.

und an die Maurer und Steinmetzen, auch für den Ankauf von Holz und behauenen Steinen, um die Schäden am Tempel auszubessern, für alles, was die Ausbesserung des Tempels kostete.

sondern man gab es den Arbeitern, dass sie davon den Tempel ausbesserten.

Porque lo daban á los que hacían la obra, y con él reparaban la casa de Jehová.

Damals zog Hasael, der König von Syrien, heran, bestürmte Gath und nahm es ein. Dann schickte Hasael sich an, wider Jerusalem hinaufzuziehen; (a) 2Kön 10:32

Por lo que tomó Joas rey de Judá todas las ofrendas que había dedicado Josaphat, y Joram y Ochôzías sus padres, reyes de Judá, y las que él había dedicado, y todo el oro que se halló en los tesoros de la casa de Jehová, y en la casa del rey, y enviólo á Hazael rey de Siria: y él se partió de Jerusalem.

And Jehoash king of Judah took all the hallowed things that Jehoshaphat, and Jehoram, and Ahaziah, his fathers, kings of Judah, had dedicated, and his own hallowed things, and all the gold that was found in the treasures of the house of the LORD, and in the king’s house, and sent it to Hazael king of Syria: and he went away from Jerusalem.

Was sonst noch von Joas zu sagen ist, alles, was er getan hat, das steht ja geschrieben in der Chronik der Könige von Juda.

Seine Diener aber erhoben sich, zettelten eine Verschwörung an und erschlugen Joas im Hause Millo;

seine Diener Josachar, der Sohn Simeaths, und Josabad, der Sohn Somers, schlugen ihn tot. Und man begrub ihn in der Davidsstadt bei seinen Vätern, und sein Sohn Amazja wurde König an seiner Statt.
