L'anno settimo di Jehu cominciò di Gioas a regnare, e regnò quarant'anni in Gerusalemme: sua madre si chiamò Sebia di Bersabee.

EN el séptimo año de Jehú comenzó á reinar Joas, y reinó cuarenta años en Jerusalem. El nombre de su madre fué Sibia, de Beer-seba.

In the seventh year of Jehu Jehoash began to reign; and forty years reigned he in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Zibiah of Beer-sheba.

E Gioas fece quel, che era giusto nel cospetto del Signore per tutto il tempo, che ebbe per maestro Joiada sommo Sacerdote.

Y Joas hizo lo recto en ojos de Jehová todo el tiempo que le dirigió el sacerdote Joiada.

And Jehoash did that which was right in the sight of the LORD all his days wherein Jehoiada the priest instructed him.

Egli però non tolse via i luoghi eccelsi; perocché il popolo immolava tutt'ora, e bruciava incenso ne' luoghi eccelsi.

Y Joas dijo á los sacerdotes: Todo el dinero de las santificaciones que se suele traer á la casa de Jehová, el dinero de los que pasan en cuenta, el dinero por las personas, cada cual según su tasa, y todo el dinero que cada uno de su propia voluntad mete en la casa de Jehová,

And Jehoash said to the priests, All the money of the dedicated things that is brought into the house of the LORD, even the money of every one that passeth the account, the money that every man is set at, and all the money that cometh into any man’s heart to bring into the house of the LORD,

Lo riceveranno i sacerdoti secondo il loro turno, e faranno i risarcimenti della casa secondo che vedranno esservi il bisogno.

Recíbanlo los sacerdotes, cada uno de sus familiares, y reparen los portillos del templo donde quiera que se hallare abertura.

Let the priests take it to them, every man of his acquaintance: and let them repair the breaches of the house, wheresoever any breach shall be found.

Or fino all'anno ventesimo terzo del re Gioas, i sacerdoti non fecero i risarcimenti del tempio.

E il re Gioas chiamò a se Joiada Pontefice, e i sacerdoti, e disse loro: Per qual motivo non avete voi fatto i risarcimenti del tempio? Non prendete adunque peli' avvenire il danaro nei vostri turni, ma lasciatelo pei risarcimenti del tempio.

Llamando entonces el rey Joas al pontífice Joiada y á los sacerdotes, díjoles: ¿Por qué no reparáis las aberturas del templo? Ahora pues, no toméis más el dinero de vuestros familiares, sino dadlo para reparar las roturas del templo.

Then king Jehoash called for Jehoiada the priest, and the other priests, and said unto them, Why repair ye not the breaches of the house? now therefore receive no more money of your acquaintance, but deliver it for the breaches of the house.

E fu vietato ai sacerdoti di continuare a prendere il danaro dal popolo, e di fare i risarcimenti della casa.

Y los sacerdotes consintieron en no tomar más dinero del pueblo, ni tener cargo de reparar las aberturas del templo.

And the priests consented to receive no more money of the people, neither to repair the breaches of the house.

E il Pontefice Joiada prese una cassa, e vi fece farà una buca dalla parte di sopra, e la collocò presso all'altare dal lato destro riguardo a quelli, che entravan nella casa del Signore, e i sacerdoti, che custodivan le porte, gettavano in quella cassa tutto il denaro, che era portato al tempio del Signore.

Mas el pontífice Joiada tomó un arca, é hízole en la tapa un agujero, y púsola junto al altar, á la mano derecha como se entra en el templo de Jehová; y los sacerdotes que guardaban la puerta, ponían allí todo el dinero que se metía en la casa de Jehová.

E quando si accorgevano, che troppo di denaro era nella cassa, il segretario del re, e il Pontefice andavano, e lo cavavano, e contavano tutto quel denaro, che trovavasi nella casa del Signore.

E numeratolo, e pesatolo, lo rimettevano nelle mani di quelli, che risiedevano agli operai della casa del Signore, e quelli ne pagavano i legnaiuoli, e muratori, che lavoravano nella casa del Signore,

And they gave the money, being told, into the hands of them that did the work, that had the oversight of the house of the LORD: and they laid it out to the carpenters and builders, that wrought upon the house of the LORD,

E facevano i risarcimenti, e quelli, che tagliavan le pietre, e comperavano i legnami, e le pietre da tagliare, affinchè fosse perfettamente risarcita la casa del Signore in qualunque parte occorresse dì spendere per la stabilita della casa.

Y los albañiles y canteros; y en comprar la madera y piedra de cantería para reparar las aberturas de la casa de Jehová; y en todo lo que se gastaba en la casa para repararla.

And to masons, and hewers of stone, and to buy timber and hewed stone to repair the breaches of the house of the LORD, and for all that was laid out for the house to repair it.

Ma di quel denaro, che era portato al tempio del Signore, non si facevano le idrie, e le forchette, e i turiboli, e le trombe, né alcuno de' vasi d'oro, e d'argento del tempio del Signore:

Howbeit there were not made for the house of the LORD bowls of silver, snuffers, basons, trumpets, any vessels of gold, or vessels of silver, of the money that was brought into the house of the LORD:

Perocché egli si dava a quelli, che lavoravano ai risarcimenti del tempio del Signore:

Porque lo daban á los que hacían la obra, y con él reparaban la casa de Jehová.

But they gave that to the workmen, and repaired therewith the house of the LORD.

E non si faceva render conto a quelli, i quali riceveano il denaro per pagare gli artefici, ma lo amministravano sulla loro fede.

Y no se tomaba cuenta á los hombres en cuyas manos el dinero era entregado, para que ellos lo diesen á los que hacían la obra: porque lo hacían ellos fielmente.

E non si portava nel tempio del Signore il danaro (offerto) per il delitto, o pel peccato, perchè questo era dei sacerdoti.

The trespass money and sin money was not brought into the house of the LORD: it was the priests’.

Allora Hazael re di Siria andò all'assedio di Geth, e la prese; e si voltò per andare a Gerusalemme.

Entonces subió Hazael rey de Siria, y peleó contra Gath, y tomóla: y puso Hazael su rostro para subir contra Jerusalem;

Per la qual cosa Gioas re di Giuda prese tutte le cose sacre offerte da Josaphat, da Joram, e da Ochozia regi di Giuda suoi maggiori, e quelle, che egli avea offerte; e tutto l'argento, che potè trovarsi ne' tesori del tempio del Signore, e nel palazzo reale, e lo mandò ad Hazaele re di Siria, il quale si ritirò da Gerusalemme.

Por lo que tomó Joas rey de Judá todas las ofrendas que había dedicado Josaphat, y Joram y Ochôzías sus padres, reyes de Judá, y las que él había dedicado, y todo el oro que se halló en los tesoros de la casa de Jehová, y en la casa del rey, y enviólo á Hazael rey de Siria: y él se partió de Jerusalem.

And Jehoash king of Judah took all the hallowed things that Jehoshaphat, and Jehoram, and Ahaziah, his fathers, kings of Judah, had dedicated, and his own hallowed things, and all the gold that was found in the treasures of the house of the LORD, and in the king’s house, and sent it to Hazael king of Syria: and he went away from Jerusalem.

Il resto poi delle azioni di Gioas, e tutto quello, ch'ei fece, non è egli scritto nel giornale de' fatti dei re di Giuda?

Or i suoi servi si sollevarono, e fecer congiura tra loro, e uccisero Gioas nella casa di Mello nella discesa di Sella.

E quelli, che lo uccisero, furono Josachar figliuolo di Semaath, e Jozabad figliuolo di Somer, suoi servi; e morto ch'ei fu lo seppellirono co' padri suoi nella città di Davidde, e regnò in luogo di lui Amasia suo figliuolo. Joachaz re d'Israele malamente straziato dal re di Siria pe' suoi peccati, si converte al Signare, ed e liberato: muore, e gli succede il figliuolo Gioas, il quale secondo la predizione di Eliseo moribondo, vince tre volte i Siri. Un morto gettato nel sepolcro del defunto Eliseo, risuscita.

Pues Josachâr hijo de Simaath, y Jozabad hijo de Somer, sus siervos, hiriéronle, y murió. Y sepultáronlo con sus padres en la ciudad de David, y reinó en su lugar Amasías su hijo.
