21Jozacar, filho de Simeate, e Jozabade, filho de Somer, seus servos, o atacaram e ele morreu. Eles sepultaram Joás com seus ancestrais na cidade de Davi, e Amazias, seu filho, veio a ser rei em seu lugar.
