21Seine Diener erhoben sich, machten eine Verschwörung und erschlugen Joas im Basteihaus, das zur Steige abfällt. Jozakar, Simats Sohn, und Somers Sohn Jozabad, seine Diener, schlugen ihn tot. Dann begrub man ihn bei seinen Vätern in der Davidsstadt. Und sein Sohn Amasja ward an seiner Statt König.
