2 Corintios 7
Nova Bíblia Viva
1Queridos amigos, tendo promessas tão grandes como estas, afastemo-nos de tudo o que contamina o corpo e o espírito, e nos purifiquemos, vivendo no temor a Deus, dedicando-nos somente a ele.
2Eu lhes peço que abram seus corações novamente para nós, pois nenhum de vocês sofreu de nós qualquer injustiça. Nem um só dentre vocês foi desencaminhado. Não enganamos a ninguém, e não nos aproveitamos de ninguém.
3Não estou dizendo isso para repreendê-los ou censurá-los, pois, como eu já disse antes, vocês estão para sempre em nosso coração; e estejamos juntos, tanto para morrer como para viver.
4Eu tenho em vocês a maior confiança, e me orgulho grandemente de vocês. Vocês me têm encorajado muitíssimo; minha alegria transborda, apesar de todo o meu sofrimento.
5Quando nós chegamos à Macedônia nem pudemos descansar; por fora, havia aborrecimentos por toda parte ao nosso redor; e dentro de nós, os nossos corações se encheram de temor.
6Foi então que Deus, aquele que anima os abatidos, revigorou-nos com a chegada de Tito.
7Não só a sua presença foi uma alegria, mas também as notícias que ele nos trouxe a respeito da esplêndida temporada que passou com vocês. Quando ele me contou como vocês estavam ansiosos por minha visita e como estavam tristes pelo que tinha sucedido, assim como da lealdade e caloroso afeto que vocês têm para comigo, exultei de alegria!
8Não estou arrependido por ter-lhes enviado aquela carta, ainda que estivesse muito triste durante algum tempo, percebendo como ela seria dolorosa para vocês. Entretanto, ela só os entristeceu por um curto momento.
9Agora, alegro-me por tê-la remetido, não porque ela os entristeceu, mas porque a dor fez com que vocês se voltassem para Deus. Foi uma espécie de tristeza que Deus quer que o seu povo tenha, e assim não causamos nenhum mal a vocês.
10Porque Deus às vezes utiliza a tristeza em nossas vidas para nos ajudar a nos afastarmos do pecado, nos arrependermos, para, assim, nos levar à salvação. Já a tristeza do homem incrédulo não é a tristeza do arrependimento verdadeiro e produz a morte.
11Vejam só quanto bem lhes fez essa tristeza enviada pelo Senhor! Vocês não encolheram mais os ombros, mas tornaram-se fervorosos e sinceros, e muito ansiosos para se libertarem do pecado acerca do qual eu lhes tinha escrito. Ficaram preocupados e com medo com o que sucedera. Vocês fizeram tudo que podiam para corrigir a situação.
12Escrevi-lhes daquela maneira para que o Senhor pudesse revelar quanto vocês na realidade nos consideram e não por causa de quem ofendeu, nem por causa da pessoa que foi ofendida. Pelo contrário, escrevi essa carta para tornar claro a vocês que Deus sabe da dedicação de vocês para conosco.
13Além do estímulo que vocês nos deram com o seu afeto, nós ficamos ainda mais alegres vendo o contentamento de Tito porque vocês lhe deram uma acolhida tão boa, e o seu espírito recebeu refrigério de todos vocês.
14Eu disse a ele como ia ser — e contei-lhe, antes que ele fosse, do meu orgulho por vocês — e vocês não me desapontaram. Eu sempre lhes disse a verdade e agora ficou provado que eu me orgulhei diante de Tito com razão.
15A sua estima por vocês fica maior ainda, quando lembra da maneira pela qual vocês o escutaram de tão bom grado, recebendo-o com tanto temor e tremor.
16Como isso me deixa feliz em poder ter plena confiança em vocês.

1ASÍ que, amados, pues tenemos tales promesas, limpiémonos de toda inmundicia de carne y de espíritu, perfeccionando la santificación en temor de Dios.
2Admitidnos: á nadie hemos injuriado, á nadie hemos corrompido, á nadie hemos engañado.
3No para condenaros lo digo; que ya he dicho antes que estáis en nuestros corazones, para morir y para vivir juntamente.
4Mucha confianza tengo de vosotros, tengo de vosotros mucha gloria; lleno estoy de consolación, sobreabundo de gozo en todas nuestras tribulaciones.
5Porque aun cuando vinimos á Macedonia, ningún reposo tuvo nuestra carne; antes, en todo fuimos atribulados: de fuera, cuestiones; de dentro, temores.
6Mas Dios, que consuela á los humildes, nos consoló con la venida de Tito:
7Y no sólo con su venida, sino también con la consolación con que él fué consolado acerca de vosotros, haciéndonos saber vuestro deseo grande, vuestro lloro, vuestro celo por mí, para que así me gozase más.
8Porque aunque os contristé por la carta, no me arrepiento, bien que me arrepentí; porque veo que aquella carta, aunque por algún tiempo os contristó,
9Ahora me gozo, no porque hayáis sido contristados, sino porque fuisteis contristados para arrepentimiento; porque habéis sido contristados según Dios, para que ninguna pérdida padecieseis por nuestra parte.
10Porque el dolor que es según Dios, obra arrepentimiento saludable, de que no hay que arrepentirse; mas el dolor del siglo obra muerte.
11Porque he aquí, esto mismo que según Dios fuisteis contristados, cuánta solicitud ha obrado en vosotros, y aun defensa, y aun enojo, y aun temor, y aun gran deseo, y aun celo, y aun vindicación. En todo os habéis mostrado limpios en el negocio.
12Así que, aunque os escribí, no fué por causa del que hizo la injuria, ni por causa del que la padeció, mas para que os fuese manifiesta nuestra solicitud que tenemos por vosotros delante de Dios.
13Por tanto, tomamos consolación de vuestra consolación: empero mucho más nos gozamos por el gozo de Tito, que haya sido recreado su espíritu de todos vosotros.
14Pues si algo me he gloriado para con él de vosotros, no he sido avergonzado; antes, como todo lo que habíamos dicho de vosotros era con verdad, así también nuestra gloria delante de Tito fué hallada verdadera.
15Y sus entrañas son más abundantes para con vosotros, cuando se acuerda de la obediencia de todos vosotros, de cómo lo recibisteis con temor y temblor.
16Me gozo de que en todo estoy confiado de vosotros.

1Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
2Receive us; we have wronged no man, we have corrupted no man, we have defrauded no man.
3I speak not this to condemn you: for I have said before, that ye are in our hearts to die and live with you.
4Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.
5For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were fears.
6Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus;
7And not by his coming only, but by the consolation wherewith he was comforted in you, when he told us your earnest desire, your mourning, your fervent mind toward me; so that I rejoiced the more.
8For though I made you sorry with a letter, I do not repent, though I did repent: for I perceive that the same epistle hath made you sorry, though it were but for a season.
9Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.
10For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
11For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.
12Wherefore, though I wrote unto you, I did it not for his cause that had done the wrong, nor for his cause that suffered wrong, but that our care for you in the sight of God might appear unto you.
13Therefore we were comforted in your comfort: yea, and exceedingly the more joyed we for the joy of Titus, because his spirit was refreshed by you all.
14For if I have boasted any thing to him of you, I am not ashamed; but as we spake all things to you in truth, even so our boasting, which I made before Titus, is found a truth.
15And his inward affection is more abundant toward you, whilst he remembereth the obedience of you all, how with fear and trembling ye received him.
16I rejoice therefore that I have confidence in you in all things.

1Having therefore these promises, beloved, let’s cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
2Open your hearts to us. We wronged no one. We corrupted no one. We took advantage of no one.
3I say this not to condemn you, for I have said before that you are in our hearts to die together and live together.
4Great is my boldness of speech toward you. Great is my boasting on your behalf. I am filled with comfort. I overflow with joy in all our affliction.
5For even when we had come into Macedonia, our flesh had no relief, but we were afflicted on every side. Fightings were outside. Fear was inside.
6Nevertheless, he who comforts the lowly, God, comforted us by the coming of Titus,
7and not by his coming only, but also by the comfort with which he was comforted in you while he told us of your longing, your mourning, and your zeal for me, so that I rejoiced still more.
8For though I grieved you with my letter, I do not regret it, though I did regret it. For I see that my letter made you grieve, though just for a while.
9I now rejoice, not that you were grieved, but that you were grieved to repentance. For you were grieved in a godly way, that you might suffer loss by us in nothing.
10For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, which brings no regret. But the sorrow of the world produces death.
11For behold, this same thing, that you were grieved in a godly way, what earnest care it worked in you. Yes, what defense, indignation, fear, longing, zeal, and vindication! In everything you demonstrated yourselves to be pure in the matter.
12So although I wrote to you, I wrote not for his cause that did the wrong, nor for his cause that suffered the wrong, but that your earnest care for us might be revealed in you in the sight of God.
13Therefore we have been comforted. In our comfort we rejoiced the more exceedingly for the joy of Titus, because his spirit has been refreshed by you all.
14For if in anything I have boasted to him on your behalf, I was not disappointed. But as we spoke all things to you in truth, so our glorying also which I made before Titus was found to be truth.
15His affection is more abundantly toward you, while he remembers all of your obedience, how with fear and trembling you received him.
16I rejoice that in everything I am confident concerning you.
