Pursued, but not abandoned, thrown down, but not destroyed;—

Perseguidos, mas no desamparados; abatidos, mas no perecemos;

Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

pursued, yet not forsaken; struck down, yet not destroyed;
