Así que yo decidí por mí mismo que yo no volvería a ustedes en circunstancias dolorosas.
ESTO pues determiné para conmigo, no venir otra vez á vosotros con tristeza.
But I determined this with myself, that I would not come again to you in heaviness.
But I determined this for myself, that I would not come to you again in sorrow.
Si yo les causé dolor, ¿quién podría alegrarme, sino el mismo que fue lastimado por mí?
Porque si yo os contristo, ¿quién será luego el que me alegrará, sino aquel á quien yo contristare?
For if I make you sorry, who is he then that maketh me glad, but the same which is made sorry by me?
For if I make you grieve, then who will make me glad but he who is made to grieve by me?
Yo escribí como lo hice, para que cuando yo viniera a ustedes, yo no fuera lastimado por aquellos que debieron haberme regocijado. Yo tengo confianza en todos ustedes de que mi gozo es el mismo gozo que todos ustedes tienen.
Y esto mismo os escribí, porque cuando llegare no tenga tristeza sobre tristeza de los que me debiera gozar; confiando en vosotros todos que mi gozo es el de todos vosotros.
And I wrote this same unto you, lest, when I came, I should have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all, that my joy is the joy of you all.
And I wrote this very thing to you, so that when I came, I wouldn’t have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all that my joy would be shared by all of you.
Porque yo les escribí a ustedes con mucha aflicción, con angustia en el corazón, y con muchas lágrimas. Yo no quise causarles dolor. Al contrario, yo quería que ustedes conocieran la profundidad del amor que yo tengo por ustedes.
Porque por la mucha tribulación y angustia del corazón os escribí con muchas lágrimas; no para que fueseis contristados, mas para que supieseis cuánto más amor tengo para con vosotros.
For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that ye should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you.

Si alguien ha causado dolor, él no me lo ha causado solo a mí, sino en alguna medida, para no decirlo con demasiada dureza, también a todos ustedes.
Que si alguno me contristó, no me contristó á mí, sino en parte, por no cargaros, á todos vosotros.
But if any have caused grief, he hath not grieved me, but in part: that I may not overcharge you all.
But if any has caused sorrow, he has caused sorrow not to me, but in part (that I not press too heavily) to you all.
Este castigo de esa persona por la mayoría de ustedes es suficiente.
Bástale al tal esta reprensión hecha de muchos;
Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was inflicted of many.
This punishment which was inflicted by the many is sufficient for such a one;
Así que ahora, en lugar de castigo, ustedes deben perdonarlo y consolarlo. Hagan esto de manera que él no sea abrumado por demasiada tristeza.
Así que, al contrario, vosotros más bien lo perdonéis y consoléis, porque no sea el tal consumido de demasiada tristeza.
So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow.
so that, on the contrary, you should rather forgive him and comfort him, lest by any means such a one should be swallowed up with his excessive sorrow.
Así que yo les aliento a que públicamente afirmen su amor por él.
Por lo cual os ruego que confirméis el amor para con él.
Wherefore I beseech you that ye would confirm your love toward him.

Esta fue la razón por la cual yo les escribí, para que yo pudiera probarlos a ustedes y supiera si ustedes son obedientes en todo.
Porque también por este fin os escribí, para tener experiencia de vosotros si sois obedientes en todo.
For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things.

Si ustedes perdonan a alguien, yo perdono a esa persona también. Lo que yo he perdonado, si es que yo haya perdonado cualquier cosa, esto es perdonado por amor a ustedes en la presencia de Cristo.
Y al que vosotros perdonareis, yo también: porque también yo lo que he perdonado, si algo he perdonado, por vosotros lo he hecho en persona de Cristo;
To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ;
Now I also forgive whomever you forgive anything. For if indeed I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven that one for your sakes in the presence of Christ,
Esto es así para que Satanás no nos engañe. Porque nosotros no somos ignorantes de sus planes.
Porque no seamos engañados de Satanás: pues no ignoramos sus maquinaciones.
Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
that no advantage may be gained over us by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes.
Una puerta fue abierta para mí por el Señor cuando vine a la ciudad de Troas a predicar allí el evangelio de Cristo.

Pero gracias sean a Dios, Quien en Cristo siempre nos guía en triunfo. A través de nosotros esparce el dulce aroma del conocimiento de Él en todo lugar.
Mas á Dios gracias, el cual hace que siempre triunfemos en Cristo Jesús, y manifiesta el olor de su conocimiento por nosotros en todo lugar.
Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and reveals through us the sweet aroma of his knowledge in every place.
Porque nosotros somos para Dios el dulce aroma de Cristo, tanto entre aquellos que se salvan como entre aquellos que perecen.
Porque para Dios somos buen olor de Cristo en los que se salvan, y en los que se pierden:
For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:
For we are a sweet aroma of Christ to God in those who are being saved and in those who perish:
Para las personas que perecen, es un aroma de muerte para muerte. Para los que se salvan, es un aroma de vida para vida. ¿Quién es merecedor de estas cosas?
A éstos ciertamente olor de muerte para muerte; y á aquéllos olor de vida para vida. Y para estas cosas ¿quién es suficiente?
To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?
to the one a stench from death to death, to the other a sweet aroma from life to life. Who is sufficient for these things?
Porque nosotros no somos como tantas personas que venden la palabra de Dios para ganancia. En su lugar, con pureza de motivos, nosotros hablamos en Cristo, así como nosotros somos enviados de Dios, delante de Dios.
Porque no somos como muchos, mercaderes falsos de la palabra de Dios: antes con sinceridad, como de Dios, delante de Dios, hablamos en Cristo.
For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.
For we are not as so many, peddling the word of God. But as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God, we speak in Christ.
