4Escrevi aquela carta com aflição e angústia! Ela quase despedaçou meu coração, e digo-lhes francamente que chorei por causa dela. Eu não queria entristecê-los, mas tinha que mostrar-lhes quão profundamente os amava e me preocupava com o que estava acontecendo a vocês.

4Porque por la mucha tribulación y angustia del corazón os escribí con muchas lágrimas; no para que fueseis contristados, mas para que supieseis cuánto más amor tengo para con vosotros.

4For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that ye should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you.
