Wir wagen es nun freilich nicht, uns auf eine Linie zu stellen, oder uns mit solchen zu vergleichen, die sich selbst zu empfehlen wissen. Sie messen sich nur an sich selbst und stellen sich selber nur sich selbst gleich und zeigen damit ihren Unverstand.
Porque no osamos entremeternos ó compararnos con algunos que se alaban á sí mismos: mas ellos, midiéndose á sí mismos por sí mismos, y comparándose consigo mismos no son juiciosos.
For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.
