17Allora egli fece salire contro ad essi il re dei Caldei, che uccise di spada i loro giovani nella casa del loro santuario, e non risparmiò né giovane, né fanciulla, né vecchiaia, né canizie. L’Eterno gli diè nelle mani ogni cosa.
