1Und Josia hielt dem HERRN ein Passah zu Jerusalem, und sie schlachteten das Passah am vierzehnten Tage des ersten Monats.
2Und er stellte die Priester auf ihre Posten und stärkte sie zu ihrem Dienst im Hause des HERRN.
3Er sprach auch zu den Leviten, welche ganz Israel lehrten und die dem HERRN geheiligt waren: Tut die heilige Lade in das Haus, das Salomo, der Sohn Davids, der König Israels, gebaut hat! Ihr habt sie nicht mehr auf den Schultern zu tragen; so dienet nun dem HERRN, eurem Gott, und seinem Volk Israel!
4Und seid bereit nach euren Vaterhäusern, in euren Abteilungen, wie sie David, der König von Israel, und sein Sohn Salomo vorgeschrieben haben,
5und stellet euch im Heiligtum auf, entsprechend den Abteilungen der Stammhäuser eurer Brüder, der Volksgenossen, auch nach der Einteilung der Stammhäuser der Leviten,
6und schlachtet das Passah! Heiliget euch und bereitet zu für eure Brüder, daß sie tun nach dem Wort des HERRN durch Mose!
7Und Josia stiftete für die Volksgenossen Schafe, Lämmer und Ziegen, alles zu Passahopfern, für alle, die anwesend waren, 30000 an der Zahl; dazu 3000 Rinder, und solches von der Habe des Königs.
8Auch seine Fürsten stifteten freiwillige Gaben für das Volk, für die Priester und für die Leviten; Hilkia, Sacharja und Jechiel, die Vorsteher des Hauses Gottes, gaben den Priestern 2600 Passahlämmer, dazu 300 Rinder.
9Und Kananja, Semaja und Nataneel, seine Brüder, und Chaschabja, Jechiel und Josabad, die Obersten der Leviten, stifteten für die Leviten 5000 Lämmer und 500 Rinder.
10Nach diesen Vorbereitungen zum Gottesdienst traten die Priester an ihren Platz und die Leviten in ihre Abteilungen nach dem Gebot des Königs.
11Und sie schächteten das Passah; die Priester nahmen das Blut von ihren Händen und sprengten es, und die Leviten zogen den Lämmern die Haut ab.
12Und sie taten das Brandopfer beiseite, um es den Abteilungen der Stammhäuser der Volksgenossen zu geben, damit sie es dem HERRN darbrächten, wie im Buche Moses geschrieben steht. Ebenso machten sie es mit den Rindern.
13Und sie brieten das Passah am Feuer, wie es sich gebührt. Was aber geheiligt war, kochten sie in Töpfen, Kesseln und Schalen; und sie teilten es eilends unter alles Volk.
14Darnach aber bereiteten sie auch für sich und für die Priester zu. Denn die Priester, die Söhne Aarons, waren mit der Darbringung des Brandopfers und der Fettstücke bis in die Nacht beschäftigt. Darum mußten die Leviten für sich und für die Priester, die Söhne Aarons, zubereiten.
15Und die Sänger, die Söhne Asaphs, standen an ihrem Platz nach dem Gebot Davids und Asaphs und Hemans und Jedutuns, des Sehers des Königs; und die Torhüter waren an allen Toren. Sie brauchten ihren Dienst nicht zu verlassen; denn ihre Brüder, die Leviten, bereiteten für sie zu.
16Also vollzog sich an jenem Tag der ganze Dienst des HERRN in Ordnung, die Passahfeier und der Brandopferdienst auf dem Altar des HERRN, nach dem Gebot des Königs Josia.
17Also feierten die Kinder Israel, die anwesend waren, zu jener Zeit das Passah und das Fest der ungesäuerten Brote, sieben Tage lang.
18Es war aber kein derartiges Passah in Israel gefeiert worden, seit der Zeit des Propheten Samuel; und keiner der Könige von Israel hatte ein solches Passah veranstaltet, wie Josia es hielt mit den Priestern und Leviten und mit ganz Juda und mit allen, die von Israel anwesend waren, auch mit den Einwohnern von Jerusalem.
19Im achtzehnten Jahre der Regierung Josias wurde dieses Passah gefeiert.
20Nach alledem, als Josia das Haus des HERRN wieder hergestellt hatte, zog Necho, der König von Ägypten, herauf, um bei Karkemisch am Euphrat eine Schlacht zu liefern. Und Josia zog aus, ihm entgegen.
21Jener aber sandte Boten zu ihm und ließ ihm sagen: Was habe ich mit dir zu schaffen, König von Juda? Nicht wider dich komme ich heute, sondern wider ein Haus, das mit mir im Streite liegt, und Gott hat gesagt, ich solle eilen. Laß ab von deinem Widerstand gegen Gott, der mit mir ist, damit er dich nicht verderbe.
22Aber Josia wandte sein Angesicht nicht von ihm ab, sondern verkleidete sich, um mit ihm zu kämpfen, und gehorchte nicht den Worten Nechos, die aus dem Munde Gottes kamen, sondern kam, mit ihm zu streiten auf der Ebene bei Megiddo.
23Aber die Schützen trafen den König Josia. Und der König sprach zu seinen Knechten: Traget mich hinüber, denn ich bin schwer verwundet!
24Da hoben ihn seine Knechte von dem Kriegswagen auf seinen andern Wagen hinüber, den er bei sich hatte, und brachten ihn nach Jerusalem. Und er starb und ward begraben in den Gräbern seiner Väter. Und ganz Juda und Jerusalem trug Leid um Josia.
25Und Jeremia dichtete ein Klagelied auf Josia, und alle Sänger und Sängerinnen haben seitdem in ihren Klageliedern von Josia geredet, bis auf diesen Tag; und man machte sie zum Brauch in Israel. Und siehe, sie sind aufgezeichnet in den Klageliedern.
26Was aber mehr von Josia zu sagen ist und seine Frömmigkeit nach der Vorschrift des Gesetzes des HERRN
27(035-26b) und seine Geschichten, die früheren und die späteren, siehe, die sind aufgezeichnet im Buche der Könige von Israel und Juda.

1Y JOSÍAS hizo pascua á Jehová en Jerusalem, y sacrificaron la pascua á los catorce del mes primero.
2Y puso á los sacerdotes en sus empleos, y confirmólos en el ministerio de la casa de Jehová.
3Y dijo á los Levitas que enseñaban á todo Israel, y que estaban dedicados á Jehová: Poned el arca del santuario en la casa que edificó Salomón hijo de David, rey de Israel, para que no la carguéis más sobre los hombros. Ahora serviréis á Jehová vuestro Dios, y á su pueblo Israel.
4Apercibíos según las familias de vuestros padres, por vuestros órdenes, conforme á la prescripción de David rey de Israel, y de Salomón su hijo.
5Estad en el santuario según la distribución de las familias de vuestros hermanos los hijos del pueblo, y según la división de la familia de los Levitas.
6Sacrificad luego la pascua: y después de santificaros, apercibid á vuestros hermanos, para que hagan conforme á la palabra de Jehová dada por mano de Moisés.
7Y ofreció el rey Josías á los del pueblo ovejas, corderos, y cabritos de los rebaños, en número de treinta mil, y tres mil bueyes, todo para la pascua, para todos los que se hallaron presentes: esto de la hacienda del rey.
8También sus príncipes ofrecieron con liberalidad al pueblo, y á los sacerdotes y Levitas. Hilcías, Zachârías y Jehiel, príncipes de la casa de Dios, dieron á los sacerdotes para hacer la pascua dos mil seiscientas ovejas, y trescientos bueyes.
9Asimismo Chônanías, y Semeías y Nathanael sus hermanos, y Hasabías, Jehiel, y Josabad, príncipes de los Levitas, dieron á los Levitas para los sacrificios de la pascua cinco mil ovejas, y quinientos bueyes.
10Aprestado así el servicio, los sacerdotes se colocaron en sus puestos, y asimismo los Levitas en sus órdenes, conforme al mandamiento del rey.
11Y sacrificaron la pascua; y esparcían los sacerdotes la sangre tomada de mano de los Levitas, y los Levitas desollaban.
12Tomaron luego del holocausto, para dar conforme á los repartimientos por las familias de los del pueblo, á fin de que ofreciesen á Jehová, según está escrito en el libro de Moisés: y asimismo tomaron de los bueyes.
13Y asaron la pascua al fuego según la costumbre: mas lo que había sido santificado lo cocieron en ollas, en calderos, y calderas, y repartiéronlo prestamente á todo el pueblo.
14Y después aderezaron para sí y para los sacerdotes; porque los sacerdotes, hijos de Aarón, estuvieron ocupados hasta la noche en el sacrificio de los holocaustos y de los sebos; por tanto, los Levitas aderezaron para sí, y para los sacerdotes hijos de Aarón.
15Asimismo los cantores hijos de Asaph estaban en su puesto, conforme al mandamiento de David, de Asaph y de Hemán, y de Jeduthún vidente del rey; también los porteros estaban á cada puerta; y no era menester que se apartasen de su ministerio, porque sus hermanos los Levitas aparejaban para ellos.
16Así fué aprestado todo el servicio de Jehová en aquel día, para hacer la pascua, y sacrificar los holocaustos sobre el altar de Jehová, conforme al mandamiento del rey Josías.
17Y los hijos de Israel que se hallaron allí, hicieron la pascua en aquel tiempo, y la solemnidad de los panes sin levadura, por siete días.
18Nunca tal pascua fué hecha en Israel desde los días de Samuel el profeta; ni ningún rey de Israel hizo pascua tal como la que hizo el rey Josías, y los sacerdotes y Levitas, y todo Judá é Israel, los que se hallaron allí, juntamente con los moradores de Jerusalem.
19Esta pascua fué celebrada en el año dieciocho del rey Josías.
20Después de todas estas cosas, luego de haber Josías preparado la casa, Nechâo rey de Egipto subió á hacer guerra en Carchêmis junto á Eufrates; y salió Josías contra él.
21Y él le envió embajadores, diciendo: ¿Qué tenemos yo y tú, rey de Judá? Yo no vengo contra ti hoy, sino contra la casa que me hace guerra: y Dios dijo que me apresurase. Déjate de meterte con Dios, que es conmigo, no te destruya.
22Mas Josías no volvió su rostro de él, antes disfrazóse para darle batalla, y no atendió á las palabras de Nechâo, que eran de boca de Dios; y vino á darle la batalla en el campo de Megiddo.
23Y los archeros tiraron al rey Josías flechas; y dijo el rey á sus siervos: Quitadme de aquí, porque estoy herido gravemente.
24Entonces sus siervos lo quitaron de aquel carro, y pusiéronle en otro segundo carro que tenía, y lleváronle á Jerusalem, y murió; y sepultáronle en los sepulcros de sus padres. Y todo Judá y Jerusalem hizo duelo por Josías.
25Y endechó Jeremías por Josías, y todos los cantores y cantoras recitan sus lamentaciones sobre Josías hasta hoy; y las dieron por norma para endechar en Israel, las cuales están escritas en las Lamentaciones.
26Lo demás de los hechos de Josías, y sus piadosas obras, conforme á lo que está escrito en la ley de Jehová,
27Y sus hechos, primeros y postreros, he aquí está escrito en el libro de los reyes de Israel y de Judá.

1Moreover Josiah kept a passover unto the LORD in Jerusalem: and they killed the passover on the fourteenth day of the first month.
2And he set the priests in their charges, and encouraged them to the service of the house of the LORD,
3And said unto the Levites that taught all Israel, which were holy unto the LORD, Put the holy ark in the house which Solomon the son of David king of Israel did build; it shall not be a burden upon your shoulders: serve now the LORD your God, and his people Israel,
4And prepare yourselves by the houses of your fathers, after your courses, according to the writing of David king of Israel, and according to the writing of Solomon his son.
5And stand in the holy place according to the divisions of the families of the fathers of your brethren the people, and after the division of the families of the Levites.
6So kill the passover, and sanctify yourselves, and prepare your brethren, that they may do according to the word of the LORD by the hand of Moses.
7And Josiah gave to the people, of the flock, lambs and kids, all for the passover offerings, for all that were present, to the number of thirty thousand, and three thousand bullocks: these were of the king’s substance.
8And his princes gave willingly unto the people, to the priests, and to the Levites: Hilkiah and Zechariah and Jehiel, rulers of the house of God, gave unto the priests for the passover offerings two thousand and six hundred small cattle, and three hundred oxen.
9Conaniah also, and Shemaiah and Nethaneel, his brethren, and Hashabiah and Jeiel and Jozabad, chief of the Levites, gave unto the Levites for passover offerings five thousand small cattle, and five hundred oxen.
10So the service was prepared, and the priests stood in their place, and the Levites in their courses, according to the king’s commandment.
11And they killed the passover, and the priests sprinkled the blood from their hands, and the Levites flayed them.
12And they removed the burnt offerings, that they might give according to the divisions of the families of the people, to offer unto the LORD, as it is written in the book of Moses. And so did they with the oxen.
13And they roasted the passover with fire according to the ordinance: but the other holy offerings sod they in pots, and in caldrons, and in pans, and divided them speedily among all the people.
14And afterward they made ready for themselves, and for the priests: because the priests the sons of Aaron were busied in offering of burnt offerings and the fat until night; therefore the Levites prepared for themselves, and for the priests the sons of Aaron.
15And the singers the sons of Asaph were in their place, according to the commandment of David, and Asaph, and Heman, and Jeduthun the king’s seer; and the porters waited at every gate; they might not depart from their service; for their brethren the Levites prepared for them.
16So all the service of the LORD was prepared the same day, to keep the passover, and to offer burnt offerings upon the altar of the LORD, according to the commandment of king Josiah.
17And the children of Israel that were present kept the passover at that time, and the feast of unleavened bread seven days.
18And there was no passover like to that kept in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet; neither did all the kings of Israel keep such a passover as Josiah kept, and the priests, and the Levites, and all Judah and Israel that were present, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
19In the eighteenth year of the reign of Josiah was this passover kept.
20After all this, when Josiah had prepared the temple, Necho king of Egypt came up to fight against Carchemish by Euphrates: and Josiah went out against him.
21But he sent ambassadors to him, saying, What have I to do with thee, thou king of Judah? I come not against thee this day, but against the house wherewith I have war: for God commanded me to make haste: forbear thee from meddling with God, who is with me, that he destroy thee not.
22Nevertheless Josiah would not turn his face from him, but disguised himself, that he might fight with him, and hearkened not unto the words of Necho from the mouth of God, and came to fight in the valley of Megiddo.
23And the archers shot at king Josiah; and the king said to his servants, Have me away; for I am sore wounded.
24His servants therefore took him out of that chariot, and put him in the second chariot that he had; and they brought him to Jerusalem, and he died, and was buried in one of the sepulchres of his fathers. And all Judah and Jerusalem mourned for Josiah.
25And Jeremiah lamented for Josiah: and all the singing men and the singing women spake of Josiah in their lamentations to this day, and made them an ordinance in Israel: and, behold, they are written in the lamentations.
26Now the rest of the acts of Josiah, and his goodness, according to that which was written in the law of the LORD,
27And his deeds, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.

1Josiah kept a Passover to the LORD in Jerusalem. They killed the Passover on the fourteenth day of the first month.
2He set the priests in their offices and encouraged them in the service of the LORD’s house.
3He said to the Levites who taught all Israel, who were holy to the LORD, “Put the holy ark in the house which Solomon the son of David king of Israel built. It will no longer be a burden on your shoulders. Now serve the LORD your God and his people Israel.
4Prepare yourselves after your fathers’ houses by your divisions, according to the writing of David king of Israel, and according to the writing of Solomon his son.
5Stand in the holy place according to the divisions of the fathers’ houses of your brothers the children of the people, and let there be for each a portion of a fathers’ house of the Levites.
6Kill the Passover lamb, sanctify yourselves, and prepare for your brothers, to do according to the LORD’s word by Moses.”
7Josiah gave to the children of the people, of the flock, lambs and young goats, all of them for the Passover offerings, to all who were present, to the number of thirty thousand, and three thousand bulls. These were of the king’s substance.
8His princes gave a free will offering to the people, to the priests, and to the Levites. Hilkiah, Zechariah, and Jehiel, the rulers of God’s house, gave to the priests for the Passover offerings two thousand six hundred small livestock, and three hundred head of cattle.
