5Da überlieferte ihn Jahwe, sein Gott, in die Gewalt des Königs der Aramäer; die brachten ihm eine Niederlage bei, nahmen eine große Menge der Seinen gefangen und führten sie nach Damaskus. Dazu wurde er auch der Gewalt des Königs von Israel überliefert, und auch dieser brachte ihm eine große Niederlage bei.

5Por lo cual Jehová su Dios lo entregó en manos del rey de los Siros, los cuales le derrotaron, y cogieron de él una grande presa, que llevaron á Damasco. Fué también entregado en manos del rey de Israel, el cual lo batió con gran mortandad.

5Wherefore the LORD his God delivered him into the hand of the king of Syria; and they smote him, and carried away a great multitude of them captives, and brought them to Damascus. And he was also delivered into the hand of the king of Israel, who smote him with a great slaughter.
