Bien que Achaz eût dépouillé le Temple de l'Éternel et le palais du roi et des Grands pour payer le roi d'Assyrie, cela ne lui servit de rien.

Aunque despojó Achâz la casa de Jehová, y la casa real, y las de los príncipes, para dar al rey de los Asirios, con todo eso él no le ayudó.

For Ahaz took away a portion out of the house of the LORD, and out of the house of the king, and of the princes, and gave it unto the king of Assyria: but he helped him not.
