11Aconteceu que, sempre que traziam o baú aos oficiais do rei pela mão dos levitas, e sempre que viam que havia muito dinheiro nele, o escriba do rei e o oficial do sumo sacerdote vinham e esvaziavam o baú, e o levavam de volta ao seu lugar. Fizeram isso dia após dia, juntando uma grande quantidade de dinheiro.

11Y como venía el tiempo para llevar el arca al magistrado del rey por mano de los Levitas, cuando veían que había mucho dinero, venía el escriba del rey, y el que estaba puesto por el sumo sacerdote, y llevaban el arca, y vaciábanla, y volvíanla á su lugar: y así lo hacían de día en día, y recogían mucho dinero;

11Now it came to pass, that at what time the chest was brought unto the king’s office by the hand of the Levites, and when they saw that there was much money, the king’s scribe and the high priest’s officer came and emptied the chest, and took it, and carried it to his place again. Thus they did day by day, and gathered money in abundance.
