7Aber der HERR wollte das Haus Davids nicht untergehen lassen um des Bundes willen, den er mit David geschlossen, und weil er ihm ja verheißen hatte, daß er ihm †und seinen Nachkommen allezeit eine Leuchte vor seinem Angesicht verleihen wolle.

7Howbeit the LORD would not destroy the house of David, because of the covenant that he had made with David, and as he promised to give a light to him and to his sons for ever.
