Josaphat adunque fu molto ricco, e famoso, e contrasse parentela con Achab.

TENÍA pues Josaphat riquezas y gloria en abundancia, y trabó parentesco con Achâb.

Now Jehoshaphat had riches and honour in abundance, and joined affinity with Ahab.

Now Jehoshaphat had riches and honor in abundance; and he allied himself with Ahab.

E di lì a qualche anno andò a trovarlo in Samaria: e al suo arrivo Achab fece uccidere degli arieti, e de' bovi in gran numero per lui, e per la gente, che era con lui: e lo indusse ad andar seco a Ramoth di Galaad.

Y después de algunos años descendió á Achâb á Samaria; por lo que mató Achâb muchas ovejas y bueyes para él, y para la gente que con él venía: y persuadióle que fuese con él á Ramoth de Galaad.

And after certain years he went down to Ahab to Samaria. And Ahab killed sheep and oxen for him in abundance, and for the people that he had with him, and persuaded him to go up with him to Ramoth-gilead.

After some years, he went down to Ahab to Samaria. Ahab killed sheep and cattle for him in abundance, and for the people who were with him, and moved him to go up with him to Ramoth Gilead.

E disse Achab re d'Israele a Josaphat re di Giuda: Vieni meco a Ramoth di Galaad. E questi gli rispose: Io, e tu siamo una stessa cosa: e il tuo popolo, e il mio popolo saranno una stessa cosa, e verremo con te alla guerra.

Y dijo Achâb rey de Israel á Josaphat rey de Judá: ¿Quieres venir conmigo á Ramoth de Galaad? Y él respondió: Como yo, así también tú; y como tu pueblo, así también mi pueblo: iremos contigo á la guerra.

And Ahab king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat king of Judah, Wilt thou go with me to Ramoth-gilead? And he answered him, I am as thou art, and my people as thy people; and we will be with thee in the war.

Ahab king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat king of Judah, “Will you go with me to Ramoth Gilead?” He answered him, “I am as you are, and my people as your people. We will be with you in the war.”

E Josaphat disse al re d'Israele: Di grazia, domanda un po' adesso quel, che dica il Signore.

Además dijo Josaphat al rey de Israel: Ruégote que consultes hoy la palabra de Jehová.

And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel, Enquire, I pray thee, at the word of the LORD to day.

Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, “Please inquire first for the LORD’s word.”

E il re d'Israele radunò quattrocento profeti, e disse loro: Dobbiam noi muover guerra a Ramoth di Galaad, ovvero starsene in riposo? E quelli dissero: Va, il Signore ne darà il dominio al re.

Entonces el rey de Israel juntó cuatrocientos profetas, y díjoles: ¿Iremos á la guerra contra Ramoth de Galaad, ó estaréme yo quieto? Y ellos dijeron: Sube, que Dios los entregará en mano del rey.

Therefore the king of Israel gathered together of prophets four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall we go to Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for God will deliver it into the king’s hand.

Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, four hundred men, and said to them, “Shall we go to Ramoth Gilead to battle, or shall I forbear?” They said, “Go up, for God will deliver it into the hand of the king.”

E Josaphat disse: Non v'ha egli qua nissun profeta del Signore, cui noi possiamo interrogare?

Mas Josaphat dijo: ¿Hay aún aquí algún profeta de Jehová, para que por él preguntemos?

But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the LORD besides, that we might enquire of him?

But Jehoshaphat said, “Isn’t there here a prophet of the LORD besides, that we may inquire of him?”

E il re d'Israele disse a Josaphat: Havvi un uomo, a cui noi potremmo domandare qual sia il volere del Signore; ma io lo ho in ira, perchè sempre mi profetizza non del bene, ma del male: egli è Michea figliuolo di Jemla. E Josaphat disse: Non parlare, o re, in tal guisa.

Y el rey de Israel respondió á Josaphat: Aun hay aquí un hombre por el cual podemos preguntar á Jehová: mas yo le aborrezco, porque nunca me profetiza cosa buena, sino siempre mal. Este es Michêas, hijo de Imla. Y respondió Josaphat: No hable así el rey.

And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, by whom we may enquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he never prophesied good unto me, but always evil: the same is Micaiah the son of Imla. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.

The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of the LORD; but I hate him, for he never prophesies good concerning me, but always evil. He is Micaiah the son of Imla.” Jehoshaphat said, “Don’t let the king say so.”

Chiamò pertanto il re d'Israele uno degli eunuchi, e gli disse: Chiamami subito Michea figliuolo di Jemla.

Entonces el rey de Israel llamó un eunuco, y díjole: Haz venir luego á Michêas hijo de Imla.

And the king of Israel called for one of his officers, and said, Fetch quickly Micaiah the son of Imla.

Then the king of Israel called an officer, and said, “Get Micaiah the son of Imla quickly.”

Or il re d'Israele, e Josaphat re di Giuda si stavano l'uno, e l'altro sul loro trono vestiti alla reale: ed erano sulla piazza vicino alla porta di Samaria, e tutti que' profeti profetizzavano dinanzi a loro.

Y el rey de Israel y Josaphat rey de Judá, estaban sentados cada uno en su trono, vestidos de sus ropas; y estaban sentados en la era á la entrada de la puerta de Samaria, y todos los profetas profetizaban delante de ellos.

And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah sat either of them on his throne, clothed in their robes, and they sat in a void place at the entering in of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets prophesied before them.

Now the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah each sat on his throne, arrayed in their robes, and they were sitting in an open place at the entrance of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets were prophesying before them.

Ma Sedecia figliuolo di Chanaana si fece delle corna di ferro, e disse: Queste cose dice il Signore: Con queste tu getterai in aria la Siria, e finalmente la calpesterai.

Y Sedechîas hijo de Chênaana se había hecho cuernos de hierro, y decía: Así ha dicho Jehová: Con estos acornearás á los Siros hasta destruirlos del todo.

And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah had made him horns of iron, and said, Thus saith the LORD, With these thou shalt push Syria until they be consumed.

Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made himself horns of iron and said, “The LORD says, ‘With these you shall push the Syrians, until they are consumed.’”

E tutti que' profeti profetizzavano nella stessa guisa, e dicevano: Vanne a Ramoth di Galaad, e avrai ottimo evento, e il Signore faranne padrone il re.

De esta manera profetizaban también todos los profetas, diciendo: Sube á Ramoth de Galaad, y sé prosperado; porque Jehová la entregará en mano del rey.

And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramoth-gilead, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver it into the hand of the king.

All the prophets prophesied so, saying, “Go up to Ramoth Gilead, and prosper; for the LORD will deliver it into the hand of the king.”

Or colui, che era stato mandato ad avvisare Michea, gli disse: Sappi, che tutti a una bocca i profeti annunziano prosperi successi al re: fa adunque, ti prego? che le tue parole non di scordino dalle loro, e annunzia buone nuove.

Y el mensajero que había ido á llamar á Michêas, le habló, diciendo: He aquí las palabras de los profetas á una boca anuncian al rey bienes; yo pues te ruego que tu palabra sea como la de uno de ellos, que hables bien.

And the messenger that went to call Micaiah spake to him, saying, Behold, the words of the prophets declare good to the king with one assent; let thy word therefore, I pray thee, be like one of theirs, and speak thou good.

The messenger who went to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying, “Behold, the words of the prophets declare good to the king with one mouth. Let your word therefore, please be like one of theirs, and speak good.”

Ma gli rispose Michea: Viva il Signore: io dirò tutto quello, che dirà a me il mio Dio.

Y dijo Michêas: Vive Jehová, que lo que mi Dios me dijere, eso hablaré. Y vino al rey.

And Micaiah said, As the LORD liveth, even what my God saith, that will I speak.

Micaiah said, “As the LORD lives, I will say what my God says.”

Egli adunque si presentò al re. E il re gli disse: Michea, dobbiam noi muover guerra contro Ramoth di Galaad, ovvero stare in riposo? Ed ei gli rispose: Andate: perchè tutto vi riuscirà felicemente, e saran dati i nemici nelle vostre mani.

Y el rey le dijo: Michêas, ¿iremos á pelear contra Ramoth de Galaad, ó estaréme yo quieto? Y él respondió: Subid, que seréis prosperados, que serán entregados en vuestras manos.

And when he was come to the king, the king said unto him, Micaiah, shall we go to Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And he said, Go ye up, and prosper, and they shall be delivered into your hand.

When he had come to the king, the king said to him, “Micaiah, shall we go to Ramoth Gilead to battle, or shall I forbear?” He said, “Go up, and prosper. They shall be delivered into your hand.”

Ma il re gli disse: Ti scongiuro una, e due vo]te pel nome del Signore, che tu non mi dica se non la verità.

Y el rey le dijo: ¿Hasta cuántas veces te conjuraré por el nombre de Jehová que no me hables sino la verdad?

And the king said to him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou say nothing but the truth to me in the name of the LORD?

The king said to him, “How many times shall I adjure you that you speak to me nothing but the truth in the LORD’s name?”

Ed egli disse: Ho veduto tutto quanto Israele disperso pei monti, come pecore senza pastore: e il Signore ha eletto: Costoro non hanno chi li governi: se ne torni ciascun di loro in pace a casa sua.

Entonces él dijo: He visto á todo Israel derramado por los montes como ovejas sin pastor: y dijo Jehová: Estos no tienen señor; vuélvase cada uno en paz á su casa.

Then he said, I did see all Israel scattered upon the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd: and the LORD said, These have no master; let them return therefore every man to his house in peace.

He said, “I saw all Israel scattered on the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd. The LORD said, ‘These have no master. Let them each return to his house in peace.’”

Ma il re d'Israele disse a Josaphat: Non te l'ho io detto, che costui non avrebbe profetizzato a me niente di bene, ma si del male?

Y el rey de Israel dijo á Josaphat: ¿No te había yo dicho que no me profetizaría bien, sino mal?

And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he would not prophesy good unto me, but evil?

The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “Didn’t I tell you that he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?”

Ma Michea disse: Udite adunque voi la parola del Signore: io ho veduto il Signore assiso sul suo trono, e tutte le milizie del cielo, che lo circondavano a destra, e a sinistra.

Entonces él dijo: Oid pues palabra de Jehová: Yo he visto á Jehová sentado en su trono, y todo el ejército de los cielos estaba á su mano derecha y á su izquierda.

Again he said, Therefore hear the word of the LORD; I saw the LORD sitting upon his throne, and all the host of heaven standing on his right hand and on his left.

Micaiah said, “Therefore hear the LORD’s word: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the army of heaven standing on his right hand and on his left.

E il Signore ha detto: Chi ingannerà Achab re d'Israele affinchè egli si muova contro Ramoth di Galaad, e vi muoia? E dicendo chi una cosa, e chi un'altra.

Y Jehová dijo: ¿Quién inducirá á Achâb rey de Israel, para que suba y caiga en Ramoth de Galaad? Y uno decía así, y otro decía de otra manera.

And the LORD said, Who shall entice Ahab king of Israel, that he may go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead? And one spake saying after this manner, and another saying after that manner.

The LORD said, ‘Who will entice Ahab king of Israel, that he may go up and fall at Ramoth Gilead?’ One spoke saying in this way, and another saying in that way.

Lo spirito si è fatto avanti, e si è presentato al Signore, e ha detto; Son qui io, che lo ingannerò. E il Signore disse a lui: Come lo ingannerai tu?

Mas salió un espíritu, que se puso delante de Jehová, y dijo: Yo le induciré. Y Jehová le dijo: ¿De qué modo?

Then there came out a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will entice him. And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith?

A spirit came out, stood before the LORD, and said, ‘I will entice him.’ “The LORD said to him, ‘How?’

Ed egli rispose: Anderò, e sarò spirito mentitore nella bocca di tutti i suoi profeti. E il Signore ha detto: Lo ingannerai, e riuscirai: vattene, e fa così.

Y él dijo: Saldré y seré espíritu de mentira en la boca de todos sus profetas. Y Jehová dijo: Incita, y también prevalece: sal, y hazlo así.

And he said, I will go out, and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And the Lord said, Thou shalt entice him, and thou shalt also prevail: go out, and do even so.

“He said, ‘I will go, and will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ “He said, ‘You will entice him, and will prevail also. Go and do so.’

Il Signore adunque ha posto, come tu vedi, lo spirito di menzogna nella bocca di tutti i tuoi profeti, e il Signore stesso ha pronunziate sciagure contro di te.

Y he aquí ahora ha puesto Jehová espíritu de mentira en la boca de estos tus profetas; mas Jehová ha decretado el mal acerca de ti.

Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil against thee.

“Now therefore, behold, the LORD has put a lying spirit in the mouth of these your prophets; and the LORD has spoken evil concerning you.”

Allora Sedecia figliuolo di Chanaana si appressò, e diede uno schiaffo a Michea, e disse: Quale strada ha preso lo Spirito del Signore per andarsene da me, e venire a parlarti?

Entonces Sedechîas hijo de Chênaana se llegó á él, é hirió á Michêas en la mejilla, y dijo: ¿Por qué camino se apartó de mí el espíritu de Jehová para hablarte á ti?

Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and smote Micaiah upon the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of the LORD from me to speak unto thee?

Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and struck Micaiah on the cheek, and said, “Which way did the LORD’s Spirit go from me to speak to you?”

E Michea disse: Te ne avvedrai tu stesso in quel giorno, quando ti ritirerai d'una in altra stanza per nasconderti.

Y Michêas respondió: He aquí tú lo verás aquel día, cuando te entrarás de cámara en cámara para esconderte.

And Micaiah said, Behold, thou shalt see on that day when thou shalt go into an inner chamber to hide thyself.

Micaiah said, “Behold, you shall see on that day, when you go into an inner room to hide yourself.”

Ma il re d'Israele comandò, e disse: Prendete Michea, e menatelo ad Amon governatore della città, e a Gioas figliuolo di Amalech:

Entonces el rey de Israel dijo: Tomad á Michêas, y volvedlo á Amón gobernador de la ciudad, y á Joas hijo del rey.

Then the king of Israel said, Take ye Micaiah, and carry him back to Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king’s son;

The king of Israel said, “Take Micaiah, and carry him back to Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king’s son;

E direte loro; Queste cose dice il re: Mettetelo in prigione, e dategli un po' di pane, e un poco di acqua, sino al mio felice ritorno

Y diréis: El rey ha dicho así: Poned á éste en la cárcel, y sustentadle con pan de aflicción y agua de angustia, hasta que yo vuelva en paz.

And say, Thus saith the king, Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I return in peace.

and say, ‘The king says, “Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I return in peace.”’”

E Michea disse: Se tu tornerai felicemente, non sarà vero che il Signore abbia parlato per bocca mia. E soggiunse: Popoli tutti avete inteso.

Y Michêas dijo: Si tú volvieres en paz, Jehová no ha hablado por mí. Dijo además: Oidlo, pueblos todos.

And Micaiah said, If thou certainly return in peace, then hath not the LORD spoken by me. And he said, Hearken, all ye people.

Micaiah said, “If you return at all in peace, the LORD has not spoken by me.” He said, “Listen, you people, all of you!”

Si mossero adunque il re d'Israele, e Josaphat re di Giuda contro Ramoth di Galaad.

Subió pues el rey de Israel, y Josaphat rey de Judá, á Ramoth de Galaad.

So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramoth-gilead.

So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramoth Gilead.

E il re d'Israele disse a Josaphat: Io cambierò il mio abito, e così entrerò in battaglia: tu poi porta le tue vesti. E cangiate le vesti il re d'Israele, entrò in battaglia.

Y dijo el rey de Israel á Josaphat: Yo me disfrazaré para entrar en la batalla: mas tú vístete tus vestidos. Y disfrazóse el rey de Israel, y entró en la batalla.

And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself, and will go to the battle; but put thou on thy robes. So the king of Israel disguised himself; and they went to the battle.

The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “I will disguise myself, and go into the battle; but you put on your robes.” So the king of Israel disguised himself; and they went into the battle.

Or il re di Siria avea comandato ai capitani della sua cavalleria: Non vi azzuffate con veruno o grande, o piccolo, ma col solo re d'Israele.

Había el rey de Siria mandado á los capitanes de los carros que tenía consigo, diciendo: No peleéis con chico ni con grande, sino sólo con el rey de Israel.

Now the king of Syria had commanded the captains of the chariots that were with him, saying, Fight ye not with small or great, save only with the king of Israel.

Now the king of Syria had commanded the captains of his chariots, saying, “Don’t fight with small nor great, except only with the king of Israel.”

Per la qual cosa i capitani della cavalleria, veduto Josaphat, dissero: Egli è il re d'Israele. E circondatolo lo assalirono: ed egli invocò gridando il Signore, il quale lo soccorse, e allontanò coloro da lui.

Y como los capitanes de los carros vieron á Josaphat, dijeron: Este es el rey de Israel. Y cercáronlo para pelear; mas Josaphat clamó, y ayudólo Jehová, y apartólos Dios de él:

And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, It is the king of Israel. Therefore they compassed about him to fight: but Jehoshaphat cried out, and the LORD helped him; and God moved them to depart from him.

When the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, they said, “It is the king of Israel!” Therefore they turned around to fight against him. But Jehoshaphat cried out, and the LORD helped him; and God moved them to depart from him.

Perocché avendo conosciuto i capitani della cavalleria, com'ei non era il re d'Israele, lo lasciarono stare.

Pues viendo los capitanes de los carros que no era el rey de Israel, desistieron de acosarle.

For it came to pass, that, when the captains of the chariots perceived that it was not the king of Israel, they turned back again from pursuing him.

When the captains of the chariots saw that it was not the king of Israel, they turned back from pursuing him.

Or egli avvenne, che uno della turba tirò a caso una freccia, e ferì il re d'Israele tra i collo, e le spalle: ond'egli disse al suo cocchiere: Volgiti in dietro, e menami fuora della battaglia, perchè io son ferito.

Mas disparando uno el arco á la ventura, hirió al rey de Israel entre las junturas y el coselete. El entonces dijo al carretero: Vuelve tu mano, y sácame del campo, porque estoy mal herido.

And a certain man drew a bow at a venture, and smote the king of Israel between the joints of the harness: therefore he said to his chariot man, Turn thine hand, that thou mayest carry me out of the host; for I am wounded.

A certain man drew his bow at random, and struck the king of Israel between the joints of the armor. Therefore he said to the driver of the chariot, “Turn around and carry me out of the battle, for I am severely wounded.”

E finì in quel giorno la guerra. Ora il re d'Israele si stette sul suo cocchio fino alla sera in vista de' Siri; e sul tramontare del sole morì. Josaphat è riconvenuto dal profeta Jehu per aver dato aiuto ad Achab. Egli ammonisce i suoi giudici ad osservare la giustizia, e i Leviti a promuovere il culto di Dio, e istruire diligentemente il popolo.

Y arreció la batalla aquel día, por lo que estuvo el rey de Israel en pie en el carro enfrente de los Siros hasta la tarde; mas murió á puestas del sol.

And the battle increased that day: howbeit the king of Israel stayed himself up in his chariot against the Syrians until the even: and about the time of the sun going down he died.

The battle increased that day. However, the king of Israel propped himself up in his chariot against the Syrians until the evening; and at about sunset, he died.
