16Ja, er setzte sogar Maacha, die Mutter des Königs Asa, von der Würde als Herrin ab, weil sie der Aschera ein Schandbild angefertigt hatte. Und Asa hieb ihr Schandbild um, zermalmte es und verbrannte es im Kidronthale.

16And also concerning Maachah the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove: and Asa cut down her idol, and stamped it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.

16Also Maacah, the mother of Asa the king, he removed from being queen mother, because she had made an abominable image for an Asherah; so Asa cut down her image, ground it into dust, and burned it at the brook Kidron.
