16Y aun en cuanto a Maaca, madre del rey Asa, él mismo la quitó de ser reina, porque ella había hecho una imagen de Asera; y Asa deshizo la imagen y la desmenuzó, y la quemó junto al torrente de Cedrón.

16And also concerning Maachah the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove: and Asa cut down her idol, and stamped it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.

16Also Maacah, the mother of Asa the king, he removed from being queen mother, because she had made an abominable image for an Asherah; so Asa cut down her image, ground it into dust, and burned it at the brook Kidron.
