13O rei Roboão firmou-se no poder em Jerusalém. Ele tinha quarenta e um anos de idade quando começou a reinar e reinou dezessete anos em Jerusalém, a cidade que o Senhor havia escolhido dentre todas as tribos de Israel para ali manifestar a sua presença. A mãe dele era uma amonita e se chamava Naamá.

13Fortificado pues Roboam, reinó en Jerusalem: y era Roboam de cuarenta y un años cuando comenzó á reinar, y diecisiete años reinó en Jerusalem, ciudad que escogió Jehová de todas las tribus de Israel, para poner en ella su nombre. Y el nombre de su madre fué Naama Ammonita.

13So king Rehoboam strengthened himself in Jerusalem, and reigned: for Rehoboam was one and forty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which the LORD had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there.
