1 Timoteo 6

Tutti coloro, che sono sotto al giogo di servitù, stimino meritevoli di ogni onore i loro padroni, affinchè il nome, e la dottrina del Signore non sia bestemmiata.

TODOS los que están debajo del yugo de servidumbre, tengan á sus señores por dignos de toda honra, porque no sea blasfemado el nombre del Señor y la doctrina.

Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed.

And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.

Se alcuno insegna diversamente, e non si acquieta alle sane parole del Signor nostro Gesù Cristo, e alla dottrina, che è conforme alla pietà:

Si alguno enseña otra cosa, y no asiente á sanas palabras de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, y á la doctrina que es conforme á la piedad;

If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;

If anyone teaches a different doctrine and doesn’t consent to sound words, the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness,

Egli è un superbo, che non sa nulla, ma si ammala per dispute, e quistioni di parole: dalle quali nascono invidie, contese, maldicenze, cattivi sospetti,

Es hinchado, nada sabe, y enloquece acerca de cuestiones y contiendas de palabras, de las cuales nacen envidias, pleitos, maledicencias, malas sospechas,

He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,

he is conceited, knowing nothing, but obsessed with arguments, disputes, and word battles, from which come envy, strife, insulting, evil suspicions,

Conflitti di uomini corrotti nell'animo, i quali sono stati privati della verità, i quali si pensano, che la pietà sia un'arte per guadagnare.

Porfías de hombres corruptos de entendimiento y privados de la verdad, que tienen la piedad por granjería: apártate de los tales.

Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

constant friction of people of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. Withdraw yourself from such.

Or ella è un gran capitale la pietà con il contentarsi di poco.

Empero grande granjería es la piedad con contentamiento.

Imperocché nulla abbiam portato in questo mondo: e non vi ha dubbio, che nulla ne possiam portar via.

Ma avendo gli alimenti, e di che coprirci, contentiamoci di questo.

Así que, teniendo sustento y con qué cubrirnos, seamos contentos con esto.

Imperocché quelli, che vogliono arricchire, incappano nella tentazione, e nel laccio del diavolo, e in molti inutili, e nocivi desideri, i quali sommergono gli uomini nella morte, e nella perdizione.

Porque los que quieren enriquecerse, caen en tentación y lazo, y en muchas codicias locas y dañosas, que hunden á los hombres en perdición y muerte.

But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

Imperocché radice di tutti i mali è la cupidigia: per amor della quale alcuni hanno deviato dalla fede, e si sono trafitti con molti dolori.

Porque el amor del dinero es la raíz de todos los males: el cual codiciando algunos, se descaminaron de la fe, y fueron traspasados de muchos dolores.

For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Ma tu, uomo di Dio, fuggi di queste cose: ma udienti alla giustizia, alla pietà, alla fede, alla carità, alla pazienza, alla mansuetudine.

Combatti nel buon certame della fede, rapisci la vita eterna, per la quale sei stato chiamato, ed hai professata una buona professione dinanzi a molti testimoni.

Pelea la buena batalla de la fe, echa mano de la vida eterna, á la cual asimismo eres llamado, habiendo hecho buena profesión delante de muchos testigos.

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, where unto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

Ti ordino dinanzi a Dio, che di vita a tutte le cose, e a Gesù Cristo, il quale sotto Ponzio Pilato rendette testimonianza alla buona professione:

Che tu osservi questo comando immacolato, irreprensibile sino alla venuta del Signor nostro Gesù Cristo:

Que guardes el mandamiento sin mácula ni reprensión, hasta la aparición de nuestro Señor Jesucristo:

That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:

La quale farà apparire a suo tempo il beato, e il solo potente, il re de' regi, e Signore de' dominanti:

La cual á su tiempo mostrará el Bienaventurado y solo Poderoso, Rey de reyes, y Señor de señores;

Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;

which at the right time he will show, who is the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords.

Il quale solo ha l'immortalità, ed abita in una luce inaccessibile: il quale ne è stato, né può esser veduto da alcun uomo: a cui onore, ed impero sempiterno. Così sia.

Quien sólo tiene inmortalidad, que habita en luz inaccesible; á quien ninguno de los hombres ha visto ni puede ver: al cual sea la honra y el imperio sempiterno. Amén.

Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.

I ricchi di questo secolo ammoniscili, che non abbiano spiriti altieri, nè confidino nella incertezza delle ricchezze, ma in Dio vivo (il quale ci da copiosamente ogni cosa, perché ne godiamo)

A los ricos de este siglo manda que no sean altivos, ni pongan la esperanza en la incertidumbre de las riquezas, sino en el Dios vivo, que nos da todas las cosas en abundancia de que gocemos:

Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

Charge those who are rich in this present age that they not be arrogant, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy;

Che facciano del bene, diventino ricchi di buone opere, correnti nel dare, umani nel convivere,

Que hagan bien, que sean ricos en buenas obras, dadivosos, que con facilidad comuniquen;

That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

Mettendo da parte per se stessi un buon fondamento per l'avvenire, per fare acquisto della vera vita.

Atesorando para sí buen fundamento para lo por venir, que echen mano á la vida eterna.

O Timoteo, custodisci il deposito, avendo in avversione le profane novità delle parole, e le contraddizioni di quella scienza di falso nome,

Oh Timoteo, guarda lo que se te ha encomendado, evitando las profanas pláticas de vanas cosas, y los argumentos de la falsamente llamada ciencia:

O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:

Timothy, guard that which is committed to you, turning away from the empty chatter and oppositions of what is falsely called knowledge,

Della quale alcuni facendo pompa, hanno deviato dalla fede. La grazia con teco. Così sia. Rende grazie a Dio per la fede di Timoteo, la quale ordina a lui di dimostrare con predicare intrepidamente il vangelo: Cristo distrusse la morte, ed elesse Paolo maestro delle genti, e a lui serba il premio dovuto alle sue fatiche: racconta, come tutti gli Asiatici lo avevano abbandonato, e loda la famiglia di Onesiforo, dalla quale gli era stata prestata molta assistenza.

La cual profesando algunos, fueron descaminados acerca de la fe. La gracia sea contigo. Amén. La primera epístola á Timoteo fué escrita de Laodicea, que es metrópoli de la Frigia Pacatiana.
