1 Tesalonicenses 3

Per la qual cosa non potendo noi più pazientare, abbiam creduto meglio di rimaner soli in Atene;

POR lo cual, no pudiendo esperar más, acordamos quedarnos solos en Atenas,

Wherefore when we could no longer forbear, we thought it good to be left at Athens alone;

Therefore when we couldn’t stand it any longer, we thought it good to be left behind at Athens alone,

E abbiamo mandato Timoteo nostro fratello, e ministro di Dio nel vangelo di Cristo, per confermarvi, e consolarvi nella vostra fede:

Y enviamos á Timoteo, nuestro hermano, y ministro de Dios, y colaborador nuestro en el evangelio de Cristo, á confirmaros y exhortaros en vuestra fe,

And sent Timotheus, our brother, and minister of God, and our fellowlabourer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith:

and sent Timothy, our brother and God’s servant in the Good News of Christ, to establish you and to comfort you concerning your faith,

Affinchè nissuno si conturbi per queste tribolazioni: imperocché voi stessi sapete, che a questo siam destinati.

Para que nadie se conmueva por estas tribulaciones; porque vosotros sabéis que nosotros somos puestos para esto.

That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto.

that no one would be moved by these afflictions. For you know that we are appointed to this task.

Imperocché anche quando eravamo con voi, vi predicevamo, che noi avremmo sofferte tribolazioni, com' anche avvenne, e voi lo sapete.

Que aun estando con vosotros, os predecíamos que habíamos de pasar tribulaciones, como ha acontecido y sabéis.

For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know.

For most certainly, when we were with you, we told you beforehand that we are to suffer affliction, even as it happened, and you know.

Per questo ancora non potendo più tenermi, mandai a riconoscere la vostra fede: per timore, che il tentatore non vi avesse tentati, e non riuscisse vana la nostra fatica.

Por lo cual, también yo, no esperando más, he enviado á reconocer vuestra fe, no sea que os haya tentado el tentador, y que nuestro trabajo haya sido en vano.

For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain.

For this cause I also, when I couldn’t stand it any longer, sent that I might know your faith, for fear that by any means the tempter had tempted you, and our labor would have been in vain.

Adesso poi tornato a noi Timoteo da voi, e avendo a noi recata la buona nuova della fede, e carità vostra, e come avete mai sempre buona memoria di noi, e siete bramosi di vederci, come noi pure (di veder) voi:

Empero volviendo de vosotros á nosotros Timoteo, y haciéndonos saber vuestra fe y caridad, y que siempre tenéis buena memoria de nosotros, deseando vernos, como también nosotros á vosotros,

But now when Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and charity, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you:

But Timothy has just now come to us from you, and brought us glad news of your faith and love, and that you have good memories of us always, longing to see us, even as we also long to see you.

Abbiam perciò ricavato gran consolazione da voi, o fratelli, in mezzo a tutte le nostre necessità, e tribolazioni mediante la vostra fede;

En ello, hermanos, recibimos consolación de vosotros en toda nuestra necesidad y aflicción por causa de vuestra fe:

Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith:

For this cause, brothers, we were comforted over you in all our distress and affliction through your faith.

Conciossiachè se voi siete costanti nel Signore, ora si che viviamo.

Porque ahora vivimos, si vosotros estáis firmes en el Señor.

For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord.

For now we live, if you stand fast in the Lord.

Imperocché qual ringraziamento possiam noi render a Dio rispetto a voi per tutto il gaudio, che noi proviamo per causa vostra dinanzi al nostro Dio?

Por lo cual, ¿qué hacimiento de gracias podremos dar á Dios por vosotros, por todo el gozo con que nos gozamos á causa de vosotros delante de nuestro Dios,

For what thanks can we render to God again for you, for all the joy wherewith we joy for your sakes before our God;

For what thanksgiving can we give again to God for you, for all the joy with which we rejoice for your sakes before our God,

Dì, e notte lo preghiamo sempre più di vedere la vostra faccia, e di supplire a quello che manca alla vostra fede?

Orando de noche y de día con grande instancia, que veamos vuestro rostro, y que cumplamos lo que falta á vuestra fe?

Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith?

night and day praying exceedingly that we may see your face and may perfect that which is lacking in your faith?

Or lo stesso Dio, e padre nostro, e il Signor nostro Gesù Cristo indirizzi i nastri passi verso di voi.

Mas el mismo Dios y Padre nuestro, y el Señor nuestro Jesucristo, encamine nuestro viaje á vosotros.

Now God himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you.

Now may our God and Father himself, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way to you.

E faccia il Signore, che abbondiate, e sovrabbondiate di carità e tra di voi, e verso di tutti, come noi pure verso di voi:

Y á vosotros multiplique el Señor, y haga abundar el amor entre vosotros, y para con todos, como es también de nosotros para con vosotros;

And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:

May the Lord make you to increase and abound in love toward one another and toward all men, even as we also do toward you,

Onde i vostri cuori scevri di colpa siano confermati nella santità dinanzi a Dio, e padre nostro, per la venuta del Signor nostro, Gesù Cristo, con tutti i suoi santi. Così sia. Gli esorta ad osservare gl'insegnamenti, che aveva dato loro; che si astengano dalla fornicazione, e si amino scambievolmente, e lavorino colle loro mani, onde non abbiano a desiderare nulla di quel d'altrui; insegna, in qual maniera seguirà la nostra risurrezione, affinchè non si affliggano di soverchio nella morte de’ loro fratelli.

Para que sean confirmados vuestros corazones en santidad, irreprensibles delante de Dios y nuestro Padre, para la venida de nuestro Señor Jesucristo con todos sus santos.

To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.
