Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians which is in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers;

Nosotros le recordamos sin cesar, ante nuestro Dios y Padre, su obra de fe, trabajo de amor y paciencia en la confianza en un futuro en nuestro Señor Jesucristo.
Sin cesar acordándonos delante del Dios y Padre nuestro de la obra de vuestra fe, y del trabajo de amor, y de la tolerancia de la esperanza del Señor nuestro Jesucristo:
Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;
remembering without ceasing your work of faith and labor of love and perseverance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father.
Hermanos amados por Dios,
Sabiendo, hermanos amados de Dios, vuestra elección:
Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.
We know, brothers loved by God, that you are chosen,
conocemos su llamado, cómo nuestro evangelio vino a ustedes no sólo en palabra, sino también en poder, en el Espíritu Santo y con mucha certeza. De esta misma forma ustedes conocen la clase de persona que fuimos entre ustedes por el amor que le tenemos.
Por cuanto nuestro evangelio no fué á vosotros en palabra solamente, mas también en potencia, y en Espíritu Santo, y en gran plenitud; como sabéis cuáles fuimos entre vosotros por amor de vosotros.
For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.
and that our Good News came to you not in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and with much assurance. You know what kind of men we showed ourselves to be among you for your sake.
Ustedes se hicieron imitadores de nosotros y del Señor, mientras recibieron la palabra en mucha tribulación con alegría del Espíritu Santo.
Y vosotros fuisteis hechos imitadores de nosotros, y del Señor, recibiendo la palabra con mucha tribulación, con gozo del Espíritu Santo:
And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost:

Como resultado, ustedes se convirtieron en ejemplo para todos los creyentes en Macedonia y Acaya.
En tal manera que habéis sido ejemplo á todos los que han creído en Macedonia y en Acaya.
So that ye were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia.
so that you became an example to all who believe in Macedonia and in Achaia.
Porque saliendo de ustedes, la palabra del Señor se ha escuchado, y no solo en Macedonia y en Acaya, sino en todo lugar su fe en Dios se ha esparcido. Como resultado, ya nosotros no necesitamos decir nada.
Porque de vosotros ha sido divulgada la palabra del Señor no sólo en Macedonia y en Acaya, mas aun en todo lugar vuestra fe en Dios se ha extendido; de modo que no tenemos necesidad de hablar nada.
For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing.
For from you the word of the Lord has been declared, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God has gone out, so that we need not say anything.
Porque ellos mismos cuentan, la clase de recibimiento que tuvimos de ustedes. Ellos cuentan cómo ustedes cambiaron de los ídolos a Dios, para servir al Dios vivo y verdadero.
Porque ellos cuentan de nosotros cuál entrada tuvimos á vosotros; y cómo os convertisteis de los ídolos á Dios, para servir al Dios vivo y verdadero,
For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;
For they themselves report concerning us what kind of a reception we had from you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve a living and true God,
Ellos informan que ustedes esperan a su Hijo desde el cielo, a quien Él levantó desde los muertos. Este es Jesús, quien nos libra de la ira que está por venir.
Y esperar á su Hijo de los cielos, al cual resucitó de los muertos; á Jesús, el cual nos libró de la ira que ha de venir.
And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.
