Paolo, e Silvano, e Timoteo, alla Chiesa de' Tessalonicesi, in Dio Padre, e nel Signor Gesù Cristo.

PABLO, y Silvano, y Timoteo, á la iglesia de los Tesalonicenses que es en Dios Padre y en el Señor Jesucristo: Gracia y paz á vosotros de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo.

Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians which is in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, to the assembly of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Grazia a voi, e pace. Noi rendiam sempre grazie a Dio per tutti voi, facendo continuamente di voi memoria nelle nostre orazioni,

Damos siempre gracias á Dios por todos vosotros, haciendo memoria de vosotros en nuestras oraciones;

We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers;

We always give thanks to God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers,

Ricordevoli della operante fede vostra, e della laboriosa carità, e della costante speranza in Gesù Cristo Signor nostro, nel cospetto di Dio, e padre nostro:

Sin cesar acordándonos delante del Dios y Padre nuestro de la obra de vuestra fe, y del trabajo de amor, y de la tolerancia de la esperanza del Señor nuestro Jesucristo:

Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;

remembering without ceasing your work of faith and labor of love and perseverance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father.

Come quegli, che conosciamo, fratelli amati da Dio, la vostra elezione:

Sabiendo, hermanos amados de Dios, vuestra elección:

Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.

We know, brothers loved by God, that you are chosen,

Conciossiachè il nostro vangelo presso di voi, fu non nella sola parola, ma anche nella virtù, e nello Spirito santo, e in gran pienezza, come sapete, quali noi fossimo tra di voi per vostro bene.

Por cuanto nuestro evangelio no fué á vosotros en palabra solamente, mas también en potencia, y en Espíritu Santo, y en gran plenitud; como sabéis cuáles fuimos entre vosotros por amor de vosotros.

For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.

and that our Good News came to you not in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and with much assurance. You know what kind of men we showed ourselves to be among you for your sake.

E voi vi faceste imitatori di noi, e il Signore, ricevuta avendo la parola in gran tribolazione col gaudio dello Spirito santo:

Y vosotros fuisteis hechos imitadores de nosotros, y del Señor, recibiendo la palabra con mucha tribulación, con gozo del Espíritu Santo:

And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost:

You became imitators of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit,

Di modo che siete stati esempio a tutti i credenti nella Macedonia, e nell'Acaia.

En tal manera que habéis sido ejemplo á todos los que han creído en Macedonia y en Acaya.

So that ye were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia.

so that you became an example to all who believe in Macedonia and in Achaia.

Imperocché da voi si divulgò la parola di Dio non solamente per la Macedonia, e per l'Acaia, ma di più per ogni luogo si propagò la fede, che voi avete in Dio talmente che non fa di mestieri, che noi ne parliamo.

Porque de vosotros ha sido divulgada la palabra del Señor no sólo en Macedonia y en Acaya, mas aun en todo lugar vuestra fe en Dios se ha extendido; de modo que no tenemos necesidad de hablar nada.

For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing.

For from you the word of the Lord has been declared, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God has gone out, so that we need not say anything.

Imperocché eglino di noi raccontano, qual fosse la nostra entrata tra di voi, e come dagl'idoli vi convertiste a Dio, per servire a Dio vivo, e vero,

Porque ellos cuentan de nosotros cuál entrada tuvimos á vosotros; y cómo os convertisteis de los ídolos á Dios, para servir al Dios vivo y verdadero,

For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;

For they themselves report concerning us what kind of a reception we had from you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve a living and true God,

E per aspettare il Figliuolo di lui dal cielo (cui egli risuscitò da morte) Gesù, il quale ci sottrasse all'ira, che è per venire. Dimostra la sua sincerità nel predicare ad essi il vangelo, e rende a Dio grazie, perchè avevano conservato con sollecitudine la parola di Dio ricevuta, avendo avuto molto da patire da loro nazionali, come le Chiese della Giudea da' Giudei, i quali con Cristo perseguitano tutti i buoni: spiega ancora, quanto ardentemente gli ami.

Y esperar á su Hijo de los cielos, al cual resucitó de los muertos; á Jesús, el cual nos libró de la ira que ha de venir.

And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.
