9Und sehet wohl zu: geht sie den Weg hinauf, der zu ihrem Gebiet führt, nach Beth-Semes, so hat Er uns all dies große Übel zugefügt; wenn nicht, so wissen wir dann, daß nicht seine Hand uns geschlagen hat, sondern daß es uns zufällig widerfahren ist.

9And see, if it goeth up by the way of his own coast to Beth-shemesh, then he hath done us this great evil: but if not, then we shall know that it is not his hand that smote us; it was a chance that happened to us.
