Ma i Filistei presero l'arca di Dio, e la trasportarono dalla Pietra del soccorso in Azoto.

Y LOS Filisteos, tomada el arca de Dios, trajéronla desde Eben-ezer á Asdod.

And the Philistines took the ark of God, and brought it from Eben-ezer unto Ashdod.

Now the Philistines had taken God’s ark, and they brought it from Ebenezer to Ashdod.

E portarono i Filistei l'arca di Dio nel tempio di Dagon, e la collocarono vicino a Dagon.

Y tomaron los Filisteos el arca de Dios, y metiéronla en la casa de Dagón, y pusiéronla junto á Dagón.

When the Philistines took the ark of God, they brought it into the house of Dagon, and set it by Dagon.

The Philistines took God’s ark, and brought it into the house of Dagon and set it by Dagon.

E il dì seguente alzatisi quelli di Azoto allo spuntare del dì, ecco che Dagon giaceva boccone per terra dinanzi all'arca del Signore: e presero Dagon, e lo rimisero al suo posto.

Y el siguiente día los de Asdod se levantaron de mañana, y he aquí Dagón postrado en tierra delante del arca de Jehová: y tomaron á Dagón, y volviéronlo á su lugar.

And when they of Ashdod arose early on the morrow, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the earth before the ark of the LORD. And they took Dagon, and set him in his place again.

When the people of Ashdod arose early on the next day, behold, Dagon had fallen on his face to the ground before the LORD’s ark. They took Dagon and set him in his place again.

E di nuovo alzati la mattina seguente trovarono Dagon che giacea boccone per terra dinanzi all'arca del Signore: ma il capo di Dagon, e le due mani troncate erano sulla soglia (del tempio):

Y tornándose á levantar de mañana el siguiente día, he aquí que Dagón había caído postrado en tierra delante del arca de Jehová; y la cabeza de Dagón y las dos palmas de sus manos estaban cortadas sobre el umbral, habiéndole quedado á Dagón el tronco solamente.

And when they arose early on the morrow morning, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the ground before the ark of the LORD; and the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands were cut off upon the threshold; only the stump of Dagon was left to him.

When they arose early on the following morning, behold, Dagon had fallen on his face to the ground before the LORD’s ark; and the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands were cut off on the threshold. Only Dagon’s torso was intact.

E il solo torso di Dagon era rimaso al suo posto. Questa è la ragione, per cui fino al dì d'oggi i sacerdoti di Dagon, e tutti quelli che entrano nel suo tempio non pongono il piede sulla soglia di Dagon in Azoto.

Por esta causa los sacerdotes de Dagón, y todos los que en el templo de Dagón entran, no pisan el umbral de Dagón en Asdod, hasta hoy.

Therefore neither the priests of Dagon, nor any that come into Dagon’s house, tread on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod unto this day.

E la mano del Signore si fe' sentir fieramente a quelli di Azoto e li desolò; e mandò a quelli di Azoto, e del suo territorio un malore nelle parti deretane più interne. E villaggi, e i campi in mezzo a quella regione ribollirono, e nacquer de' topi, e la città era sossopra pella gran mortalità.

Empero agravóse la mano de Jehová sobre los de Asdod, y destruyólos, é hiriólos con hemorroides en Asdod y en todos sus términos.

But the hand of the LORD was heavy upon them of Ashdod, and he destroyed them, and smote them with emerods, even Ashdod and the coasts thereof.

But the LORD’s hand was heavy on the people of Ashdod, and he destroyed them and struck them with tumors, even Ashdod and its borders.

Or reggendo gli uomini di Azoto questi flagelli dissero: Non resti presso di noi l'arca del Dio d'Israele: perocché dura è la mano di lui sopra di noi, e sopra il nostro dio Dagon.

Y viendo esto los de Asdod, dijeron: No quede con nosotros el arca del Dios de Israel, porque su mano es dura sobre nosotros, y sobre nuestro dios Dagón.

And when the men of Ashdod saw that it was so, they said, The ark of the God of Israel shall not abide with us: for his hand is sore upon us, and upon Dagon our god.

When the men of Ashdod saw that it was so, they said, “The ark of the God of Israel shall not stay with us, for his hand is severe on us and on Dagon our god.”

E mandaron gente per far adunare presso di loro tutti i satrapi de' Filistei, e dissero: Che farem noi dell'arca del Dio d'Israele? Risposero quelli di Geth: Si meni attorno l'arca del Dio d'Israele. E menaron attorno l'arca dei Dio d'Israele.

Enviaron pues á juntar á sí todos los príncipes de los Filisteos, y dijeron: ¿Qué haremos del arca del Dios de Israel? Y ellos respondieron: Pásese el arca del Dios de Israel á Gath. Y pasaron allá el arca del Dios de Israel.

They sent therefore and gathered all the lords of the Philistines unto them, and said, What shall we do with the ark of the God of Israel? And they answered, Let the ark of the God of Israel be carried about unto Gath. And they carried the ark of the God of Israel about thither.

E mentre quelli la menavano attorno, la mano del Signore facea strage formisura grande in ciascheduna città: e straziava dal piccolo al grande gli uomini di ciascuna città, e uscivan lor fuori gl'intestini, e s'imputridivano. E i Gethei tenner consiglio, e si fecer dei sedili di pelli.

Y aconteció que como la hubieron pasado, la mano de Jehová fué contra la ciudad con grande quebrantamiento; é hirió los hombres de aquella ciudad desde el chico hasta el grande, que se llenaron de hemorroides.

And it was so, that, after they had carried it about, the hand of the LORD was against the city with a very great destruction: and he smote the men of the city, both small and great, and they had emerods in their secret parts.

It was so, that after they had carried it there, the LORD’s hand was against the city with a very great confusion; and he struck the men of the city, both small and great, so that tumors broke out on them.

Mandarono adunque l'arca di Dio in Accaron. E arrivata che fu in Accaron l'arca di Dio, sclamarono gli Accaroniti, e dissero: Hanno condotta a noi l'arca del Dio d'Israele, perchè ammazzi noi, e il nostro popolo.

Entonces enviaron el arca de Dios á Ecrón. Y como el arca de Dios vino á Ecrón, los Ecronitas dieron voces diciendo: Han pasado á mí el arca del Dios de Israel por matarme á mí y á mi pueblo.

Therefore they sent the ark of God to Ekron. And it came to pass, as the ark of God came to Ekron, that the Ekronites cried out, saying, They have brought about the ark of the God of Israel to us, to slay us and our people.

So they sent God’s ark to Ekron. As God’s ark came to Ekron, the Ekronites cried out, saying, “They have brought the ark of the God of Israel here to us, to kill us and our people.”

Mandarono perciò gente affin di fare adunare tutti i satrapi dei Filistei: i quali dissero: Rimandate l'arca del Dio d'Israele, ed ella torni al suo posto, e non distrugga noi, e il nostro popolo.

Y enviaron á juntar todos los príncipes de los Filisteos, diciendo: Despachad el arca del Dios de Israel, y tórnese á su lugar, y no mate á mí ni á mi pueblo: porque había quebrantamiento de muerte en toda la ciudad, y la mano de Dios se había allí agravado.

So they sent and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and said, Send away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it go again to his own place, that it slay us not, and our people: for there was a deadly destruction throughout all the city; the hand of God was very heavy there.

They sent therefore and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and they said, “Send the ark of the God of Israel away, and let it go again to its own place, that it not kill us and our people.” For there was a deadly panic throughout all the city. The hand of God was very heavy there.

Imperocché per ciascuna città si spandeva un terror di morte, e la mano di Dio li premeva gagliardamente: e quegli ancora che non morivano, erano percossi nelle parti deretane più interne: e da ciascheduna città si alzavano le urla fino al cielo. I Filistei per consiglio de’ loro sacerdoti, rimandano fino a Bethsames l'arca sopra un carro nuovo tirato da vacche, che davan latte, aggiuntivi i doni votivi, i topi d' oro, e gli ani. I Bethsamitì immolan le vacche sopra il legname del carro: sono uccisi moltissimi del popolo, e della plebe dal Signore, per avere rimiraro l'arca di Dio non con tutta la riverenza.

Y los que no morían, eran heridos de hemorroides; y el clamor de la ciudad subía al cielo.

And the men that died not were smitten with the emerods: and the cry of the city went up to heaven.

The men who didn’t die were struck with the tumors; and the cry of the city went up to heaven.
