1DIE Philister also versammelten ihr ganzes Heer bei Aphek, Israel aber lagerte sich an der Quelle bei Jesreel.
2Als nun die Fürsten der Philister mit Hunderten und Tausenden einherzogen und zuletzt David und seine Leute mit Achis einherzogen,
3sprachen die Obersten der Philister: Was sollen die Hebräer da? Achis antwortete ihnen: Das ist doch David, der Knecht Sauls, des Königs von Israel; er ist nun schon ein oder zwei Jahre bei mir, ohne dass ich etwas an ihm auszusetzen gefunden hätte seit der Zeit, da er zu mir überging, bis auf diesen Tag. (a) 1Sa 27:7
4Aber die Obersten der Philister wurden zornig auf ihn und sprachen zu ihm: Schick den Mann zurück! Er soll wieder an seinen Ort gehen, den du ihm angewiesen hast, und nicht mit uns in den Kampf hinabziehen und im Kampf uns zum Widersacher werden. Womit könnte der sich bei seinem Herrn besser in Gunst setzen als mit den Köpfen dieser Männer?
5Ist das nicht der David, von dem sie im Reigen singen: Saul hat seine Tausende geschlagen, / David aber seine Zehntausende. (a) 1Sa 18:7
6Da rief Achis David und sprach zu ihm: So wahr der Herr lebt, du bist redlich, und mir wäre es lieb, wenn du bei mir im Lager aus und ein gingest; denn ich habe nichts Arges an dir gefunden seit der Zeit, da du zu mir gekommen bist, bis auf diesen Tag. Aber den Fürsten gefällst du nicht.
7So kehre nun um und gehe hin in Frieden, dass du nicht etwas tuest, was den Fürsten der Philister missfällt.
8David sprach zu Achis: Aber, was habe ich denn getan, und was hast du an deinem Knecht gefunden seit der Zeit, da ich in deinen Dienst getreten bin, bis auf diesen Tag, dass ich nicht mitkommen und wider die Feinde meines Herrn, des Königs, streiten darf?
9Achis antwortete und sprach zu David: Du weisst, dass du mir lieb bist wie ein Engel Gottes, aber die Obersten der Philister haben gesagt: "Er darf nicht mit uns in den Kampf ziehen."
10So mache dich nun morgen frühe auf, du und die Knechte deines Herrn, die mit dir gekommen sind, und zieht an den Ort, den ich euch angewiesen habe, und denke nicht an etwas Böses; denn du bist mir lieb - macht euch also morgen frühe auf und ziehet ab, sobald es Tag wird.
11Da machten sich David und seine Leute frühmorgens auf den Weg, um in das Land der Philister zurückzukehren. Die Philister aber zogen hinauf nach Jesreel.

2Y reconociendo los príncipes de los Filisteos sus compañías de á ciento y de á mil hombres, David y los suyos iban en los postreros con Achîs.
3Y dijeron los príncipes de los Filisteos: ¿Qué hacen aquí estos Hebreos? Y Achîs respondió á los príncipes de los Filisteos: ¿No es éste David, el siervo de Saúl rey de Israel, que ha estado conmigo algunos días ó algunos años, y no he hallado cosa en él desde el día que se pasó á mí hasta hoy?
4Entonces los príncipes de los Filisteos se enojaron contra él, y dijéronle: Envía á este hombre, que se vuelva al lugar que le señalaste, y no venga con nosotros á la batalla, no sea que en la batalla se nos vuelva enemigo: porque ¿con qué cosa volvería mejor á la gracia de su señor que con las cabezas de estos hombres?
5¿No es este David de quien cantaban en los corros, diciendo: Saúl hirió sus miles, y David sus diez miles?
6Y Achîs llamó á David, y díjole: Vive Jehová, que tú has sido recto, y que me ha parecido bien tu salida y entrada en el campo conmigo, y que ninguna cosa mala he hallado en ti desde el día que viniste á mí hasta hoy: mas en los ojos de los príncipes no agradas.
7Vuélvete pues, y vete en paz; y no hagas lo malo en los ojos de los príncipes de los Filisteos.
8Y David respondió á Achîs: ¿Qué he hecho? ¿qué has hallado en tu siervo desde el día que estoy contigo hasta hoy, para que yo no vaya y pelee contra los enemigos de mi señor el rey?
9Y Achîs respondió á David, y dijo: Yo sé que tú eres bueno en mis ojos, como un ángel de Dios; mas los príncipes de los Filisteos han dicho: No venga con nosotros á la batalla.
10Levántate pues de mañana, tú y los siervos de tu señor que han venido contigo; y levantándoos de mañana, luego al amanecer partíos.
11Y levantóse David de mañana, él y los suyos, para irse y volverse á la tierra de los Filisteos; y los Filisteos fueron á Jezreel.

1Now the Philistines gathered together all their armies to Aphek: and the Israelites pitched by a fountain which is in Jezreel.
2And the lords of the Philistines passed on by hundreds, and by thousands: but David and his men passed on in the rereward with Achish.
3Then said the princes of the Philistines, What do these Hebrews here? And Achish said unto the princes of the Philistines, Is not this David, the servant of Saul the king of Israel, which hath been with me these days, or these years, and I have found no fault in him since he fell unto me unto this day?
4And the princes of the Philistines were wroth with him; and the princes of the Philistines said unto him, Make this fellow return, that he may go again to his place which thou hast appointed him, and let him not go down with us to battle, lest in the battle he be an adversary to us: for wherewith should he reconcile himself unto his master? should it not be with the heads of these men?
5Is not this David, of whom they sang one to another in dances, saying, Saul slew his thousands, and David his ten thousands?
6Then Achish called David, and said unto him, Surely, as the LORD liveth, thou hast been upright, and thy going out and thy coming in with me in the host is good in my sight: for I have not found evil in thee since the day of thy coming unto me unto this day: nevertheless the lords favour thee not.
7Wherefore now return, and go in peace, that thou displease not the lords of the Philistines.
8And David said unto Achish, But what have I done? and what hast thou found in thy servant so long as I have been with thee unto this day, that I may not go fight against the enemies of my lord the king?
9And Achish answered and said to David, I know that thou art good in my sight, as an angel of God: notwithstanding the princes of the Philistines have said, He shall not go up with us to the battle.
10Wherefore now rise up early in the morning with thy master’s servants that are come with thee: and as soon as ye be up early in the morning, and have light, depart.
11So David and his men rose up early to depart in the morning, to return into the land of the Philistines. And the Philistines went up to Jezreel.

1Now the Philistines gathered together all their armies to Aphek; and the Israelites encamped by the spring which is in Jezreel.
2The lords of the Philistines passed on by hundreds and by thousands; and David and his men passed on in the rear with Achish.
3Then the princes of the Philistines said, “What about these Hebrews?” Achish said to the princes of the Philistines, “Isn’t this David, the servant of Saul the king of Israel, who has been with me these days, or rather these years? I have found no fault in him since he fell away until today.”
4But the princes of the Philistines were angry with him; and the princes of the Philistines said to him, “Make the man return, that he may go back to his place where you have appointed him, and let him not go down with us to battle, lest in the battle he become an adversary to us. For with what should this fellow reconcile himself to his lord? Should it not be with the heads of these men?
5Isn’t this David, of whom people sang to one another in dances, saying, ‘Saul has slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands’?”
6Then Achish called David and said to him, “As the LORD lives, you have been upright, and your going out and your coming in with me in the army is good in my sight; for I have not found evil in you since the day of your coming to me to this day. Nevertheless, the lords don’t favor you.
7Therefore now return, and go in peace, that you not displease the lords of the Philistines.”
8David said to Achish, “But what have I done? What have you found in your servant so long as I have been before you to this day, that I may not go and fight against the enemies of my lord the king?”
9Achish answered David, “I know that you are good in my sight, as an angel of God. Notwithstanding, the princes of the Philistines have said, ‘He shall not go up with us to the battle.’
10Therefore now rise up early in the morning with the servants of your lord who have come with you; and as soon as you are up early in the morning and have light, depart.”
11So David rose up early, he and his men, to depart in the morning, to return into the land of the Philistines; and the Philistines went up to Jezreel.
