Ya Samuel era muerto, y todo Israel lo había lamentado, y habíanle sepultado en Rama, en su ciudad. Y Saúl había echado de la tierra los encantadores y adivinos.

Nun versammelten sich die Philister, drangen ein und lagerten sich bei Sunem; Saul aber versammelte ganz Israel, und sie lagerten sich am Gilboa.

Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and enquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor.
Then Saul said to his servants, “Seek for me a woman who has a familiar spirit, that I may go to her and inquire of her.” His servants said to him, “Behold, there is a woman who has a familiar spirit at Endor.”
Da verstellte sich Saul, zog andre Kleider an und ging mit zwei Männern hin, und sie kamen bei Nacht zu dem Weibe. Und er sprach: Wahrsage mir doch durch den Totengeist und bringe mir den herauf, den ich dir nenne.
Y disfrazóse Saúl, y púsose otros vestidos, y fuése con dos hombres, y vinieron á aquella mujer de noche; y él dijo: Yo te ruego que me adivines por el espíritu de pythón, y me hagas subir á quien yo te dijere.
And Saul disguised himself, and put on other raiment, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night: and he said, I pray thee, divine unto me by the familiar spirit, and bring me him up, whom I shall name unto thee.

Das Weib sprach zu ihm: Du weisst doch, was Saul getan hat: dass er die Totenbeschwörer und Wahrsager im Lande ausgerottet hat; warum legst du mir eine Schlinge, dass ich getötet werde?
Y la mujer le dijo: He aquí tú sabes lo que Saúl ha hecho, cómo ha separado de la tierra los pythones y los adivinos: ¿por qué pues pones tropiezo á mi vida, para hacerme matar?
And the woman said unto him, Behold, thou knowest what Saul hath done, how he hath cut off those that have familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land: wherefore then layest thou a snare for my life, to cause me to die?
The woman said to him, “Behold, you know what Saul has done, how he has cut off those who have familiar spirits and the wizards out of the land. Why then do you lay a snare for my life, to cause me to die?”
Saul aber schwur ihr bei dem Herrn und sprach: So wahr der Herr lebt, es soll dich keine Schuld in dieser Sache treffen.
Entoces Saúl le juró por Jehová, diciendo: Vive Jehová, que ningún mal te vendrá por esto.
And Saul sware to her by the LORD, saying, As the LORD liveth, there shall no punishment happen to thee for this thing.
Saul swore to her by the LORD, saying, “As the LORD lives, no punishment will happen to you for this thing.”
Da fragte das Weib: Wen soll ich dir heraufbringen? Er antwortete: Den Samuel bring mir herauf!
La mujer entonces dijo: ¿A quién te haré venir? Y él respondió: Hazme venir á Samuel.
Then said the woman, Whom shall I bring up unto thee? And he said, Bring me up Samuel.
Then the woman said, “Whom shall I bring up to you?” He said, “Bring Samuel up for me.”
Da schaute das Weib Saul an, schrie laut auf und sprach zu ihm: Warum hast du mich getäuscht? Du bist ja Saul!
Y viendo la mujer á Samuel, clamó en alta voz, y habló aquella mujer á Saúl, diciendo:
And when the woman saw Samuel, she cried with a loud voice: and the woman spake to Saul, saying, Why hast thou deceived me? for thou art Saul.
When the woman saw Samuel, she cried with a loud voice; and the woman spoke to Saul, saying, “Why have you deceived me? For you are Saul!”
Der König aber sprach zu ihr: Fürchte dich nicht! sondern sage, was siehst du? Das Weib sprach zu Saul: Einen Geist sehe ich aus der Erde heraufsteigen.
¿Por qué me has engañado? que tú eres Saúl. Y el rey le dijo: No temas: ¿qué has visto? Y la mujer respondió á Saúl: He visto dioses que suben de la tierra.
And the king said unto her, Be not afraid: for what sawest thou? And the woman said unto Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth.
The king said to her, “Don’t be afraid! What do you see?” The woman said to Saul, “I see a god coming up out of the earth.”
Er sprach zu ihr: Wie sieht er aus? Sie sprach: Es kommt ein alter Mann herauf, umhüllt mit einem Mantel. Da merkte Saul, dass es Samuel sei, und er neigte sich mit seinem Angesicht ehrfurchtsvoll zur Erde.
Y él le dijo: ¿Cuál es su forma? Y ella respondió: Un hombre anciano viene, cubierto de un manto. Saúl entonces entendió que era Samuel, y humillando el rostro á tierra, hizo gran reverencia.
And he said unto her, What form is he of? And she said, An old man cometh up; and he is covered with a mantle. And Saul perceived that it was Samuel, and he stooped with his face to the ground, and bowed himself.
He said to her, “What does he look like?” She said, “An old man comes up. He is covered with a robe.” Saul perceived that it was Samuel, and he bowed with his face to the ground, and showed respect.
Samuel aber sprach zu Saul: Warum störst du meine Ruhe und lässest mich herauf kommen? Saul sprach: Ich bin in grosser Not; die Philister streiten wider mich. Gott aber ist von mir gewichen und gibt mir keine Antwort mehr, weder durch Propheten noch durch Träume; darum habe ich dich rufen lassen, dass du mir zeigest, was ich tun soll. (a) 1Sa 16:14
Y Samuel dijo á Saúl: ¿Por qué me has inquietado haciéndome venir? Y Saúl respondió: Estoy muy congojado; pues los Filisteos pelean contra mí, y Dios se ha apartado de mí, y no me responde más, ni por mano de profetas, ni por sueños: por esto te he llamado, para que me declares qué tengo de hacer.
And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up? And Saul answered, I am sore distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest make known unto me what I shall do.
Samuel said to Saul, “Why have you disturbed me, to bring me up?” Saul answered, “I am very distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God has departed from me, and answers me no more, by prophets, or by dreams. Therefore I have called you, that you may make known to me what I shall do.”
Samuel sprach: Warum fragst du mich denn, da doch der Herr von dir gewichen und dein Feind geworden ist?
Entonces Samuel dijo: ¿Y para qué me preguntas á mí, habiéndose apartado de ti Jehová, y es tu enemigo?
Then said Samuel, Wherefore then dost thou ask of me, seeing the LORD is departed from thee, and is become thine enemy?
Samuel said, “Why then do you ask me, since the LORD has departed from you and has become your adversary?
Der Herr hat dir getan, wie er durch mich geredet hat: der Herr hat dir das Königtum entrissen und es dem andern gegeben, dem David. (a) 1Sa 15:28
Jehová pues ha hecho como habló por medio de mí; pues ha cortado Jehová el reino de tu mano, y lo ha dado á tu compañero David.
And the LORD hath done to him, as he spake by me: for the LORD hath rent the kingdom out of thine hand, and given it to thy neighbour, even to David:
The LORD has done to you as he spoke by me. The LORD has torn the kingdom out of your hand and given it to your neighbor, even to David.
Weil du auf die Stimme des Herrn nicht gehört und seinen grimmigen Zorn an Amalek nicht vollstreckt hast, darum hat der Herr dir heute das getan (a) 1Sa 15:18 19
Como tú no obedeciste á la voz de Jehová, ni cumpliste el furor de su ira sobre Amalec, por eso Jehová te ha hecho esto hoy.
Because thou obeyedst not the voice of the LORD, nor executedst his fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore hath the LORD done this thing unto thee this day.
Because you didn’t obey the LORD’s voice, and didn’t execute his fierce wrath on Amalek, therefore the LORD has done this thing to you today.
und hat auch Israel mit dir in die Hand der Philister gegeben; und morgen wirst du samt deinen Söhnen bei mir sein. Auch das Heer Israels wird der Herr in die Hand der Philister geben. (a) 1Sa 31:6
Y Jehová entregará á Israel también contigo en manos de los Filisteos: y mañana seréis conmigo, tú y tus hijos: y aun el campo de Israel entregará Jehová en manos de los Filisteos.
Moreover the LORD will also deliver Israel with thee into the hand of the Philistines: and to morrow shalt thou and thy sons be with me: the LORD also shall deliver the host of Israel into the hand of the Philistines.

Da fiel Saul entsetzt der ganzen Länge nach zu Boden, und er war in grosser Furcht ob der Worte Samuels; auch war keine Kraft mehr in ihm, denn er hatte den ganzen Tag und die ganze Nacht nichts gegessen.
En aquel punto cayó Saúl en tierra cuan grande era, y tuvo gran temor por las palabras de Samuel; que no quedó en él esfuerzo ninguno, porque en todo aquel día y aquella noche no había comido pan.
Then Saul fell straightway all along on the earth, and was sore afraid, because of the words of Samuel: and there was no strength in him; for he had eaten no bread all the day, nor all the night.
Then Saul fell immediately his full length on the earth, and was terrified, because of Samuel’s words. There was no strength in him, for he had eaten no bread all day long or all night long.
Das Weib aber ging zu Saul hin, und als sie sah, dass er ganz verstört war, sprach sie zu ihm: Siehe, deine Magd hat dir gehorcht; ich habe mein Leben aufs Spiel gesetzt und habe auf die Worte gehört, die du zu mir geredet hast.
Entonces la mujer vino á Saúl, y viéndole en grande manera turbado, díjole: He aquí que tu criada ha obedecido á tu voz, y he puesto mi vida en mi mano, y he oído las palabras que tú me has dicho.
And the woman came unto Saul, and saw that he was sore troubled, and said unto him, Behold, thine handmaid hath obeyed thy voice, and I have put my life in my hand, and have hearkened unto thy words which thou spakest unto me.
The woman came to Saul and saw that he was very troubled, and said to him, “Behold, your servant has listened to your voice, and I have put my life in my hand, and have listened to your words which you spoke to me.
Und nun, höre doch auch du auf deine Magd: ich will dir einen Bissen Brot vorsetzen; iss, damit du bei Kräften bist, wenn du deine Strasse ziehst.
Ruégote pues, que tú también oigas la voz de tu sierva: pondré yo delante de ti un bocado de pan que comas, para que te corrobores, y vayas tu camino.
Now therefore, I pray thee, hearken thou also unto the voice of thine handmaid, and let me set a morsel of bread before thee; and eat, that thou mayest have strength, when thou goest on thy way.

Er aber weigerte sich und sprach: Ich mag nicht essen. Da nötigten ihn seine Diener und auch das Weib, und er willfahrte ihnen. Und er stand auf von der Erde und setzte sich auf das Lager.
Y él lo rehusó, diciendo: No comeré. Mas sus criados juntamente con la mujer le constriñeron, y él los obedeció. Levantóse pues del suelo, y sentóse sobre una cama.
But he refused, and said, I will not eat. But his servants, together with the woman, compelled him; and he hearkened unto their voice. So he arose from the earth, and sat upon the bed.
But he refused, and said, “I will not eat.” But his servants, together with the woman, constrained him; and he listened to their voice. So he arose from the earth and sat on the bed.
Das Weib aber hatte ein gemästetes Kalb im Hause; das schlachtete sie eilends. Dann nahm sie Mehl, knetete es und buk daraus Brotfladen;
Y aquella mujer tenía en su casa un ternero grueso, el cual mató luego; y tomó harina y amasóla, y coció de ella panes sin levadura.
And the woman had a fat calf in the house; and she hasted, and killed it, and took flour, and kneaded it, and did bake unleavened bread thereof:

das setzte sie Saul und seinen Dienern vor. Und als sie gegessen hatten, standen sie auf und gingen noch in selbiger Nacht davon.

And she brought it before Saul, and before his servants; and they did eat. Then they rose up, and went away that night.
