And David arose, and came to the place where Saul had pitched: and David beheld the place where Saul lay, and Abner the son of Ner, the captain of his host: and Saul lay in the trench, and the people pitched round about him.

Disse David ad Achimelech Hetheo, e ad Abisai figliuolo di Servia fratello di Joab: Chi verrà meco nel campo di Saul? E Abisai disse: Verrò io con te.
Entonces habló David, y requirió á Ahimelech Hetheo, y á Abisai hijo de Sarvia, hermano de Joab, diciendo: ¿Quién descenderá conmigo á Saúl al campo? Y dijo Abisai: Yo descenderé contigo.
Then answered David and said to Ahimelech the Hittite, and to Abishai the son of Zeruiah, brother to Joab, saying, Who will go down with me to Saul to the camp? And Abishai said, I will go down with thee.

Andarono adunque David, e Abisai tra quella gente di notte tempo, e trovaron Saul che giaceva addormentato nella tenda con la sua lancia vicino al capezzale fitta in terra; e Abner, e l'altra gente che dormivano all'intorno.
David pues y Abisai vinieron al pueblo de noche: y he aquí Saúl que estaba tendido durmiendo en la trinchera, y su lanza hincada en tierra á su cabecera; y Abner y el pueblo estaban alrededor de él tendidos.

E Abisai disse a David: Oggi Dio ti ha dato in balia il tuo nemico: or io lo conficcherò in terra con un solo colpo di lancia, e non vi abbisognerà il secondo.
Entonces dijo Abisai á David: Hoy ha Dios entregado á tu enemigo en tus manos: ahora pues, herirélo luego con la lanza, cosiéndole con la tierra de un golpe, y no segundaré.
Then said Abishai to David, God hath delivered thine enemy into thine hand this day: now therefore let me smite him, I pray thee, with the spear even to the earth at once, and I will not smite him the second time.
Then Abishai said to David, “God has delivered up your enemy into your hand today. Now therefore please let me strike him with the spear to the earth at one stroke, and I will not strike him the second time.”
Ma David disse ad Abisai: Non ammazzarlo: imperocché chi può senza colpa stendere la sua mano contro il cristo del Signore?
Y David respondió á Abisai: No le mates: porque ¿quién extenderá su mano contra el ungido de Jehová, y será inocente?
And David said to Abishai, Destroy him not: for who can stretch forth his hand against the LORD’s anointed, and be guiltless?

E soggiunse David: Viva il Signore: se il Signore non lo ucciderà, o non verrà il giorno della sua morte, o non perirà dando battaglia;
Dijo además David: Vive Jehová, que si Jehová no lo hiriere, ó que su día llegue para que muera, ó que descendiendo en batalla perezca,
David said furthermore, As the LORD liveth, the LORD shall smite him; or his day shall come to die; or he shall descend into battle, and perish.
David said, “As the LORD lives, the LORD will strike him; or his day shall come to die, or he shall go down into battle and perish.
Il Signore mi farà la grazia di non istendere la mia mano contro il cristo del Signore: ora dunque tu prendi l'asta, che è presso alla sua testa, e la coppa dell'acqua, e andiamocene.
Guárdeme Jehová de extender mi mano contra el ungido de Jehová; empero toma ahora la lanza que está á su cabecera, y la botija del agua, y vámonos.

Davidde pertanto portò via la lancia e la coppa dell'acqua che Saul avea presso al suo capo, e se n'andarono: e non eravi anima, che vedesse o sentisse, o vegliasse, ma tutti dormivano, perchè eran presi da sonno profondo.
Llevóse pues David la lanza y la botija de agua de la cabecera de Saúl, y fuéronse; que no hubo nadie que viese, ni entendiese, ni velase, pues todos dormían: porque un profundo sueño enviado de Jehová había caído sobre ellos.
So David took the spear and the cruse of water from Saul’s bolster; and they gat them away, and no man saw it, nor knew it, neither awaked: for they were all asleep; because a deep sleep from the LORD was fallen upon them.

And David cried to the people, and to Abner the son of Ner, saying, Answerest thou not, Abner? Then Abner answered and said, Who art thou that criest to the king?

E David disse ad Abner: Non se' tu un uomo? Ed havven'egli un altro simile a te in Israele? perchè adunque non hai fatto buona guardia al signore tuo re? perocché è entrato uno del popolo per uccidere il re tuo signore.
Y dijo David á Abner: ¿No eres varón tú? ¿y quién hay como tú en Israel? ¿por qué pues no has guardado al rey tu señor? que ha entrado uno del pueblo á matar á tu señor el rey.
And David said to Abner, Art not thou a valiant man? and who is like to thee in Israel? wherefore then hast thou not kept thy lord the king? for there came one of the people in to destroy the king thy lord.
David said to Abner, “Aren’t you a man? Who is like you in Israel? Why then have you not kept watch over your lord the king? For one of the people came in to destroy your lord the king.
Non bene sta quello che tu hai fatto: viva il Signore, rei di morte siete voi, che non avete fatto buona guardia al signore vostro, al cristo del Signore: or tu guarda dove sia la lancia del re, e dove sia la coppa dell'acqua, ch'egli avea presso ai suo capo.
Esto que has hecho, no está bien. Vive Jehová, que sois dignos de muerte, que no habéis guardado á vuestro señor, al ungido de Jehová. Mira pues ahora dónde está la lanza del rey, y la botija del agua que estaba á su cabecera.
This thing is not good that thou hast done. As the LORD liveth, ye are worthy to die, because ye have not kept your master, the LORD’s anointed. And now see where the king’s spear is, and the cruse of water that was at his bolster.
This thing isn’t good that you have done. As the LORD lives, you are worthy to die, because you have not kept watch over your lord, the LORD’s anointed. Now see where the king’s spear is, and the jar of water that was at his head.”
E Saul riconobbe la voce di David, e disse: Non è ella questa la tua voce, o David mio figliuolo? E David disse: Ell'è la mia voce, signor mio re.
Y conociendo Saúl la voz de David, dijo: ¿No es esta tu voz, hijo mío David? Y David respondió: Mi voz es, rey señor mío.
And Saul knew David’s voice, and said, Is this thy voice, my son David? And David said, It is my voice, my lord, O king.
Saul recognized David’s voice, and said, “Is this your voice, my son David?” David said, “It is my voice, my lord, O king.”
E soggiunse: Per qual ragione il signor mio perseguita il suo servo? che ho fatt'io, o di qual delitto sono imbrattate le mie mani?
Y dijo: ¿Por qué persigue así mi señor á su siervo? ¿qué he hecho? ¿qué mal hay en mi mano?
And he said, Wherefore doth my lord thus pursue after his servant? for what have I done? or what evil is in mine hand?
He said, “Why does my lord pursue his servant? For what have I done? What evil is in my hand?
Or adunque ascolta di grazia, o re signor mio, le parole del tuo servo: Se il Signore ti spinge contro di me, gradisca l'odore del sacrifizio, ma se (sono) i figliuoli degli uomini, essi son maledetti dinanzi al Signore, eglino che mi hanno oggi discacciato, perch'io non abbia luogo nella eredità del Signore, dicendo: Va, servi agli dei stranieri.
Ruego pues, que el rey mi señor oiga ahora las palabras de su siervo. Si Jehová te incita contra mí, acepte un sacrificio: mas si fueren hijos de hombres, malditos ellos en presencia de Jehová, que me han echado hoy para que no me junte en la heredad de Jehová, diciendo: Ve y sirve á dioses ajenos.
Now therefore, I pray thee, let my lord the king hear the words of his servant. If the LORD have stirred thee up against me, let him accept an offering: but if they be the children of men, cursed be they before the LORD; for they have driven me out this day from abiding in the inheritance of the LORD, saying, Go, serve other gods.
Now therefore, please let my lord the king hear the words of his servant. If it is so that the LORD has stirred you up against me, let him accept an offering. But if it is the children of men, they are cursed before the LORD; for they have driven me out today that I shouldn’t cling to the LORD’s inheritance, saying, ‘Go, serve other gods!’
Ora adunque non sia sparso sopra la terra il sangue mio sotto gli occhi del Signore: imperocché si è messo in viaggio un re d'Israele per andar in cerca di una pulce, come si va dietro ad una pernice pelle montagne.
No caiga pues ahora mi sangre en tierra delante de Jehová: porque ha salido el rey de Israel á buscar una pulga, así como quien persigue una perdiz por los montes.
Now therefore, let not my blood fall to the earth before the face of the LORD: for the king of Israel is come out to seek a flea, as when one doth hunt a partridge in the mountains.

E Saul disse: Ho peccato: torna, figliuol mio David: perocché io non ti farò più alcun male: mentre è stata oggi preziosa negli occhi tuoi la mia vita: imperocché è manifesto come ho stoltamente operato, e di moltissime cose sono stato all'oscuro.
Entonces dijo Saúl: He pecado: vuélvete, hijo mío David, que ningún mal te haré más, pues que mi vida ha sido estimada hoy en tus ojos. He aquí, yo he hecho neciamente, y he errado en gran manera.
Then said Saul, I have sinned: return, my son David: for I will no more do thee harm, because my soul was precious in thine eyes this day: behold, I have played the fool, and have erred exceedingly.
Then Saul said, “I have sinned. Return, my son David; for I will no more do you harm, because my life was precious in your eyes today. Behold, I have played the fool, and have erred exceedingly.”
E David rispose, e disse: Ecco la lancia del re: venga uno de' servi del re a prenderla.
Y David respondió, y dijo: He aquí la lanza del rey; pase acá uno de los criados, y tómela.
And David answered and said, Behold the king’s spear! and let one of the young men come over and fetch it.
David answered, “Behold the spear, O king! Let one of the young men come over and get it.
Ma il Signore darà il contraccambio ad ognuno secondo la sua giustizia, e fedeltà: perocché oggi il Signore ti avea dato nelle mie mani, e io non ho voluto stender la mano contro il cristo del Signore.
Y Jehová pague á cada uno su justicia y su lealtad: que Jehová te había entregado hoy en mi mano, mas yo no quise extender mi mano sobre el ungido de Jehová.
The LORD render to every man his righteousness and his faithfulness: for the LORD delivered thee into my hand to day, but I would not stretch forth mine hand against the LORD’s anointed.
The LORD will give to every man his righteousness and his faithfulness; because the LORD delivered you into my hand today, and I wouldn’t stretch out my hand against the LORD’s anointed.
E siccome preziosa negli occhi miei è stata oggi la tua vita, così preziosa sia la mia vita negli occhi del Signore, ed ei mi liberi da tutti i travagli.
Y he aquí, como tu vida ha sido estimada hoy en mis ojos, así sea mi vida estimada en los ojos de Jehová, y me libre de toda aflicción.
And, behold, as thy life was much set by this day in mine eyes, so let my life be much set by in the eyes of the LORD, and let him deliver me out of all tribulation.
Behold, as your life was respected today in my eyes, so let my life be respected in the LORD’s eyes, and let him deliver me out of all oppression.”
Disse adunque Saul a David: Sii tu benedetto, figliuol mio David: e certamente farai fatti grandi, e sarai potentemente possente. E David se n'andò al suo viaggio, e Saul a casa sua. David non avendo cuore di fidarti dell'incostanza di Saulle, si rifugia presso il re Achis, e ottiene da lui la città di Siceleg, la quale da indi in poi fu ereditata dai re di Giuda, e ingannando il re Achis faceva grandissime prede sopra gli Amaleciti, e i luoghi vicini.
Y Saúl dijo á David: Bendito eres tú, hijo mío David; sin duda ejecutarás tú grandes empresas, y prevalecerás. Entonces David se fué su camino, y Saúl se volvió á su lugar.
Then Saul said to David, Blessed be thou, my son David: thou shalt both do great things, and also shalt still prevail. So David went on his way, and Saul returned to his place.
Then Saul said to David, “You are blessed, my son David. You will both do mightily, and will surely prevail.” So David went his way, and Saul returned to his place.
