39Da das David horete, daß Nabal tot war, sprach er: Gelobet sei der HERR, der meine Schmach gerochen hat an dem Nabal und seinen Knecht enthalten hat vor dem Ubel, und der HERR hat dem Nabal das Ubel auf seinen Kopf vergolten. Und David sandte hin und lieü mit Abigail reden, daß er sie zum Weibe nahme.

39Y luego que David oyó que Nabal era muerto, dijo: Bendito sea Jehová que juzgó la causa de mi afrenta recibida de la mano de Nabal, y ha preservado del mal á su siervo; y Jehová ha tornado la malicia de Nabal sobre su propia cabeza. Después envió David á hablar á Abigail, para tomarla por su mujer.

39And when David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, Blessed be the LORD, that hath pleaded the cause of my reproach from the hand of Nabal, and hath kept his servant from evil: for the LORD hath returned the wickedness of Nabal upon his own head. And David sent and communed with Abigail, to take her to him to wife.

39When David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, “Blessed is the LORD, who has pleaded the cause of my reproach from the hand of Nabal, and has kept back his servant from evil.
