1DA ging David von dannen und entkam in die Höhle von Adullam. Als das seine Brüder und das ganze Haus seines Vaters hörten, kamen sie zu ihm dorthin.
2Und es sammelten sich um ihn alle, die bedrängt, verschuldet oder verzweifelt waren, und er wurde ihr Hauptmann. Es waren bei ihm ungefähr vierhundert Mann.
3Von da zog David nach Mizpe in Moab und sprach zum König von Moab: Lass doch meinen Vater und meine Mutter bei euch wohnen, bis ich weiss, was Gott mit mir tun will.
4Und er liess sie bei dem König von Moab, und sie blieben bei ihm, solange David auf der Bergfeste war.
5Aber der Prophet Gad sprach zu David: Bleibe nicht auf der Bergfeste. Auf, und komm ins Land Juda! Da ging David fort und kam nach Jaar-Hereth.
6Und Saul hörte davon; denn David und die Männer bei ihm waren bekannt geworden. Saul aber sass eben zu Gibea unter der Tamariske auf der Anhöhe, den Speer in der Hand, und alle seine Leute standen vor ihm.
7Da sprach Saul zu seinen Leuten, die vor ihm standen: Höret doch, ihr Benjaminiten! Wird der Sohn Isais euch auch Äcker und Weinberge geben, und wird er euch alle zu Anführern über Tausend und über Hundert machen,
8dass ihr euch alle wider mich verschworen habt und niemand es mir offenbarte, als mein Sohn sich mit dem Sohne Isais verbündete, und dass niemand unter euch Mitleid mit mir hatte und es mir offenbarte, dass mein Sohn meinen Knecht aufgestiftet hat, mir nachzustellen, wie es jetzt am Tage ist? 9Da antwortete der Edomiter Doeg, der gerade neben den Dienern Sauls stand, und sprach: Ich sah, wie der Sohn Isais nach Nob zu Ahimelech, dem Sohne Ahitubs, kam. (a) 1Sa 21:8; 22:18
10Der befragte den Herrn für ihn; auch Wegzehrung gab er ihm und das Schwert des Philisters Goliath.
11Da sandte der König hin, den Priester Ahimelech, den Sohn Ahitubs, und seines Vaters ganzes Haus, die Priester in Nob, zu rufen; und sie kamen alle zum König.
12Und Saul sprach: Höre doch, Sohn Ahitubs! Er antwortete: Hier bin ich, Herr!
13Saul sprach zu ihm: Warum habt ihr euch wider mich verschworen, du und der Sohn Isais, dass du ihm Brot und ein Schwert gegeben und Gott für ihn befragt hast, sodass er sich wider mich auflehnt und mir nachstellt, wie es jetzt am Tage ist?
14Ahimelech antwortete dem König: Aber wer ist unter allen deinen Knechten so treu wie David, dazu des Königs Tochtermann und Oberster über deine Leibwache und geehrt in deinem Hause?
15Habe ich denn jetzt zum erstenmal Gott für ihn befragt? Mitnichten! Der König lege doch nicht seinem Knechte und dem ganzen Hause meines Vaters etwas zur Last; denn dein Knecht hat von alledem nichts gewusst, weder Kleines noch Grosses.
16Aber der König sprach: Du musst sterben, Ahimelech, du und deines Vaters ganzes Haus!
17Und der König befahl seinen Trabanten, die vor ihm standen: Tretet herzu und tötet die Priester des Herrn; denn sie halten auch zu David, und wiewohl sie wussten, dass er auf der Flucht sei, haben sie es mir nicht offenbart. Aber die Diener des Königs wollten nicht Hand anlegen, um die Priester des Herrn niederzustossen.
18Da sprach der König zu Doeg: Tritt du herzu und stosse die Priester nieder. Der Edomiter Doeg trat herzu und stiess die Priester nieder und tötete an jenem Tage 85 Männer, die das linnene Ephod trugen. (a) 1Sa 21:8; 22:9
19Und Nob, die Stadt der Priester, schlug der König mit der Schärfe des Schwertes - Männer und Frauen, Kinder und Säuglinge, Rinder, Esel und Schafe mit der Schärfe des Schwertes.
20Nur ein einziger Sohn Ahimelechs, des Sohnes Ahitubs, namens Abjathar, entrann und floh zu David.
21Und Abjathar meldete David, dass Saul die Priester des Herrn umgebracht habe.
22David aber sprach zu Abjathar: Ich wusste schon an jenem Tage, dass der Edomiter Doeg, der ja dort war, es Saul verraten würde. Ich bin schuld am Tode aller aus deines Vaters Hause.
23Bleibe bei mir und fürchte dich nicht! Denn wer dir nach dem Leben trachtet, der trachtet mir nach dem Leben; bei mir bist du in guter Hut.

1Y YÉNDOSE David de allí escapóse á la cueva de Adullam; lo cual como oyeron sus hermanos y toda la casa de su padre, vinieron allí á él.
2Y juntáronse con él todos los afligidos, y todo el que estaba adeudado, y todos los que se hallaban en amargura de espíritu, y fué hecho capitán de ellos: y tuvo consigo como cuatrocientos hombres.
3Y fuése David de allí á Mizpa de Moab, y dijo al rey de Moab: Yo te ruego que mi padre y mi madre estén con vosotros, hasta que sepa lo que Dios hará de mí.
4Trájolos pues á la presencia del rey de Moab, y habitaron con él todo el tiempo que David estuvo en la fortaleza.
5Y Gad profeta dijo á David: No te estés en esta fortaleza, pártete, y vete á tierra de Judá. Y David se partió, y vino al bosque de Hareth.
6Y oyó Saúl como había parecido David, y los que estaban con él. Estaba entonces Saúl en Gabaa debajo de un árbol en Rama, y tenía su lanza en su mano, y todos sus criados estaban en derredor de él.
7Y dijo Saúl á sus criados que estaban en derredor de él: Oid ahora, hijos de Benjamín: ¿Os dará también á todos vosotros el hijo de Isaí tierras y viñas, y os hará á todos tribunos y centuriones;
8Que todos vosotros habéis conspirado contra mí, y no hay quien me descubra al oído como mi hijo ha hecho alianza con el hijo de Isaí, ni alguno de vosotros que se duela de mí, y me descubra como mi hijo ha levantado á mi siervo contra mí, para que me aceche, según hace hoy día?
9Entonces Doeg Idumeo, que era superior entre los siervos de Saúl, respondió y dijo: Yo vi al hijo de Isaí que vino á Nob, á Ahimelech hijo de Ahitob;
10El cual consultó por él á Jehová, y dióle provisión, y también le dió la espada de Goliath el Filisteo.
11Y el rey envió por el sacerdote Ahimelech hijo de Ahitob, y por toda la casa de su padre, los sacerdotes que estaban en Nob: y todos vinieron al rey.
12Y Saúl le dijo: Oye ahora, hijo de Ahitob. Y él dijo: Heme aquí, señor mío.
13Y díjole Saúl: ¿Por qué habéis conspirado contra mí, tú y el hijo de Isaí, cuando tú le diste pan y espada, y consultaste por él á Dios, para que se levantase contra mí y me acechase, como lo hace hoy día?
14Entonces Ahimelech respondió al rey, y dijo: ¿Y quién entre todos tus siervos es tan fiel como David, yerno además del rey, y que va por tu mandado, y es ilustre en tu casa?
15¿He comenzado yo desde hoy á consultar por él á Dios? lejos sea de mí: no impute el rey cosa alguna á su siervo, ni á toda la casa de mi padre; porque tu siervo ninguna cosa sabe de este negocio, grande ni chica.
16Y el rey dijo: Sin duda morirás, Ahimelech, tú y toda la casa de tu padre.
17Entonces dijo el rey á la gente de su guardia que estaba alrededor de él: Cercad y matad á los sacerdotes de Jehová; porque también la mano de ellos es con David, pues sabiendo ellos que huía, no me lo descubrieron. Mas los siervos del rey no quisieron extender sus manos para matar á los sacerdotes de Jehová.
18Entonces dijo el rey á Doeg: Vuelve tú, y arremete contra los sacerdotes. Y revolviéndose Doeg Idumeo, arremetió contra los sacerdotes, y mató en aquel día ochenta y cinco varones que vestían ephod de lino.
19Y á Nob, ciudad de los sacerdotes, puso á cuchillo: así á hombres como á mujeres, niños y mamantes, bueyes y asnos y ovejas, todo á cuchillo.
20Mas uno de los hijos de Ahimelech hijo de Ahitob, que se llamaba Abiathar, escapó, y huyóse á David.
21Y Abiathar notició á David como Saúl había muerto los sacerdotes de Jehová.
22Y dijo David á Abiathar: Yo sabía que estando allí aquel día Doeg el Idumeo, él lo había de hacer saber á Saúl. Yo he dado ocasión contra todas las personas de la casa de tu padre.
23Quédate conmigo, no temas: quien buscare mi vida, buscará también la tuya: bien que tú estarás conmigo guardado.

1David therefore departed thence, and escaped to the cave Adullam: and when his brethren and all his father’s house heard it, they went down thither to him.
2And every one that was in distress, and every one that was in debt, and every one that was discontented, gathered themselves unto him; and he became a captain over them: and there were with him about four hundred men.
3And David went thence to Mizpeh of Moab: and he said unto the king of Moab, Let my father and my mother, I pray thee, come forth, and be with you, till I know what God will do for me.
4And he brought them before the king of Moab: and they dwelt with him all the while that David was in the hold.
5And the prophet Gad said unto David, Abide not in the hold; depart, and get thee into the land of Judah. Then David departed, and came into the forest of Hareth.
6When Saul heard that David was discovered, and the men that were with him, (now Saul abode in Gibeah under a tree in Ramah, having his spear in his hand, and all his servants were standing about him;)
7Then Saul said unto his servants that stood about him, Hear now, ye Benjamites; will the son of Jesse give every one of you fields and vineyards, and make you all captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds;
8That all of you have conspired against me, and there is none that sheweth me that my son hath made a league with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you that is sorry for me, or sheweth unto me that my son hath stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?
9Then answered Doeg the Edomite, which was set over the servants of Saul, and said, I saw the son of Jesse coming to Nob, to Ahimelech the son of Ahitub.
10And he enquired of the LORD for him, and gave him victuals, and gave him the sword of Goliath the Philistine.
11Then the king sent to call Ahimelech the priest, the son of Ahitub, and all his father’s house, the priests that were in Nob: and they came all of them to the king.
12And Saul said, Hear now, thou son of Ahitub. And he answered, Here I am, my lord.
13And Saul said unto him, Why have ye conspired against me, thou and the son of Jesse, in that thou hast given him bread, and a sword, and hast enquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?
14Then Ahimelech answered the king, and said, And who is so faithful among all thy servants as David, which is the king’s son in law, and goeth at thy bidding, and is honourable in thine house?
15Did I then begin to enquire of God for him? be it far from me: let not the king impute any thing unto his servant, nor to all the house of my father: for thy servant knew nothing of all this, less or more.
16And the king said, Thou shalt surely die, Ahimelech, thou, and all thy father’s house.
17And the king said unto the footmen that stood about him, Turn, and slay the priests of the LORD; because their hand also is with David, and because they knew when he fled, and did not shew it to me. But the servants of the king would not put forth their hand to fall upon the priests of the LORD.
18And the king said to Doeg, Turn thou, and fall upon the priests. And Doeg the Edomite turned, and he fell upon the priests, and slew on that day fourscore and five persons that did wear a linen ephod.
19And Nob, the city of the priests, smote he with the edge of the sword, both men and women, children and sucklings, and oxen, and asses, and sheep, with the edge of the sword.
20And one of the sons of Ahimelech the son of Ahitub, named Abiathar, escaped, and fled after David.
21And Abiathar shewed David that Saul had slain the LORD’s priests.
22And David said unto Abiathar, I knew it that day, when Doeg the Edomite was there, that he would surely tell Saul: I have occasioned the death of all the persons of thy father’s house.
23Abide thou with me, fear not: for he that seeketh my life seeketh thy life: but with me thou shalt be in safeguard.

1David therefore departed from there and escaped to Adullam’s cave. When his brothers and all his father’s house heard it, they went down there to him.
2Everyone who was in distress, everyone who was in debt, and everyone who was discontented gathered themselves to him; and he became captain over them. There were with him about four hundred men.
3David went from there to Mizpeh of Moab; and he said to the king of Moab, “Please let my father and my mother come out to you, until I know what God will do for me.”
4He brought them before the king of Moab; and they lived with him all the time that David was in the stronghold.
5The prophet Gad said to David, “Don’t stay in the stronghold. Depart, and go into the land of Judah.” Then David departed, and came into the forest of Hereth.
6Saul heard that David was discovered, with the men who were with him. Now Saul was sitting in Gibeah, under the tamarisk tree in Ramah, with his spear in his hand, and all his servants were standing around him.
7Saul said to his servants who stood around him, “Hear now, you Benjamites! Will the son of Jesse give everyone of you fields and vineyards? Will he make you all captains of thousands and captains of hundreds?
8Is that why all of you have conspired against me, and there is no one who discloses to me when my son makes a treaty with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you who is sorry for me, or discloses to me that my son has stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as it is today?”
9Then Doeg the Edomite, who stood by the servants of Saul, answered and said, “I saw the son of Jesse coming to Nob, to Ahimelech the son of Ahitub.
10He inquired of the LORD for him, gave him food, and gave him the sword of Goliath the Philistine.”
11Then the king sent to call Ahimelech the priest, the son of Ahitub, and all his father’s house, the priests who were in Nob; and they all came to the king.
12Saul said, “Hear now, you son of Ahitub.” He answered, “Here I am, my lord.”
13Saul said to him, “Why have you conspired against me, you and the son of Jesse, in that you have given him bread, and a sword, and have inquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as it is today?”
14Then Ahimelech answered the king, and said, “Who among all your servants is so faithful as David, who is the king’s son-in-law, captain of your body guard, and honored in your house?
15Have I today begun to inquire of God for him? Be it far from me! Don’t let the king impute anything to his servant, nor to all the house of my father; for your servant knew nothing of all this, less or more.”
16The king said, “You shall surely die, Ahimelech, you and all your father’s house.”
17The king said to the guard who stood about him, “Turn and kill the priests of the LORD, because their hand also is with David, and because they knew that he fled and didn’t disclose it to me.” But the servants of the king wouldn’t put out their hand to fall on the priests of the LORD.
18The king said to Doeg, “Turn and attack the priests!” Doeg the Edomite turned, and he attacked the priests, and he killed on that day eighty-five people who wore a linen ephod.
19He struck Nob, the city of the priests, with the edge of the sword—both men and women, children and nursing babies, and cattle, donkeys, and sheep, with the edge of the sword.
20One of the sons of Ahimelech the son of Ahitub, named Abiathar, escaped and fled after David.
21Abiathar told David that Saul had slain the LORD’s priests.
22David said to Abiathar, “I knew on that day, when Doeg the Edomite was there, that he would surely tell Saul. I am responsible for the death of all the persons of your father’s house.
23Stay with me. Don’t be afraid, for he who seeks my life seeks your life. You will be safe with me.”
