E partitosi da quel luogo andò David a Maspha di Moab, e disse al re di Moab: Resti, ti prego, il padre mio, e la mia madre con voi sino a tanto che io sappia quello che Dio disponga di me.
Y fuése David de allí á Mizpa de Moab, y dijo al rey de Moab: Yo te ruego que mi padre y mi madre estén con vosotros, hasta que sepa lo que Dios hará de mí.
And David went thence to Mizpeh of Moab: and he said unto the king of Moab, Let my father and my mother, I pray thee, come forth, and be with you, till I know what God will do for me.

E lasciogli presso al re di Moab: e ivi rimasero per tutto il tempo che David si stette in quella fortezza.

And the prophet Gad said unto David, Abide not in the hold; depart, and get thee into the land of Judah. Then David departed, and came into the forest of Hareth.

E Saul seppe che David, e la gente che lo seguiva, erano comparsi. Or Saulle stando in Gabaa, ed essendo una volta nel bosco, che è a Rama, avendo in mano la lancia, e intorno a sè tutti i suoi servi,
Y oyó Saúl como había parecido David, y los que estaban con él. Estaba entonces Saúl en Gabaa debajo de un árbol en Rama, y tenía su lanza en su mano, y todos sus criados estaban en derredor de él.

Y dijo Saúl á sus criados que estaban en derredor de él: Oid ahora, hijos de Benjamín: ¿Os dará también á todos vosotros el hijo de Isaí tierras y viñas, y os hará á todos tribunos y centuriones;
Then Saul said unto his servants that stood about him, Hear now, ye Benjamites; will the son of Jesse give every one of you fields and vineyards, and make you all captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds;

Che avete congiurato tutti contro di me, e non havvi chi mi rechi verun avviso, particolarmente dopo che il mio figliuolo ha fatto alleanza col figliuolo d'Isai? Non v'ha alcuno di voi che compiange la mia sorte, o mi dia consiglio: mentre il mio figliuolo ha animato contro di me il mio servo, il quale sino a quest'oggi mi tende insidie.
Que todos vosotros habéis conspirado contra mí, y no hay quien me descubra al oído como mi hijo ha hecho alianza con el hijo de Isaí, ni alguno de vosotros que se duela de mí, y me descubra como mi hijo ha levantado á mi siervo contra mí, para que me aceche, según hace hoy día?
That all of you have conspired against me, and there is none that sheweth me that my son hath made a league with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you that is sorry for me, or sheweth unto me that my son hath stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?
Is that why all of you have conspired against me, and there is no one who discloses to me when my son makes a treaty with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you who is sorry for me, or discloses to me that my son has stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as it is today?”
Rispose Doeg Idumeo, che era presente, e il primo tra' servi di Saul, e disse: Io vidi il figliuolo d'Isai a Nobe presso il sacerdote Achimelech, figliuolo di Achitob:
Entonces Doeg Idumeo, que era superior entre los siervos de Saúl, respondió y dijo: Yo vi al hijo de Isaí que vino á Nob, á Ahimelech hijo de Ahitob;

Il quale consultò il Signore per lui, e gli diede dei viveri: e di più gli diede anche la spada di Goliath Filisteo.

Allora il re mandò a chiamare Achimelech sacerdote, figliuolo di Achitob, e tutti i sacerdoti della casa di lui, che erano in Nobe, i quali tutti si presentarono al re.
Y el rey envió por el sacerdote Ahimelech hijo de Ahitob, y por toda la casa de su padre, los sacerdotes que estaban en Nob: y todos vinieron al rey.

E Saul disse ad Achimelech: Ascolta, figliuolo di Achitob. Ed egli rispose: Son qui, o signore.

And Saul said, Hear now, thou son of Ahitub. And he answered, Here I am, my lord.

E dissegli Saul: Per qual motivo avete congiurato contro di me tu, e il figliuolo d'Isai, e tu gli hai dato dei pani, e la spada, e hai consultato Dio per lui, affinchè si levasse egli a ribellione contro di me, e continuasse fino al dì d'oggi?
Y díjole Saúl: ¿Por qué habéis conspirado contra mí, tú y el hijo de Isaí, cuando tú le diste pan y espada, y consultaste por él á Dios, para que se levantase contra mí y me acechase, como lo hace hoy día?
And Saul said unto him, Why have ye conspired against me, thou and the son of Jesse, in that thou hast given him bread, and a sword, and hast enquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?
Saul said to him, “Why have you conspired against me, you and the son of Jesse, in that you have given him bread, and a sword, and have inquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as it is today?”
E Achimelech rispose al re, e disse: E chi vi ha tra tutti i tuoi servi fedele, come David genero del re, e pronto al tuo comando e rispettato nella tua casa?
Entonces Ahimelech respondió al rey, y dijo: ¿Y quién entre todos tus siervos es tan fiel como David, yerno además del rey, y que va por tu mandado, y es ilustre en tu casa?
Then Ahimelech answered the king, and said, And who is so faithful among all thy servants as David, which is the king’s son in law, and goeth at thy bidding, and is honourable in thine house?
Then Ahimelech answered the king, and said, “Who among all your servants is so faithful as David, who is the king’s son-in-law, captain of your body guard, and honored in your house?
Ho io forse principiato adesso a consultare Dio per lui? Lungi da me tal cosa: e tu o re, non sospettar di tal cosa riguardo al tuo servo, nè riguardo a tutta la casa del padre mio: imperocché nulla ha saputo il tuo servo di queste cose nè poco, nè molto.
¿He comenzado yo desde hoy á consultar por él á Dios? lejos sea de mí: no impute el rey cosa alguna á su siervo, ni á toda la casa de mi padre; porque tu siervo ninguna cosa sabe de este negocio, grande ni chica.
Did I then begin to enquire of God for him? be it far from me: let not the king impute any thing unto his servant, nor to all the house of my father: for thy servant knew nothing of all this, less or more.

E il re disse: Tu morrai senz'altro, Achimelech, tu e tutta la casa del padre tuo.
Y el rey dijo: Sin duda morirás, Ahimelech, tú y toda la casa de tu padre.
And the king said, Thou shalt surely die, Ahimelech, thou, and all thy father’s house.
The king said, “You shall surely die, Ahimelech, you and all your father’s house.”
E il re disse alle guardie, che gli erano d'intorno: Circondate, e uccidete i sacerdoti del Signore; perocché sono d'accordo con Davidde, e sapevano che egli era fuggito, e non me ne han dato parte. Ma i servi del re non vollero stender le loro mani contro i sacerdoti del Signore.
Entonces dijo el rey á la gente de su guardia que estaba alrededor de él: Cercad y matad á los sacerdotes de Jehová; porque también la mano de ellos es con David, pues sabiendo ellos que huía, no me lo descubrieron. Mas los siervos del rey no quisieron extender sus manos para matar á los sacerdotes de Jehová.
And the king said unto the footmen that stood about him, Turn, and slay the priests of the LORD; because their hand also is with David, and because they knew when he fled, and did not shew it to me. But the servants of the king would not put forth their hand to fall upon the priests of the LORD.
The king said to the guard who stood about him, “Turn and kill the priests of the LORD, because their hand also is with David, and because they knew that he fled and didn’t disclose it to me.” But the servants of the king wouldn’t put out their hand to fall on the priests of the LORD.
E il re disse a Doeg: Va tu, e gettati sopra i sacerdoti. E Doeg Idumeo andò, e si gettò sopra i sacerdoti, e trucidò in quel giorno ottantacinque uomini che portavano l'Ephod di lino.
Entonces dijo el rey á Doeg: Vuelve tú, y arremete contra los sacerdotes. Y revolviéndose Doeg Idumeo, arremetió contra los sacerdotes, y mató en aquel día ochenta y cinco varones que vestían ephod de lino.
And the king said to Doeg, Turn thou, and fall upon the priests. And Doeg the Edomite turned, and he fell upon the priests, and slew on that day fourscore and five persons that did wear a linen ephod.
The king said to Doeg, “Turn and attack the priests!” Doeg the Edomite turned, and he attacked the priests, and he killed on that day eighty-five people who wore a linen ephod.
E in Nobe città dei sacerdoti mise a fil di spada uomini, e donne, fanciulli, e bambini di latte, i bovi eziandio, e gli asini, e le pecore.
Y á Nob, ciudad de los sacerdotes, puso á cuchillo: así á hombres como á mujeres, niños y mamantes, bueyes y asnos y ovejas, todo á cuchillo.
And Nob, the city of the priests, smote he with the edge of the sword, both men and women, children and sucklings, and oxen, and asses, and sheep, with the edge of the sword.

Ma un figliuolo di Achimelech, figliuolo di Achitob, che avea nome Abiathar, si rifuggìi presso a Davidde,

E portogli la nuova che Saul avea uccisi i sacerdoti del Signore.
Y Abiathar notició á David como Saúl había muerto los sacerdotes de Jehová.
And Abiathar shewed David that Saul had slain the LORD’s priests.

E disse David ad Abiathar: Io sapeva in quel dì, che essendo ivi Doeg Idumeo, avrebbe senza dubbio avvertito Saul: io son reo della morte di tutta la casa del padre tuo.
Y dijo David á Abiathar: Yo sabía que estando allí aquel día Doeg el Idumeo, él lo había de hacer saber á Saúl. Yo he dado ocasión contra todas las personas de la casa de tu padre.
And David said unto Abiathar, I knew it that day, when Doeg the Edomite was there, that he would surely tell Saul: I have occasioned the death of all the persons of thy father’s house.
David said to Abiathar, “I knew on that day, when Doeg the Edomite was there, that he would surely tell Saul. I am responsible for the death of all the persons of your father’s house.
Restati meco: non temere: chi cercherà la mia vita, cercherà anche la tua, e meco pure avrai salute. Davidde dopo aver liberata Ceila da' Filistei, per non essere da que’ di Ceila dato nelle mani di Saul, fugge nel deserto di Ziph, e gli Ziphei lo tradiscono. Rinnovazione dell'alleanza tra David, e Gionata. Saulle dà dietro a David, il quale è liberato mediante una repentina scorreria de’ Filistei.
Quédate conmigo, no temas: quien buscare mi vida, buscará también la tuya: bien que tú estarás conmigo guardado.
Abide thou with me, fear not: for he that seeketh my life seeketh thy life: but with me thou shalt be in safeguard.
Stay with me. Don’t be afraid, for he who seeks my life seeks your life. You will be safe with me.”
