6Respondió David al sacerdote y le dijo: “Te aseguro que nos hemos abstenido de mujeres ayer y anteayer, desde cuando salí; los cuerpos de mi gente están puros; y aunque el viaje es profano, sin embargo se encuentran ahora santificados sus cuerpos.”

6Así el sacerdote le dió el pan sagrado, porque allí no había otro pan que los panes de la proposición, los cuales habían sido quitados de delante de Jehová, para que se pusiesen panes calientes el día que los otros fueron quitados.

6So the priest gave him hallowed bread: for there was no bread there but the shewbread, that was taken from before the LORD, to put hot bread in the day when it was taken away.
