Vi fu un uomo della montagna di Ephraim, della città di Ramathaim Sophim, che avea nome Elcana, figliuolo di Jeroham, figliuolo di Eliu, figliuolo di Thohu, figliuolo di Suph, Ephrateo:

HUBO un varón de Ramathaim de Sophim, del monte de Ephraim, que se llamaba Elcana, hijo de Jeroham, hijo de Eliú, hijo de Thohu, hijo de Suph, Ephrateo.

Now there was a certain man of Ramathaim-zophim, of mount Ephraim, and his name was Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Elihu, the son of Tohu, the son of Zuph, an Ephrathite:
