55Es de advertir que al ver Saúl que David se dirigía contra el filisteo, preguntó a Abner, general de las tropas: Abner, ¿de qué familia es ese joven? Y Abner respondió: Juro por tu vida, oh rey, que no lo sé.

55And when Saul saw David go forth against the Philistine, he said unto Abner, the captain of the host, Abner, whose son is this youth? And Abner said, As thy soul liveth, O king, I cannot tell.
